Long-Term Narrator: YouTube Mythology Channel

Long-Term Narrator: YouTube Mythology Channel

Project Overview

We’re seeking a skilled narrator for a long-term role on a YouTube channel focused on mythology. The content dives deep into myths, legends, and historical storytelling, so the ability to deliver detailed, engaging narration is essential.

This is long-form content, often covering stories in depth, so strong pacing, clarity, and consistency are key. The narration style should feel immersive and polished, keeping viewers engaged throughout longer videos.

Applicants must be familiar with mythology (Greek, Norse, Egyptian, etc.) and confident in pronouncing names, places, and terminology accurately. This is a critical requirement, as mispronunciations can impact the quality and credibility of the content.

Responsibilities:

  • Record voiceover for long-form mythology videos

  • Deliver clear, engaging, and well-paced narration

  • Maintain consistency across longer scripts

  • Accurately pronounce mythology-related names and terms

Requirements:

  • Strong familiarity with mythology

  • Clear and expressive voice suitable for long-form narration

  • Proven experience with YouTube narration (required)

  • High-quality recording setup (clean audio, minimal noise)

  • Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

Rate: $150 per finished hour. This refers to fully finalized audio, meaning the recordings should be clean, edited, and ready for use. Raw, unedited recordings would not fall under this rate, as the expectation is for polished audio with proper pacing, minimal background noise, and any necessary basic cleanup already completed.

If the videos end up performing well and exceed 100K views, an additional $100 bonus will be added for each qualifying video. This is intended as a performance-based incentive to reward strong-performing content and long-term contribution to the channel’s growth.

This is an ongoing role with consistent work, ideal for someone looking for a long-term collaboration. Scripts will be fully provided, so the role focuses purely on narration and performance rather than writing or research. The goal is to maintain a steady workflow with reliable delivery across multiple long-form videos over time.

Submit an audition by reading the provided sample lines if interested. This helps assess voice quality, delivery, and overall fit for the narration style. All communication will be handled through Discord, so be sure to include your Discord handle in the submission for follow-up and coordination.

  • In the earliest days of Greek mythology, before the rise of gods who would rule from Mount Olympus, there was only Chaos, a vast, formless void from which all existence began. From this emptiness emerged the first primordial beings: Gaia, the Earth, and Uranus, the Sky.
