Madotsuki vs Urotsuki (Yume Nikki X Yume 2kki)
Project Overview
a project that i've had my mind on for a while. though i guess it's also a way for me to try out drawn animation for once.
i've done my research on both Yume Nikki and Yume 2kki before i planned to do this idea. and while the lore theory of the game Yume Nikki isn't really canon , it's mainly accepted throughout the community of Yume Nikki and that will mainly be seen in the story shown within the animation. so before you decide to watch the animation, please go to the Yume Nikki Wiki and read on the Theory for the lore, it's important. please also consider playing Yume Nikki as it is free on steam and Yume 2kki which is a free game to download and both are a wonderful experience (though if it's not for you i understand)
while there is a due date for voices, i'm truly not sure when i'll get this project done, what with school and all. but i do hope i find time to finish it in some way around early 2020. and even so i want to put my best foot forward and show effort. so please join me on my journey to help put effort into this.
also a bit of undertale will be thrown into the mix because that's what won the twitter polls

Madostuki is the main character of Yume Nikki, and is, for the most part, mute. however she can still say words, read, and write.
As with virtually everything else in the game, Madotsuki's identity and life are a mystery. Only what can be seen in-game can be considered canon, although there are many varying interpretations of her.
Although there is no indication nor canonicity of age given in the game, she is often depicted as a young person.
"I'M SORRY!" (say this in a sad tone)
"...get out....GET OUT OF MY DREAM!"
"....lets not fight....anymore."
Unlike Madotsuki, Urotsuki's dreamscape has a relatively lighter atmosphere. While it does contain darker areas, the majority of them are of a more neutral nature -- e.g. Geometry World, Realistic Beach, Highway, etc. Despite this, Urotsuki may have somewhat sociopathic tendencies or a strong interest in violence.
she is less mute then Mado, not being afraid to show her violent nature. this doesn't make her insane, but she is a little on the crazy side
"oh, another area? guess i must have missed this one"
"HAHA! NICE KNIFE SWINGS! you almost hit me too....HEY! WANNA SEE HOW MY CHAINSAW SWINGS TOO?"
"okay...i think it's safe to say we have a common enemy....Truce?"
this person is a mischievous jester like character that is non binary in gender. they tend to show themselves as an all powerful being....in which that is what they are. they tend to break the forth wall and can even open portals to other games. what does this have to do with Yume Nikki and Yume 2kki?
well, the nexus, or rather Madotsuki and Urotsuki's dreams, is where they meet and fight, and this Mysterious onlooker connected their minds, their dreams, and forced them to fight. now that they see the onlooker who's been watching and laughing this entire time, how will they respond, and how will the onlooker fight them?
"my my. it seems both have begun to sleep. perfect, now to connect their minds like so and.....there. perfect, my plan has begun."
"This should be amusing to watch, heheheh. i wonder which side wins, the original, or a alternate universe?"
"BRAVO! BRAVO! what a wonderful fight between knife and chainsaw, girl v girl, 1 on 1. however you two....the fun is just about to begin! are you ready for a REAL BATTLE? THEN TRY IF YOU DARE, AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
if you have ever played undertale before, you should probably know frisks kind hearted yet neutral nature of things.
if not. then here is a short explanation: frisk is a pacifist, usually preferring to spare and help rather than kill. they are genderless, and are quick to act in situations, often adapting when needed
"Chara, please, don't erase this world. it's not worth it. we can start over, we can fix this"
"huh? who are you two?"
if you have ever played undertale before, you should probably know Chara's neutral nature of things.
if not. then here is a short explanation: Chara is Neutral, usually preferring to spare and/or kill. they are genderless, and are quick to act in situations, often adapting when needed.
in this instance for the animation, Chara will be at the end of a genocide route, seeings as that's the only time you actually see them. being influenced by the player to kill, and now is free from the players control but still under the influence of killing.
"you already know you have no control over me frisk. so stop acting like you do, we are getting rid of this world, and them moving onto the next without delay"
"...more humans? no....thats not right. i can't sense their souls....who are they?"
