Voice: While the teacher is technically female, it might be fun to have a boy doing an over-exaggerated "School Marm" voice. Both woman and men feel free to audition.
(Confused): I'm sorry, what?
(Reproachfully): Was it really necessary to meet at a bar, I am still on duty.
Voice: I'm doing something a bit different and I would like to give Kyubey a refined British accent. He must sound full of himself, as if he knows he's better than everybody else.
(Exasperated) Oh boy, this is going to be a long day.
(First in discomfort, then slightly surprised): Oh dear, did I die again? Huh? Mami, who are thes two abnormally hair-colored hussies?
(Bemused): No dear, I'm not saying you're like cattle to me, I'm saying you ARE cattle to me. You're just a fat, methane spewing meat sack who's only useful once you've been taken to slaughter.
Voice: Just a regular teenage boy voice. Do whatever you feel is right.
(Jokingly): I mean it would be REALLY weird if you had a crush on me, am I right?
(Sincerely): It's nice to have some company once in awhile.
(Angrily): Sayaka, do you hate me?
Hitomi is one of Madoka and Sayaka's friends from school. She is unaware that her friends battle the forces of evil on a daily basis and probably wouldn't want to know anyway. In our series we'll be playing Hitomi up as a major Homophobe to complement Madoka's character.
Voice: A fairly basic teenage girl voice. She often has a slight condescending tone in her voice.
(Strict): Just remember Madoka: don't ask, don't tell.
(Upset): Oh my God, I didn't ask for explicit detail! This is so wrong! Girls can't love girls! Girls can't love girls! Girls can't love girls!
(Exasperated): Why do I hang out with you guys?
This will be a relatively small part that will only appear in a couple episodes. Our series will focus only lightly on Madoka's home life, thus her mom will have few lines. Whenever Madoka's mom does appear on screen, you can pretty much figure she'll be drunk.
Voice: Due to heavy drinking, this character speaks with a perpetual slur.
(Slurred): Do you have my breakfast bottle of vodka?
(Slurred): We had to meet at the bar, it's the only building I can find my way to these days.
This character only appears in one episode before being promptly slaughtered by Sayaka. He's just a random jerk who's talking smack about his girlfriend.
Voice: A common street thug or "gangsta'" voice. He'll be about a stereotypical as possible.
(Cocky): I told her: bitch that's my money your wasting. That shut the dumb slut's trap.
(Sincerely): Wow little girl, your right. It's time for me to change my ways and treat women with more respect and kindness.
*Screams in Agony*
Someone that can fill the extra rolls that appear only once per episode and create background chatter for crowd scenes.
Voice: A normal voice that can do a fair bit a variety.
(Friendly): So what's your favorite color Ms. Akemi?
*Mutter and chatter, just something I can layer to create background noise in crowd scenes.
Someone to create a variety of snarls, whispers, and screams that accompany the presence of a witch.
Voice: Able to create screams of agony and low throaty growls.
*Snarls, hisses, and growls*
*Creepy whispering, chuckling, and muttering*
*Deep, throaty animalistic roar*
Someone to create a variety of hisses, whispers, and screams that accompany the presence of a witch.
Voice: Able to create screams of agony and creepy whispering.
*Snarls, hisses, and growls*
*Creepy whispering, giggling, and muttering*
*Sing your favorite lullaby as creepily as possible*
Voice: A medium ranged female voice. I don't have a set idea of what I want for her voice, so have little fun and try what you feel is right for this character.
(Conversationally): If you're not sure if you like her you should just do what I do with my love interest, visit them constantly for months and never confess your true feelings to them.
(Reproachfully): You have issues Hitomi.
(Angrily) Back off, I'm not afraid to kill any of you!
A relatively small roll that only appears in a few episodes. Like many dads he'll try to give his daughter answers even when he doesn't have any.
Voice: Sounds like the stereotypical suburban dad, a man who tries to sound like he knows more than he actually does.
(Calling out): Madoka, your mom's home.
(Trying to sound Genuine): I think I know what's going on here. Madoka, your body is going through a lot of changes, and it may seem strange, even disgusting, but just know this: it is, it is very disgusting.
Voice: A deep, masculine, and sexy voice is required for this part.
(Passionately): Oh Sayaka, you are the only thing I live for. You are the brilliant star that sheds its light upon my lonely existence, come away with me!
(Woefully): Listen to my manly cries for help! Don't you see? This is my way of showing that I need you to fix me.
Mami is a veteran magic girl that takes Sayaka and Madoka under her wing. She's tough and fearless, but still kind to her friends.
Voice: A female voice that can sound tough or sweet on the turn of a dime.
(Explaining brighlty): This is a soul gem, it's kind of like a lunch box; except instead of holding lunch, it holds my soul, and instead of being a box, it's a gem.
(Coldly): I didn't ask for your opinion, now did I?
(Cocky): I don't think so, and unless you want trouble, I suggest you leave.
Voice: I'm looking for a fairly common female voice for this part, someone with a young sounding and higher pitched voice.
(Surprised and defensive): I don't know! I don't think her eyes are dreamy! I don't think that hair is like the mane of an ebony unicorn!
(Sounding slightly desperate): That's okay, I can do gentle. I can also do rough if that's what you like!
(Timidly): Um, it wasn't like that. I, uh, oh dear.
Voice: Whoever plays Homura must be able to do two distinctly different voices. 1) An depressed emo voice that will be the one she uses for most of the show. 2) For the flashback episode she is timid and shy.
(Emotionless): My favorite color is black, like my soul.
(Sadly): If only you would listen to me Madoka, things would be so much easier.
(Shyly): Uh, my name is Homura Akemi...
Sakura is a veteran magic girl that comes to town after Mami is out of the picture. She's rude, crude, and doesn't play well with others.
Voice: A female voice that can sound cocky and arrogant. I'd say that about 60% of her dialogue consists of insults.
(Mockingly): Aw, is the little baby gonna cry?
(Angrily): Oh, you think you have it bad? You think your life is shit? That's it, backstory time!
(Nonchalant): Yeah, real clever Homura, now what do you want?
