Lupin the Third | Part 1 | Movie(s) Fan Dub
Project Overview
I cancelled Lupin the Third: Part 4 because I found out that it'll be dub in English and released sometime this year. I love Lupin and was very excited to find out all the old actors are reprising their roles except for the actor who did the voice of Zenigata.
I still want to do something Monkey Punch related. I have the episodes for Part 1 of Lupin and the soundtrack for it all. ALSO movies as well. There's a lot of stuff that hasn't been dub yet. I'm not looking to do this long term.

Please have good mic quailty.
Please research on the role.
I'm looking for people who can bring the characters to life.
There have been many different voice actors and actresses.
Full episodes won't be uploaded to youtube, But trailer samples will be.
I'm going to look into putting it on Kissanime and another website.
Arsène Lupin III, the grandson of the fictional gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, is considered the world's greatest thief, known for announcing his intentions to steal valuable objects by sending a calling card to the owners of his desired items. His right-hand man and closest ally is Daisuke Jigen, an expert marksman who can accurately shoot a target in 0.3 seconds. Although Lupin and Jigen frequently work as a two-man team, they are often joined by Goemon Ishikawa XIII, a master swordsman whose sword can cut anything, or Fujiko Mine, a femme fatale and Lupin's love interest. Although Fujiko usually works together with the others, she occasionally exploits Lupin's interest in her to steal the treasure for herself. Lupin and his gang are constantly chased by Inspector Koichi Zenigata of the ICPO, who has made it his life's work to arrest them, pursuing Lupin across the globe.
EPISODE INFORMATION
You can view the first episode HERE and HERE.
English dub samples can be found in Part 2 on Crunchyroll.
Which is the best dub version from the Lupin series.
It is highly recomended that you view at least one episode of Lupin to understand the characters.
All characters tend to appear in mostly every episode. My favorite version to watch is Part 2 of Lupin. Not every episode connects to one another, so you don't ever feel like you're missing out on an older episode.

In the original anime Goemon's relationship to Lupin starts off more professional than close friendship. By the second anime series, Goemon has developed a true loyalty to Lupin. However, he easily gets annoyed by Lupin's antics, especially Lupin's infatuation with women, Fujiko Mine in particular. He will occasionally oppose Lupin directly when Lupin's jobs or actions do not agree with his morals. He has even promised that the last act he will take with Lupin is delivering his deathblow. However, Goemon doesn't hesitate to help Lupin in serious situations, and readily assists him any time Lupin works for a just cause. However, in 1978's The Mystery of Mamo, he claims that he helps Lupin simply so he can keep his vow to kill him himself.
Bad enough that your infantile addiction to this woman has consistently rendered you an unreliable business partner. But even now, as she conspires with others to have us killed, you continue to defend her! It shows that...
A samurai warrior cannot work for a female. You accepted the commission to steal the stone for her only because you like the look of her ass. The wise man has said, "nice asses turn men into asses."
Once again I have cut another worthless obeject. |(Audition Line)| Please laugh.
Young Adult - Middle Age
In Monkey Punch's original manga, Lupin is cocky, quite crude, and for the most part remorseless. He is very much the ladies' man, often using them for his own gains, but is not beyond forcing himself upon women who resist him. This is in stark contrast to his better-known anime self, who despite being a skilled thief, comes off as a goofball and will go to great lengths to right injustice, who also shows a chivalrous streak that compels him to help those less fortunate than he. Furthermore, Lupin often takes it upon himself and his gang to stop criminals engaged in more violent crimes and leave them for Zenigata to arrest. In the anime, while he fancies himself a Cassanova, his actual success with women is erratic, appearing to fluctuate with the writer.
That's right. This is the source of the Goat Money, which was valued above the real thing at one time. Since the upheavals in Medieval Europe, the mysterious counterfeit currency has been there, always squirming in the shadows. It brought about the collapse of the Bourbon Dynasty, and became the source of Napoleon's funds. It also triggered the worldwide panic of 1927. The Goat Money - the Black Hole - the star on the backstage of history. All those who tried to eliminate the heart of the problem were never heard from again.
I still can't figure it, though. This guy's nuts. At least with Pops, it's all, you know, pretty damn... predictable.
(Laugh) | I recommend viewing the English dub and japanese version of Lupin for examples of his laugh. Links are provided in the project discription.
Daisuke Jigen is the trigger man, sharpshooter, aide-de-camp and close friend of Arsène Lupin III. Along with colleague Goemon Ishikawa XIII, he joins Lupin in pursuit of riches acquired typically by theft. Traveling across the globe, Jigen has garnered fame as a gunman with a wildly capable speed and accuracy.
Hey, what the hell's going on? Weren't you supposed to take the transmitter off the real one?
( Jigen: So this is just a steaming pile of... )
Goemon: Very bad karma.
Lupin: Exactly, my friends! We've all fallen into someone's very ingenious trap!
( Jigen: Not you, though! You figured it out for a trap, Lupin, and you waltzed right into it anyway! What the hell's up with that? )
(Laugh)
Inspector Zenigata hails from Japan, city of origin unknown. According to Episode 0: First Contact, his original title was Tokyo Police Inspector whose original interest was the capture of Fujiko Mine and her then partner. His pursuit took him to New York where he met Arsene Lupin III for the first time. He left the Japanese Police Force in favor of enlisting in ICPO (Interpol) for the sake of specifically bringing Lupin to justice. For a brief period between the first and second TV series, Zenigata was demoted to a beat cop in an unknown location of Japan.
Zenigata has made it his life's mission to arrest Lupin. The other members of Lupin's gang are targeted for apprehension as well, but Zenigata usually ignores them when Lupin himself is present. Lupin and Zenigata appear to be the worst of enemies, but in the anime they are, in a manner of speaking, friends; something Lupin shows openly (often by greeting Zenigata with mock affection), but it is an idea Zenigata is extremely reluctant to entertain. Similarly, he is often awed by Lupin's genius. Zenigata has an attachment to Lupin with the belief that no one should kill him or worse, capture him, besides Zenigata himself.
(Zenigata: Ha! Lupin, this is great! Never thought I'd show up, huh? Officer, arrest this man immediately!)
Arsène Lupin III: [disguise] Hey! I'm Zenigata! You're an impostor!
(Zenigata: You liar! I'm the only inspector Zenigata in this room, dammit! I'm telling you that guy there is Lupin the Third!)
Oh, my life is falling apart! But after chasing you for twenty years and not having a single conviction, how can I blame them?... What hurts the most, is that some cocky young hotshot is gonna come in guns blazing and do what I never could!
(Laugh) | Also gonna need you to shout "Lupin!"
While Fujiko is not part of Lupin's gang, she often participates in their exploits either as a partner or a competitor. Her principle tactic is to stick with Lupin and company until the plunder is made available then double-cross her colleagues. Frequently, she finds it necessary to betray Lupin to get close to the enemy, then after ingratiating herself into his trust will acquire the swag and escape (rarely, she will help to extricate Lupin, Goemon and Jigen for the trouble she put them into, as if to atone). Fujiko is also known to provide Zenigata or other law enforcement officers with information and assistance in order to gain her own freedom . At one point, Fujiko was made Zenigata's replacement on the ICPO's Lupin operation, however this was a cover for her to get into a secret vault.
Of this two-faced nature Lupin is surprisingly forgiving. In the 1995 movie Die! Nostradamus, Lupin carefully treats the amnesiatic Fujiko, hoping she gets better as he "looks forward to her betrayals".
[reading the letter] "My darling Lupin, you've been in my dreams every night for five long years. Oh, darling, I can't bear being apart from you any longer, I simply have to see you immediately. Rendezvous with me at the Sirloin liner, and we shall be together forever. Your love, Fujiko." Oh, please! That doesn't sound anything like me!
I'm Fujiko Mine. And I hope we meet again, my adorable samurai friend.
