Looking For Artists
Project Overview
Hello there, I'm Rizzy Games (or you may address me as Charisma; which is my actual name). Anyways, as you can tell by my persona, you can make the assumption that I am a gamer. This is true and I do have a gaming channel called Rizzy Games, but that's not all my channel is good for. I'm also a voice-actress and a singer. That being said, I had an idea for a project to go up on my YouTube channel once everything all comes together. My first step is finding artists (I'm already in the process of working on the scripts for the first few episodes).
HOW LONG WILL THIS PROJECT BE?
This project is going to become an ongoing series (hopefully), so it's safe to say that there might be more than one season. I'm not sure how long this will run on for, but I'm hoping that whoever is cast (both artists and voice-actors alike) have fun doing it all the while.
WILL I BE GETTING PAID?
No, sadly. I cannot offer any payment. Though mind you, I'm not getting paid and neither are the future voice-actors, so it's in no way unfair. I am doing this project purely for the fun and joy of it.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECT IS THIS?
This project is going to be an audio-drama. If you are unfamiliar with what an "audio-drama" is, it's when a sequence of artwork is shown and voices dub over what is happening in the scene that's drawn (basically it's an animation or an animatic, but without the animation part and it's only the images).
WHAT'S THE PLOT?
It's understandable that you'd like to know what the story is about and what you're getting yourself into before you audition, so I will go ahead and explain. I won't give too many details, as I want to keep most of it a surprise, but I can give you the main concept. The series is called "Stories From Celestial Academy". It's about three teenagers (Amara Summers, Payton O'Leary, and Zane Maverick) who always seem to get themselves into trouble. They live in the magical kingdom of Craelle, a magical-realism (a magic world, but with modern day technology) universe that is full of interesting characters and animals. It's there that they attend the school known as Celestial Academy; a place where children go to learn how to use their elemental powers (fire, earth, wind, ice, and water) and to seek out their full potential.
AUDITION GUIDELINES & WHAT TO KNOW
It would be preferable if you had a deviantART account over everything else, but to audition, all you need to do is show me an example of your artwork and style. Whether that be by sending me a link to your deviantART profile (or a certain drawing you think is your best), showing me a speedpaint you did on your YouTube channel, or any other way you can think of. As I said, it'd be much more preferable if you had a deviantART account, but it's not necessary. However, what is necessary is that you have a Discord. That's how I'm going to stay in touch with you and give you the information you need for your art pieces when the time comes. And if you'd like to join the Discord server I'm making so all of the cast can get to know each other, you're free to join that, too. If you want to only talk to me about the project in private messages, then that's cool, too.
CASTING
While I will need your Discord, don't tell me what it is until after you're cast. I'll message you through CCC and ask for confirmation as well as your Discord user. Casting ends on February 16th, 2020. Good luck and I look forward to working with you if you're cast! :3
