Look Back Fan Dub project
Project Overview
The following project is a planned fan dub of the movie "Look Back" , based on the one-shot manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, author of titles like Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch. The first stage of this project is to dub one of the trailers (if you are reading for the two main leads) and when the movie is released for streaming, to attempt to dub the full movie.

Main Lead #1. Ayumu Fujino is the primary protagonist of this story. A young girl who strives to be a manga artist.
Voice actor must be able to act a similar voice for ages 10-early 20's.
Personality: Externally Ayumu is friendly & gregarious, with a calm, cool, confident but humble personality. Internally however, she is shown to be insecure, petty and prideful, which can cause her to lash out in small petty passive aggressive-ways. She often hides behind a mask of indifference towards things she actually cares about in order to mask her pain, or simply look cool for others. Despite her prideful and selfish tendencies she is at heart, an incredibly diligent and hardworking girl who cares for her friends deeply.

In addition to the 3 custom audio lines, there are 4 more which will be used to complete this trailer dub and to gauge who will act in the full movie.
Extra line 1: "Why did I draw this?"
Extra line 2: "Its because..."
Extra line 3: "I drew this manga that day..."
1-3 are in state of grief, line 4 is said in a calm and cool tone.
Extra line 4: "When our manga gets serialised, I want the artwork to be beautiful."

Main Lead #2
An introverted girl who stayed a shut in for her teenage life. She is a talented artist who is passionate about her craft and eventually meets Fujino in sixth grade.
Personality: Due to her being a shut in, she struggles with most social interaction, with the exception being her former idol Ayumu Fujino (whom she admired her manga skills). Her voice is soft (and may be a little hoarse, due to being a shut in) but bursts when it comes to manga and Fujino.

Some extra lines:
Extra Line 1: "I'll get better at drawing too! Just like you!" (determined tone)
Extra Line 2: "I'm sorry. I, I want to try living on my own, without relying on you." (apologetic)
Extra Line 3: "I had so much fun today." (glad and content, like seeing something for the first time with wonder.)
Extra Line 4: "But now I'm glad I drew." (grateful tone)
Extra Line 5: "I'm glad I came out of my room." (soft and content tone)

Side Character
The Editor is a young man in his mid 20's who takes an interest in Kyomot and Fujino's work. Initially commending their efforts in a manga competition, he offers them the chance to start the serialised manga, Shark Kick.

This could win an honourable mention at the very least.
Side Character
Fujimoto's grade school teacher, a man in his mid-30's to early 40's. He not only passes out the school newspaper to his students, but also forces Fujino to deliver Kyomoto's graduation certificate, which ends up bringing our two protagonists together.

She can't come to school, but wants to try drawing manga.
Side character
Fujino's Older sister. When Fujino is obssessed with trying to improve her manga to the point of social withdrawal, she tries to get Fujino to stop due to both her parents and her own worries.

One of Fujino's classmates in grade 4. He is initially amazed at Fujino's work, but when he sees Kyomoto's manga, he comments how mediocre Fujino's work is in comparison (at least from a visual perspective).

That now occurs to me...compared to Kyomoto's manga, Fujino's is pretty average.

Side character
One of Fujino's classmates. She enquires about Fujino's drawing habits and comments about how obsessed she is, saying that Fujino doesn't spend as much time hanging out with Kae and their classmates.
while most of kae's dialogue is as her grade 6 self, there are some grade 4 lines, so if you can do a voice range from 10-12 years old, that would be good!

This will be for characters who have pretty much only one line. These are as follows:
Fujino's mom: "So good! Fujino when did you learn to get so good at drawing?" (woman in her mid 30's)
Another teacher: "Out of all my students you have the most drawing talent!" (man in late 20's)
Kae's classmates: "C'mon, she's drawing right? Don't disturb her" (14 years old roughly)
Old lady: "With these skills, you could become an artist." (elderly voice)
EMT operator: "Sorry ma'am, we have to go now." (male adult, 30's)

A deluded man who ends up commiting a mass stabbing in an art school where Kyomoto is studying, resulting in the deaths of several students over a claim of plagiarism to his art.
Man in his mid 20's to early 30's. Voice should be crazed and unstable.

Side character.
The male protagonist of Fujino's first manga, first kiss. A good reference is literally any stereotypical straight man in a romance novel. 20's to 30's with a medium-low pitch. The voice can be hammed up like an old romance show.

If anyone is interested in helping with the script side, I would also extend a postiion for someone to help me create and polish a script that matches the flaps of the characters for the entire film.
