With a serious personality, she is said to be the strongest female character in school. Despite the fact that she hates karate, she still has a great appreciation for it.
(Matter of fact) I might not like karate, but that's not going to stop me from seeing you get into shape.
(Flirtatious) Oh Mutou-kun, you're already the strongest man here. Why don't you come back with me to Okinawa? I'm sure you can find a new challenge there.
(Serious) Mutou-kun. I don't think you should enter that underground tournament. You may be the strongest man in this university, heck maybe even this whole city, but down there... they don't play by the rules. I don't want to see you and that Minoru kid hurt.
Hayama is shown at the beginning of the story as the weakest and all around lamest member of the Second Karate Club. Hayama has had low self-estem issues since he was the weakest out of the club. He says every time he gets hit their face starts to look like "his". Since Kentarou was bullied out of the Karate-Do club after a week, "his" could be referring to one of the first karate club's senpais.
As the story progresses, he inevitably grows into one of the greatest karateka, fighting in tournaments. Kentarou talks extremely high of himself.
Heh, Karate is super scary, it even hurts too, but it's really exciting and fun! That's why you just have to keep going and get stronger.
(Gets punched in the face.) ACH! Oh... Oh... Ow. Th-That wasn't supposed to happen. (Under his breath.) Take it easy Minoru-san. I'm trying to look good in front of Rika-chan.
(Pumped) Alright! Get ready for my SPECIAL ATTACK! ORAORAORAOraoraoraoraora...'pant' 'pant' Attatatatata...'pant' 'gasp'...Apapapa... Hold on. Gimme' a second to catch my breath. You know what? Spar me after I've got my cardio up to speed. You wouldn't want too easy of a fight would you?
Mamiya Seiji is a kind boy who first helped Minoru when he was just new to the karate club. Mamiya cares deeply about his teammates. He was so worried that his older brother would beat Minoru up that he almost considered quitting the 2nd karate club and go back to to the kendo club. Mamiya is a stubborn boy at some times.
He can be self-centered at times. He needs to accept things through theoretical explanation.
He is the type that is too attached to the idea of winning and won't even consider losing.
This is so frustrating! I'm moving my head but I'm still getting pummeled. Worse yet, I'm too short for any effective low kicks. I've got no range!
Yo Minoru-san. Don't worry about Mutou-sempai. He's just really proud of his physic and strength, but I'm pretty sure at one point or another he was just like you.
So what you're saying is that all of these basic blocks are strikes and these strikes are also blocks?Well I guess, blocks aren't the best term to use, it's more about "receiving" the attack, isn't it.
