Magnolia: Storyboard Series (+ Short Animation)
Project Overview
Quick Intro:
BEFORE YOU AUDITION PLEASE READ ME.
Okay! Now I got your attention, I want to clear a couple of things; I need TWO CHARACTERS for this small animation project as well as for my series that I am making called Magnolia (which I will explain later). These two were originally going to appear in a bigger casting call but due to my predicament, I require them more sooner than expected. As your auditioning, keep in mind you are not only auditioning for a small animation but a bigger project as well.
What is Magnolia?
Magnolia is a storyboard/animatic series I am making based on the lore of the game: Paladins: Champions of the Realm. All of this is the sake for fun and perhaps both an experience for you and me! Everything here is volunteer and free. I'm sadly too broke to pay :,).
What is the small Animation about?
The animation takes place in Featherthorn, Bealieu's home. Red came alongside Bealieu only to take a vacation, hoping to learn a bit more about Bealieu's past and fit in with the community as well as her family. However, he struggles to do so as Bealieu's uncle, Roorfoot The Blind, doesn't approve of Red. Throughout, Red tries to impress Roorfoot, hoping to gain his approval.
What I am looking for:
1. Clean Mic: Please have a clean mic with little to no background noise! This will allow the speech to be clean and real-sounding! Please try not to spike!
2. Express Emotions: Please express your emotions clearly and to the best of your ability! This is the biggest thing I am looking for in an audition. The better you can convey the emotion, the more likely I may choose you.
3. Availability: As you do your audition you are telling me that you will be available when you can. I understand that if personal stuff happens and I am lenient but if you have too much on your plate, please reconsider your choices.
4. Paladins: The story takes place on the same plot as EvilMojo's Paladins. You DO NOT have to know anything about the game to join. But if you would like to, fill free to watch this link: https://youtu.be/TrztEF5HmAs
5. Cursing: THERE WILL BE CURSING IN THIS SERIES. If you aren't the person to curse I recommend you not to join!
6. The Story Itself: I have made this story for fun and wanted something to at least do! The story takes place in Paladins but NO SHAPE OR FORM is it connected to the canon. This is all fan-made. This also has heavy OC x canon and I know some people are not a fan of that. But I am still doing it for the sake of fun.

Last Day to Audition!
I want to thank everyone for auditioning! I want to post this reminder that I am going to make another Casting Call for Magnolia (Storyboard Series) Season One sometime by the end of this month or early next month! If you would like to be notified for that, let me know! -

Bealieu is a cat engineer recently hired by the Magistrate. Her job is to mainly help with the weaponry malfunctions. However, her time within the Magistrate may be hard with her rivalry with Red. Which may grow into something else.
Bealieu is smart and resourceful. Rather than using crystals, the main power source used, she sticks with steel and engineering, still providing the same intensity as crystal weapons. However, when someone tries to push her buttons, she knows how to fight back--hence her small rivalry with Red.
For Bealieu, I am looking for a strong voice. She’s rather sarcastic often but also kind and optimistic.
Bealieu will be a lead in the animation short
Bealieu in the short will be moreover a wild card--mostly happy to be home. She is eager to show Red her home but extremely worried when it comes to meeting her family.
"See, now here's your problem; you brought the six onto the value of distance. It should've been about seventy-two and a quarter rather than an estimated thirty."
((Assisting, explaining))

Red will appear from time to time throughout the series but plays a big role when it comes to the main character’s backstory. Red is an agent and a mage, doing his job quite well--though getting distracted by the paranormal and rather questionable findings.
Red is a wild card, though mostly he acts calm. He stays true to his agent title and even does things behind his leader’s back (though it gets the job done). He is grumpy from time to time and will snap without warning. He is only patient with those he is close too--even the stubborn cat. (P.S. He also enjoys writing poems but very few shall know of this)
Red’s voice can vary. My preference, however, is for him to have a moreover deeper voice but that is entirely optional. I need something along the lines of grumpy/tired (but it's also optional). I am also looking for someone who is willing to cuss a LOT.
Red will be a lead in the animation short.
Throughout the short, Red is dealing with the constant edge in the back of his mind--worrying about how Bea's family would think of what he is. He keeps his "tough" exterior, hoping to hide any trace of his worries and follows Bealieu around her home.
"What? Is reading poems under the pale moonlight not idealistic for you? Don't tell me I have to take you to an expensive dinner first."
((Joking, Sarcasm))
"Burn the bodies far away from here. I don't want to smell burning flesh in my damn sleep."
