Project Overview
Living a Lie is an original audio drama. It is about two friends who meet online, but never in real life. The drama will be told from both Max's and Drew's points of view.
This project will have LGBT+ content, so if you don't like it, please don't audition. There may also be some triggering content later on (i.e. suicidal thoughts, mentions of suicide, etc.) There will also be some swearing, etc. later, so please make sure you are comfortable with this.
You MUST have good mic quality. We will not cast anyone with poor mic quality. Please remove background noise if possible.

Max is one of two leads in the drama. She is a very closed-off person at the beginning of the drama. As it goes on, she becomes more open to trying new things.
For her voice, I'd like it to be a middle-range voice, with some feeling of boredom or apathy. She should also be able to sound warm and caring.
I totally understand the cat and keyboard thing. Except my cat has gotten too big to do that, so even if he just tries to lay on my keyboard, he ends up taking out books, pictures, and anything else in his path. He’s a fat cat.
*ranting, angry* Why in the holy HELL did they make Hulk and Black Widow love interests?? It just looks like some Hollywood jackass went “Hey, I like the movie, but I think the girl should just go with the green guy and make her as sad as possible when they’re together.” It’s STUPID!

Drew is one of two leads in the drama. He is a trans guy. He's a jokester, and I would say he wears his heart on his sleeve, even for his Haters.
I would prefer if a trans guy would play him, but I'm open for anyone of any gender to audition. He should have a more gender-neural voice. He needs to sound caring and a bit cheerful.

Drew's mother is very close-minded about Drew being trans. When she talks to him, she calls him a girl, even after he comes out as a trans guy. She's the type of parent who isn't a bad person, she just doesn't understand why her child feels this way.
Drew's mother should have a very calm voice and sound like she wants to understand, but can't for some personal reason.
