[Long-Term] Creepypasta Voice Dubs

[Long-Term] Creepypasta Voice Dubs

Project Overview

Are you a Creepypasta voice actor? Do you like to read and/or write funny little comics or skits? If so, then this is the project you've been looking for! My name is Alex, and I'll be the voice of Natalie, or Clockwork.

I've been really into creepypasta for about four years now, and man, has this fandom taken it's ups and downs. And when I say downs, I mean downs. Nowadays I find myself on youtube watching the same videos over and over again. The majority of the videos are comic dubs, dramatic readings, and voice skits. But the thing is, there aren't a lot of places generating content at a steady pace, and most of the most quality channels and content creators have either lost interest in creepypasta, or just suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth. So, I'd like to bring some more variety and content into the community, but I'm going to need your help.

I don't exactly have any requirements for the quality of your VOICE ACTING, though I do ask that you know how to put emotions in your words. This is a project for both amateur and professional voice actors. As long as you're interested, please don't hesitate to audition! As for mic quality, that's a bit more tough. I'm looking for voice actors with at least medium to high quality microphones, but if yours isn't the best, that's fine, too! Just as long as you can get a better one before prodution starts. I won't be choosing based off of mic quality after all, but on how well your voice fits the character. I will be chosing the best-fit voice actors by August 1st at the most, though extentions may be added for certain characters.

As for writers and artists, if you have something you'd like our cast to dub once we start producing dubs, you can e-mail it to me at [redacted]. If you are not an artist or writer, but still have something for us to dub, send it with a source! Please do not send voice auditions to this e-mail address unless you are having difficulty posting an audition on this site, and if that is the case, state that directly in the e-mail, please!

More roles to be added, so stay tuned if you don't see the character you're skilled at!

Good luck, and happy voice acting!

  • OH BOY LOOK WHO IS BACK WITH ONE HELL OF AN OVERDUE EXPLANATION

Woah, hey! I bet you guys didn't expect to hear back from me, right? Bet you thought this project was dead as a doornail, right? Well... You were wrong! Yes, hello. It is me, Alex. And I'm back with a small explanation of exactly why I disappeared off the face of the friggin earth, and then an update on my future plans for the project. First of all, back when I first made the casting call, I was operating off of a laptop I had owned for three years. It was in shoddy condition. And it finally just sort of died on me, which meant 1) I couldn't record auditions and 2) I couldn't further or manage this project. I do believe I told a few people, but only the ones who asked, which was a mistake on my part. I apologize. Now I am back, with a brand spanking new computer, and I am ready to jump right back into this site. First order of business is: notification. I'm going to go through all of my accepted auditions and inquire whether or not the voice actors are still interested in the project/ Some of them auditioned almost a year ago, so I wouldn't blame them for disinterest, but I would be a bit disappointed. We really have some great talent out there! Second order of business: WRAPPING UP THE CAST! I am fairly sure that I know who's going to be accepted for the remaining open roles of the project, so I will accept them and check in to see if they are still interested as well. Once we get the cast wrapped up, and we all find a place of common ground that we can all work and talk together in, we can begin to build the project up. I believe I mentioned a youtube channel a while back? It would be so nice to start getting content to fill that with! Don't you think? Anyways, that's about it. I'm sorry for the long period of absence, but I have returned, and am here to stay!
  • About my recent absence.

Hey there everyone! As the deadline looms closer, You might find that I've been inactive for the past couple of days. In fact, I've been so inactive that I've been meaning to update this for a while now but I just haven't had the time.

I've been missing for a number of reasons, mostly family stuff. I won't go into too much detail, but there's been a death and a lot of stuff went down after that, so I've just been trying to pull myself back together to get something done for once since I left.

I am back, for now, but if I blink out again, you'll have to forgive me.

Anyways, let's not turn this into my own personal sob story, yeah? I'm probably going to get to casting another role or two today, so look forwad to that!

  • Just a little update...

Thanks to all those who have auditioned so far, the turn out has been fantastic. First things first, there are really only a few characters I feel I might not be able to find voices for in time, and those are Masky/Tim and Zalgo. As mentioned, this project is both for amateurs and professionals alike, so if you know anyone who is confident enough to try out for those two roles or any others please feel free to direct them here! I don't bite.

Secondly, as you can see, I've already begun casting roles. Don't be bummed if I don't chose you for a role! it just means you weren't what I was looking for. Don't think that means that you can't still try out for other roles! Have fun with this, people. After all, we're going to be in it for the long run, yeah?

Third and lastly. If I do accept you for a role, and you have a skype available, I will add you to a group chat with all the members, unless you request otherwise. That way we can all: 1. Plan for the future, 2. Dish out voice clips, comics, and scripts quicker, and 3. Just talk and mess around and maybe get to know our fellow voice actors, yeah? We're all a team in this project, as cheesy as I'm making it sound.

    That's all! Toodles!

  • Audition Error

Hey, guys, again, I'd like to thank those who auditioned, and encourage those who are thinking about it to give it a shot! But, I seem to be having a problem with some of the latest auditions. Below the role, is the button that says Show [#] Auditions. However, the number displayed on the button is not the number of auditions presented when I select the button. I'm not sure if this is a technical error, or if it means people are auditioning and I'm not recieving notification that they are coming in, nor am I able to view them. The roles I'm havinf this problem on are: Jeff (says 4, displays 3), Ben (says 3, displays 2), Laughing Jack (says 4, displays 3), Nina (says 3, displays 2), Eyeless Jack (says 3, displays 2), and Slenderman (says 2, displays 1).

I'm so, so sorry if you were the last people to audition for these parts, but I simply cannot view them! Feel free to send them again, if you were, and if you know the origin/solution to this problem, please be sure to tell me! Thank you all so much!

  • Youtube Channel

Hello, and thanks to everybody who has auditioned so far! You're all amazing. This is just a quick update to say that we now have a youtube channel, and you should check there as well as here for updates. For now, it is called "Pasta Dubs", but the name and the current appearance of the channel are subject to change, so if you have any ideas, be sure to send them my way!

    Here's the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxc8A2RWPOLmdEhV_XNCXIg
