Mass Effect: Signal Lost
Project Overview
Good day!
This is a minor project, set in the Mass Effect universe, that requires your help :)
Brief rundown of project:
A largely audio piece, focusing on radio transmissions during the Reaper invasion of Earth. The project begins with a mundane broadcast discussing recent comm-outages, shortly before the Reaper invasion.
The radio signal switches multiple times, giving the listener small but impactful slices of life during the invasion. From the news broadcast, we hear snippets of military comm chatter and civilian distress.
None of the roles are particularly large, as this is an 'introductory' project to a potential series I've been working on for some time now.
The 'news anchor' role is the largest, with approximately 120 words. All other roles are either one or two lines.
All are equally valuable to the project, however!
Requirements:
-A microphone with minimal background noise (though some bleed can be tolerated, due to the nature of the project).
-Ability to deliver lines as though they are yours, not mine :)
-Ability to talk via Discord, or the CCC messaging service.
Once all roles have been filled, I will create a discord group for all to join so that we may better coordinate & communicate. If there's anybody who can't join, then CCC's messaging system will suffice.
Disclaimer: Voice acting in this project will not make you famous. Sorry :(( It's highly unlikely this project will win any awards. It's purely a fun 'addition' to the Mass Effect Universe, one of many I plan to create, and the second I will have published publicly. I understand this may not encourage people to audition, but I wanted to be honest :) If you want to be part of a small project, and are a fan of the Mass Effect universe - feel free to submit an audition!
An example of a similar, albeit smaller, rough project I made by myself yesterday:

For anyone who does get chosen, a credit on the published video, as well as an endorsement will be provided! :)

The role of a News Anchor reporting just before, then during, the Reaper invasion of Earth. Initial broadcast starts mundane. Formal, neutral tone. Think standard BBC reporting!
Becomes more hesitant, unsure as the broadcast goes on. The last few lines of this character should sound panicked, but quiet, as if in disbelief.
Each of the three audition lines correspond to moments at the beginning, middle, and end of the broadcast. As such:
Line 1: read with formal, matter-of-fact tone.
Line 2: Unsure, uncertain. The 'teleprompter' is down, and they're unsure what to say next. Relying on professionalism. Quieter delivery.
Line 3: Disbelief, shock. Professionalism gone.

Alliance officials still have no explanations for the mysterious comm outage experienced by billions planet-wide this morning. What started earlier today, a few isolated cases of extra-solar communication problems, has developed into a major global issue.
Ladies and gentlemen we uh, we’ve just received reports that Luna station has gone dark. We’re attempting to find out more, (quick pause, sigh) but for the time being we’ll maintain…
Somebody call the Alliance! We need-
We only hear this character briefly, but they remain one of 4 key voices in the project!
Militaristic character. Middle aged-sounding (though any adult voice will do!).
Gruff, loud, imposing voice.
English accent preferred (London very much preferred!) though will happily consider American if the voice fits!

You! I want those fighters in the air now!
You tell him I don’t give a damn! We’re getting our arses kicked"
This character only has two lines, but is still one of the four major roles in the project!
Tone should be frightened, desperate. Shouting, but not in anger. Quick delivery!
Any gender, and British / American accents welcome (though Welsh / Scottish / Irish accents preferred!)

Yes, yes we’re being overrun! Tell all medical vehicles to vacate immediately!
This voice only has one line (split in two, by radio static)!
This 'character' is in fact a pre-recorded advertisement. As such, voice should sound happy, chipper, joyful, informative.
Gender doesn't matter, and any English or American accent will be considered!

There is a lot of vocal foley involved in this project - background voices which aren't prominent, and are often obscured. I would still like to offer these roles to actors, however, rather than use stock audio as I'd like to give people the opportunity to perform!
There are 3 main varieties I will need:
1. Background conversation, hushed murmurings, concerned gasps. These are the quietest lines.
2. Military shouting, grunting.
3. (The tricky one!) Screaming, shouting, yelling.
As all the voices will be coming through a radio speaker, and are designed to sound distant, microphone quality is *not* an important issue here! In fact, if the vocal performance sounds distant, rather than ASMR, that's a plus!
I've created a few lines to try out below - in your audition, please tell me which of the three types of background voice you'd like to do (or, multiple, if you'd like!).
What did he say? ¦ No, it can't be? ¦ Let me see that again...
Go, go, go! ¦ Over there! ¦ Come on, move out!
*frantic scream*. ¦ Help! ¦ Oh God, no!
Similar to the 'Colonel' character mentioned earlier.
Lines should be delivered in a confident, demanding, militaristic fashion. Slightly slow, deliberate delivery. Not shouting too loud, this character doesn’t get flustered, though he’s losing patience with communication problems, so frustration is a great thing to hear

What do you mean you can’t reach Arcturus station? (Pause) Well keep trying godamnit, and bring my point-defence back online!
Orizaba! Orizaba come in! This is Admiral Halsey of the Fourth Fleet.
Damn it… All hands, abandon ship! Repeat, abandon- (interrupted by explosion).
The final voice we hear over the radio. A civilian is trapped, hiding from the Reaper forces.
Their call for help should be muted, quiet, as though afraid of being discovered. There should be fear, desperation in their voice.
I've included three lines, as while they sound repetitive, the goal here is to have each line sound progressively more scared and desperate, raising pitch a little each time. This isn't a frantic, shouting role. This is a "hiding under the bed from the intruder" type role. Except with Reapers :)

Hello..? Is there anybody on this frequency?
Hello? I’m… We’re trapped. We don’t know what to do. They’re going to find us…
What should we do? Is anyone there? Hello?
