Looking for comic artists (Paid)
Project Overview
Hello! And Welcome to my project! I'm looking for a couple of fellow artists (1-3) to help me with the creation of a comic I've been wanting to work on for a long time. It's a Sci-Fi Fantasy-based story that takes place in a universe that I've been developing for roughly... 11 years now? Wacky. It's always been a dream of mine, but after one failed attempt to start up the comic on my own, I realized that there were some things that I could do to stabilize production.
1: actually script things. No dur, right? Well, I clearly didnt understand that. I'm currently working on the script right now, and will continue to work on it as I wait for auditions and applications. I want to make sure we have at least a bit of a backlog before we start the visual production.
2: Hire some help with the project. And the reason hiring is important is that, as an artist, I know how much of a pain it can be for people to ask stuff of me for free. So even though it wont be a LOT of money, it will be something more consistent.
(Sidenote: The cover photo for this project is what the cover was going to be original. I made it years ago and felt like it would be a good homage to the original project before I jump into full production. Since then some of the characters have gone through redesigns.)
I WILL RE-ITERATE: the pay amount on each of the roles isn't accurate. I'm going to pay more than a dollar. I'd just like to discuss the pay rates with each of the individuals. I want to make sure that you guys get paid for your work, even if I cant dish out money like some massive studio or smth. I am working full-time on a single income to pay for living as well, but I will do my best.
For context, I make MAYBE $60-$80 a day, and I work 5 days a week, so I don't have a WHOLE lot of spending money. assuming I'm hiring 3 people, and assuming I'm still spending 60%+ on rent, It's not going to be any significant amount of money. The project is the main thing here, the pay is just a side supplementary bonus.
ALSO! IMPORTANT! I am really only comfortable working with legal adults. So 18+. I don't think there will be anything "Adult" in terms of content, but I want to make sure that I'm not going to get into any trouble for hiring you.

I probably wont be needing this as I intend to be doing most of the sketching myself, but hey, if I like your work/artstyle enough, I might consider casting you here. Again, the pay rate there isnt accurate, as I'm going to probably be paying per-episode (Webtoon) or per page (comic book), depending on what we as a group decide to do.

Lineart is probably the thing that I struggle the most with. Not because I'm bad at it, but because it stresses me out for some reason. Maybe boredom perhaps? Not sure. Anyway, It'll burn me out and I'd rather NOT actually. The pay rate isn't accurate, as I'm going to be more "per-product" pay instead of "Per Hour".

I WILL be doing most of this myself. I greatly enjoy colorist work myself, as I find it really pretty relaxing. This role is moreso that I can have somebody to cover me if I need some time to chill for a bit to avoid burnout. For this project, I'm mainly thinking about doing cell/hard shading for the purposes for production speed, but I might consider doing more soft/complex shading if I think we can pull it off.

So, I'm not the most experienced writer. Yeah, I've got some experience, but I have been known to be... how you say... Really cringe at times. So having somebody there to help me keep things grounded, constant, and engaging throughout the story would be GREATLY appreciated.
