AirierGames - Love Live! Abridged
Project Overview
Hello, everyone! Popular abridged series reactor AirierGames is putting out a casting call for an upcoming abridged series based on Love Live! (Please keep in mind that I am only the casting director and a script editor; I am not AirierGames nor am I one of the creators!)
The rules are quite simple:
- Please record three takes of each line and try your best to put adequate emotion behind each line.
- Finding a match to each character's original voice is preferable, but not necessary.
- Please have a good mic and a good recording space! No laptop mics, gaming headsets, or echo-prone recording spaces, please!
If you are cast -
Please be ready to meet any deadline the creators choose to set.
Please be professional when the situation calls for it.
And finally, have fun!
Auditions close on July 9. Good luck!

Thank you all so much for trying out for Love Live Abridged! All of the roles posted on this call have been cast. If you didn't get cast, please don't get discouraged! Keep doing what you love!
Honoka Kousaka is the main protagonist of Love Live! and leads her school's idol group. Although she is generally bright and cheerful in the original series, we are looking for someone who can add some "steel" and sarcasm to her voice.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Really? What part of that was out of character for me?"
"I'm not agreeing to that. Absolutely not."
Umi Sonoda is a member of Honoka Kosaka's idol group. In the abridged series, she is a secret yandere with an affection for Honoka. Her voice is generally distracted and distant.
"Didn't she get fired?"
"Because the last time I listened to you and the prinicpal, we got on INTERPOL's watchlist."
*gasp* "No...no more kouhai?"
In the abridged series, Kotori Minami is a mean-spirited foreigner who typically speaks in a monotone voice. She often uses Google to translate her speech into Spanish, which she then relays to her audience with a horribly forced accent to match.
"What better insult is there to a country's native language?"
"Buenos dias, Honoka!"
"Hijo de puta..."
In the abridged series, Rin Hoshizora is a flamboyant lesbian with a cheerful voice. She is, however, quite prone to getting distracted by the presence of other girls.
"Oh my God, there they are. I can almost taste them. What hotties..."
"Oh yes, she looks amazing today..."
"I'm sorry. What did you say?"
In the abridged series, Hanayo Koizumi is addicted to drugs which have taken a toll on her voice over time. As such, her voice should be relatively raspy.
"That's it! I'm not coming along on any more of your excursions!"
"Why are we here, anyway?"
"Oh yeah. That's some good stuff you got there."
In the abridged series, Tsubasa Kira comes across as snobbish and prideful.
"Looks like somebody's having a little trouble."
"Oh, please. As if anyone could ever beat out the top idol group in all of Japan."
"You might as well just pack up and run home to your mommies."
In the abridged series, Erena Todo is prideful yet elegant, preferring to deliver her insults with a dash of flair. Her voice is slightly more mature than that of many of the girls.
"Need some help there, pipsqueak?"
"I can't believe you've done this."
"Time to show you what a real woman can do."
In the abridged series, Maki Nishikino is a free-loading kleptomaniac with a generally dismissive attitude.
"Did it ever occur to you that I didn't want you to find me?"
"Why do you think I'll help you? That jeopardizes my reputation."
"Can you do us all a favor and f*** off already? Go bother somebody who might actually care."
In the abridged series, Eli Ayase is a relatively innocent tsundere who is generally oblivious to others' advances.
"I can't believe this is happening to me!"
"You can't be serious."
"What do you hope to get out of starting an idol group, anyway?"
In the abridged series, Principal Minami is a shady character to whom the ends always justify the means. She has a relatively raspy voice and a cold and calculating demeanor.
"This truly is a dark time."
"Did you forget which country we live in?"
"Good news, everyone! We're poor as s***!"
In the abridged series, these extras are gossipy and relatively childish.
"Can you believe her?"
"Did you hear about what she did to the other idol group?"
"I hear the principal is in on it."
