Hey guys! Unfortunately, the comic dubs for "The Forgotten Raven" and "i eat pasta for breakfast" are cancelled. I will explain more tomorrow on why, but for now, I wish to make up for those cancellations by creating an even better project than those two. So I ask of those who see this project to tell anybody that you know that would at least be interested or consider it a try. It would mean the world to me if I got one of these projects done before I graduate high school. But with that said, let's get the sappy stuff out of the way, and just get to the even longer synopsis, okay? OKAY!
Synopsis (Also, some of Narrator's lines) : Long, long ago, in the world of Alvoreon, two sisters lived far away in secret from society. Why, you may ask? Well, legend says that they were high class sorceresses within the spirit world, and they helped changed the seasons year round, causing others to fear them, and some to be jealous of them. One fateful day, they were found in their small cottage in the forest, and sentenced to death immediately. However, before their final hour ended, the sisters gave the spirits of the forest every ounce of their powers, asking to hide them away until the day when another can posses them, for they fear that tragedy awaits the future.
Centuries later, and war has uproared between countries Lavora and Naviar, so it's up to Anabelle, Beatrice, Leona, and Ester to end it before it's too late.
This is an audio drama that sets a fantasy story that involves fairies, elves, and many more magical being within the world of Alvoreon, and it's a story that is inspired by Rooster Teeth's "RWBY". I hope that you guys enjoy it once it can get on my YT channel. With that said, good luck!
Congratulations on those who got casted for the drama! Unfortunately, I wish that I could have more roles for people to play in, but I feel like that would be too much to prosper in terms of the audio drama's story. All are welcome to still be a part as a background voice. Thos who are casted must send me their email and Skype by Sunday evening. These are just some small/background characters that would be considered just as an ensemble to the plot. These include villagers, knights, fairies, and many more, so I wish for auditioners to have some variety from one another, from children's voices to adult's. I'm also going to need voice actors for some slightly bigger roles such as Ester's father, the Fairy Queen, and Bradyn's master. Also, If you don't feel like you could doone of the sample lines, you can improvise one for a different vocal range.
"(An old shopkeeper) Hey, watch where you're going, ya little punk!"
"(A random noble's child) Oh, sorry miss! I didn't know! My apologies..... Please don't tell my mother about this..."
"(A fairy) Check! Check! And triple check! We should be able to get that field a bloomin' by tomorrow at dawn, ma'am! Shouldn't be too much of a hassle at this rate..."
Our main baddy of the story. As the queen of Naviar, she searches for more power in order to control all four kingdoms. When she was Queen Alexandra, she took notice of the rumors of the mystical powers of Katherine and Maryann, and wished to take them for her own needs. After the sisters' execution, she was able to fake her own death, and took on another name; Marina. As she used her own magic to make herself a different, yet youthful appearance, she was able to convince the nobility that she was Alexandra's "Sister". Now as Queen Marina, she continues to search for the powers of the sisters, as they are heavily connected with powers of the spirit world. The question now stands; Why? Why does she wish for complete control of Alvoreon? And will she succeed?
For reference, try to think of someone who can hold a strong grip on people. Although, I might just cast two people for this role, one person as Marina (who has a higher pitch than her other counterpart) and Alexandra. This does not mean that they are two different people, as both of whom is cast will have to say some lines together.
"(As Alexandra) What is it, General Cain? Why have you returned so early from your expedition?"
"(As Alexandra) Tell you what, witch. I could spare you from your death, if... you are willing to give me your powers.......... Don't think that I don't take notice of the rumors that the citizens of this kingdom have created. Now let's make the details simple; I wish to obtain more magic in my rule, and you wish to live. In order for you to be spared, you must willingly give up your powers to me. Is that a deal?"
"(As Queen Marina) Silence, knight. You should be in no position to speak..................... You do have a point, Arthur. Sir Maxwell..... It has become your duty to take care of the girl yourself... Since you seem to enjoy talking about her, surely it is because you wish to kill her yourself, right?"
The younger sister out of the two sorceresses. Age 17. Controls the elements of the spring and summer seasons. Somewhat energetic, yet bubbly and kind.
"(In a frantic manner) Uh, n-no! I'm fine, really! I can walk by myself! [Cain asks if she's sure] Mhm! [She walks away]"
"[She walks into the cottage] Sister, I'm home! [Maryann asks what she got] Oh, you know, some apples, some other fruits, a couple of vegetables [Maryann says that she's not being specific] Well, maybe you should come over here and see for yourself instead of just sitting there reading a book."
"(In confusion) Maryann, I don't understand; what are you talking about? What do you mean you saw something horrifying? No one in the family's ever been able to see the future, so are you sure?"
The elder sister out of the two sorceresses. Age 21. Controls the elements of the fall and winter seasons. More calm and mature than Katherine.
"That's nice, Katherine. What did you get [What Katherine says in line 2] Can you be specific?"
"(In anger, but with a somewhat calm voice) Now wait just a moment; Who gave you the right to claim such things? You haven't seen anything from us, you- [Cain tells her to be quiet.]"
"I fear that this is only the beginning, my dear friends. Back in our home, I studied abroad upon something that no one has ever done. [Katherine asks what] Do you remember when I was brewing tea? I was trying to see into the future, but what I saw was... horrifying..."
The journeyman of one of the local blacksmith's in the Elania Kingdom, Bradyn is happy-go-lucky guy who loves to do what he does, even if it might be the hardest of times to be one. Due to an increase demand of weapons and armor from the Lavora Kingdom, he's seen to Ester and Leona (this is before they find Anabelle) to spend most of the time working hard. However, after a surprise attack from Naviar caused most of his village to burn, as well as to cause the death of his master, he is determined to help the girls in any way if it would stop whatever Naviar is up to. He has sandy blonde hair and golden-brown eyes. Expirement with the voice; no personal preferences.
"(Working on a sword) Sorry, ma'am! A little busy here! Cant take any request for now. Come back in a few days; maybe I'll have less armor and weaponry to work on then."
"(Points at Ester's map) Well, you see here, the forest is actually not to far from here. If you just walk south from here for about ten minutes, you should be at the border. Though I do ask, why do you wish to go there to begin with? You do realize of the many rumored beasts hidden in that forest, right? And the myth of how many who decide to go there never return? Are you sure you pretty ladies wish to go to such a place?"
"(After his master's death) No, no, it's fine. *sniff* Though, I might ask, do you think I could check your sizes? You need armor, don't you? For your journey?"
An orphan who grew up surrounded by nature in the suburban area of the Elania Kingdom, Anabelle was forced into a situation in which she was not prepared for as a child. Abandoned by her father as a child out of spite, she self-taught herself about her surroundings, including hunting and taming animals. Now at seventeen, she wields the ability to manipulate the elements of the Spring. The thing is, with her lack of social skills, she's barely prepared of her future, and what she'll face. That will all change once she unites with Ester and Leona to defend for herself along the way for what she thinks is right.
"(Shooing away a pack of wolves from Ester and Leona) Beck! Beck! Beck, I say! ['Beck' is just 'back in her accent] Go back to den!"
"You... you friend? Or... you enemy?"
"How should say this? Um... you fight for good... I wish to fight,too.. Will you... allow me?"
Leader of the Naviar army, Cain is loyal to it's leader, Queen Alexandra, and would follow her every order without a second thought. Although he is kind to the citizens around him, if the Queen demands death (or if he suspects a threat to her), he will make that request happen. A minor character
"(Apologetic, and with concern) Oh, forgive me, ma'am! How unchivalrous of me! I did not see you there! Are you alright?"
"(With kindness) I see... than I shall escort you back to your home. It's the least I can do. [Katherine refuses in a frantic manner] Huh? Are you sure? [Katherine says yes, before scurrying away] (With suspicion in his tone of voice) Hm..."
"(Bold, and with aggression) You two are under arrest for suspicions of threat against her majesty Queen Alexandra, and being accused of practicing witchcraft. Therefore you are sentenced with your lives when the sun sets tomorrow evening. Guards, take them to the dungeons for their last remaining days."
Leona is a sparky and energetic teen that's part of the Marquie kingdom, a supporter of it's neighbor, the Naviar kingdom. She inherits some of Katherine's powers, and now wields the ability to control the elements of the summer. She's a 15 year old with black hair and bright green eyes, and lives alone on the streets as a "scavenger" with her dog, Theo. As a "scavenger", she distracts people in the local marketplaces with entertainment (i.e. singing, dancing, etc.), while her dog sneaks goods and food from the stands. Her parents abandoned her as an infant, but yet Leona tries to stay happy after all those years of staying with others that were homeless. For reference, try using Jade's (from Homestuck) headcannon voice or Ruby's (RWBY) voice.
"Theo! Where are ya? Here, boy! Here! *wistles* [Theo emerges from the shadows of an alleyway with a small bag loosely hanging from his mouth.] Nice! What d'ya get, boy? [She looks into the bag.] Aw, sweet! This is the good stuff that I've been talking about! And it's fresh outta the oven. [She pulls out a loaf of bread.]"
"[Ester tells her that she inherited the powers of Katherine.] Um... wha? Sorry lady, but... Did I just hear ya correctly? A sorceress? Ya sure? Not to say that your wrong though, but for all we know, I could only manipulate bugs and maggots... (to herself) Actually, now that I think about it, that could be some use to me when I- [Ester: When you what?] Nothin'!"
"*Sing a song of your choice that would fit the character*"
The 18 year old daughter of a wealthy nobleman of Queen Alexandra, she is polite and prosperous by society's standards in the Naviar kingdom. However, once she (unknowingly and accidentally) shows her powers as a wielder of Maryann's Winter manipulation magic during a conference with many other nobles, she runs away, knowing that she would be killed if caught. She hides in the nearest forest, and is found by Ester, Leona, and Anabelle shortly before guards arrive to capture Beatrice. She joins them after they defeat the guard, although she feels as though she can't fully trust them since for all she knows, her father might've sent them to kill her themselves. She trust them overtime, and becomes confident enough to withstand her parent's influence the next time she meets him again. For reference, try sounding somewhat like a classical Disney princess, sweet and polite, except try to sound more mature (I don't know why, but the princesses then sounded like they were 10 to me when I looked back onto it.)
"(To a guest at the conference) Sir, I ask of you to refrain yourself from touching that. It's my mother's prized possession; my father gave it to her when he proposed, and she wore it on the wedding. It really means a lot to them, so... could you not?"
"(In fear and confusion of what she did-after the conference) What... just happened? D-Did I do that?............. Oh god... [She hears footsteps in the distance. She covers her mouth with her hands in fear.] (Muffled) Oh no, oh no, oh no... (Near in tears) Someone, please help..."
"(In suspicion of the others) How do I know if I can trust you? For all I know, you could just be assassins that were sent to kill me as well. You do certainly have the fighting skills for that job..................... Alright, you have me convinced, for now. However, it does not mean that I trust you yet."
The apprentice of Ester's father, he grew up with the family most of her life. When Ester goes missing, he is sent to look for her, and ends up becoming an ally to the entire group for their journey, usually for moral support and food supplier. A semi-main character. Has messy light brown hair and pale green eyes. 16 years old. For reference, go with a dorky personality, but still cheerful and laid-back guy (Example: Brief from 'Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt')
"(Asleep) *Snores* Five more minutes, boss. It's still morning... *Snores*............. HUH?!? WAIT, IT'S AFTERNOON?!?WHA-! I-! BOSS! I'M-! *Ester chuckles at the prank she pulled*..... (In relief and slight tiredness, but at the same time sounding mad) Geez, uou can be really meam at time, you know? I almost had a heart attack..."
"(Spotting Ester from afar) Ester! Ester! Come on, look behind you, dammit! [She turns into a corner. He sighs, running after her.]"
"(Serious tone) Ester, you must understand I was sent here by your father to search for you in case something happened. He's worried sick, you know, since you, just kinda wondered off into the night all by yourself exposed to the many dangers of the night. Though no matter what Ester, I will always be there willing to protect you at any cost. I care about you as well... you were my only friend when we were little..."
The bodyguard of Beatrice's surprise fiancee, Maxwell is a new knight to the Naviaran army, with dark blue eyes and black hair. After Beatrice runs away when she accidentally unleashed her powers in anger, he is sent to kill her under the orders of her now upset fiancee. However, he ends up becoming an ally to the group, serving as a mentor for harnassing their powers, as well as battle strategy. Has blood red hair, and grey eyes. For reference to his what he should sound like, try to think of a suave and gentlemanly (is that even a word?) voice.
"(To Beatrice, kneeling on one foot and holding her hand) My lady, it is an honor to make your aquaintace. I hope you and my lord will get along well."
"(To Queen Alexandra) Your highness, isn't there some other way? I've overheard it from her myself; she had no idea that she had an arranged marriage. You must understand that she- (Alexandra tell him to be silent, and he hold his tongue back (Metaphorically, not literally), sighing in slight annoyance)"
"(To Beatrice as she is cornered against a wall.) Forgive me, my lady. But under the orders of my lord and master, and under Queen Marina's rule, it is my duty to put an end to whatever you have planned for the Kingdoms of Alvoreon."
The fiancee to Beatrice, and the superior to Maxwell, this 19 year old, strawberry blonde haired, sepia-eyed male is a noble who recently inherited his father's jewelry company. He becomes infuriated with Beatrice as she not only didn't wish to marry him, but wishes her entire family to suffer, as he thought that her father knew about her powers from the start. A minor bad guy, but still plays an important role in the story after Chapter 4. For reference to his voice, I would think of him as like a Draco Malfoy character, with a somewhat pompous and arrogant tone in voice, yet I still wish for those who audition for him sound like a proper gentleman most of the time.
"Well, well, well... Look at what we have here. The daughter of our great host herself, Beatrice. It's a pleasure to be in you and your father's presence. I hope that we can get along very well."
"Your highness, this fellow noble standing before you has nearly tricked my family and I into letting a witch into the family. This is something that would have brought complete dishonor and shame to our business if not for the fact that she already showed her true self. If I were the one to make the decision, I say that both her and her family will have to pay a certain price."
"My dear snowdrop, you must be mistaken; I only made your father spread the truth about you... Think about it Beatrice-ever since that conference, Naviar has slowly turned into a state of panic, in fear that you would go on a blood rage against your people... And that you would be just as strong as your predecessor was in the legends. So, to keep the people known about their safety, I made your father tell the entire kingdom just how dangerous you are to them, and made them sure that they needed to be prepared for your arrival. You must understand, Beatrice. You simply must."
One of the wielders of Maryann's magic, Ester is the first of our four main heroines that we see in the drama, and a common peasant among the Lavora Kingdom. A 16 year old with dirty blonde hair and dark brown eyes, she used to manage her father's bakery while he was away for trade of supplies. That was until she was struck by Maryann's magic after it was unleashed, granting her the ability to manipulate the elements of Autumn. A quiet and down to earth person, Maryann must face challenges as she recruits the others who have been granted the Sorceress' powers on her journey to end the war.
"Afternoon, father. How was trade today?......... The bakery's been doing fine. We've had about four customers come in so far."
"Well, I'll be off, father. I'm heading to the marketplace to get some ingredients for dinner. Do you wish for me to get anything specific?"
"*Groans in pain as she wakes up* What happened to me? [The father asks what happened] I was just heading out the door, and then suddenly I saw this flash of light before passing out."
The Narrator tells the details of the story, both minor and major (i.e. history of... story, character traits, actions). Minor character. No gender specifics.
"Long, long ago, in the world of Alvoreon (Al-vor-ee-on), two sister lived in secrecy from society. Why, you may ask? Well, legend says that they were high class sorceresses within the spirit world, and they helped changed the seasons year round, causing others to fear them, and some to be jealous of them."
"There stood above then young boy a girl no older than 17, with hair the color of the finest oak, and eyes of silver grey. She wore a plain red sundress with worn out sandals, and a straw haw to block her eyes from the sun. He bumped into her by accident, as she fell to her knees while some of the apples from her basket tumbled onto the ground."
"And so, with their final wishes granted, they were whisked away to their inevitable doom. However, with their story ending, a new one begins, many centuries later. And that is where our story truly begins..."
One of the younger fairies of the forest who accindently unleashes the sorceress' powers, and must guide alongside Anabelle, Beatrice, Leona, and Ester on their journey to end the war as a mentor to harness their newfound powers. A clumbsy, yet kind spirit. She's actually hundreds of years old, despite her appearance and youthful voice. She has light blue hair, dark green eyes, pale skin, and usually wears a light grey tunic. She can transform between her fairy form, and her human form, to which her hair turns a light brown color, and her voice becomes a bit deeper.
"(Trying to stop a spell from breaking something) Uh! Woah! No! Not there! Wait! (She ends up deflecting the spell onto the chamber where the powers of the sisters are) Uh... oh..."
"Your Majesty, please forgive me for what I have done. I promise that I will atone for my- (Queen Elada, the Fairy Queen, angrily shouts at her to be silent, to which Amelia yelps as she flinches back)"
"(To Ester) Thank you so much! I thought I was a goner! But... oh god... (she realizes of what she must do now) What do I do?! I've never even mentored another fairy, much less of a human! Forgive me if I sound pessimistic, but I don't think you'll learn much from me! I- [Ester stops her mid sentence]"
