What is Recursion?

Life is Strange: Recursion is a fan-fiction written by CanadianCrow. This project aims to bring its story to life in the form of a fully cast Audio Drama.

Plot Synopsis:

Max Caulfield and Chloe Price may have survived the storm and made it out of Arcadia Bay, but fate doesn't give up that easily. When they're robbed of the future they dreamed of, Max is left with two choices.

She can grieve, heal, and try to move forward...

Or she can risk everything she has left to try and change the world.

What do we need?

Life is Strange: Recursion features a cast of both recurring roles and brand new characters that require a voice. If you're able to do a good character impression or think you sound like one our original characters then we'd love to hear from you!

    Hello all,

    I would like to extend my most sincere apologies regarding the length of time that casting is taking up. Both myself and my team have had a multitude of conflicting schedules - as well as life throwing the strangest of curveballs - and as such: we have not been able to complete casting in as timely a manner as we had expected.

    We hope that this setback has not dulled your interest in the project, as there are many submissions here which we look very forward to working with in future.

    Again, I am deeply sorry that we have not performed to a high-enough standard.

    Hello, everyone!
    It is I, Joe, the project lead of LiS: Recursion.

    Well, here we are... two months gone and with over 260 submissions! For a project which started as a "Why Not?", this has gone much, much bigger than I ever dreamt of - so from the bottom of my heart: Thank You!

    As we move toward the date of The Storm (October 11th), our team at Stonehenge Studios will begin combing through each-and-every one of your submissions. It'll be a long process, so I hope you can forgive waiting for just a little while longer. This fic, the characers within and the story itself mean an awful lot to the fandom - so let's do it justice!

    If you haven't already, please feel free to hop into the project's Discord server. Simply make yourself known to an Admin that you've auditioned on Casting Call Club and we'll make sure you're awarded the aproppriate Discord roles. Of course, we'll keep sending updates on here so those without an account don't miss a thing!

    Our script is currently running through it's first Revision, so we should be more than ready to hit the ground running once casting is announced.

    Again, I want to thank each-and-every one of you for submitting an audition (or multiple). It means the absolute world to me that there's other folks out there who wish to see this come to light.

    Greetings fellow listeners (or, future listeners I suppose),

    Joe here, the project lead and the cretin behind Stonehenge Studios. Just writing an update here to let you all know that there will be some smaller roles posted soon. These roles will range from Lonnie, a... sketchy individual, shall we say - to Jessie Holmes, one of Max and Chloe's companions in Vancouver for Chloe's 20th Birthday.

    Q: If I have already auditioned for one role, can I also audition for another?
    A: Absolutely! If you believe your vocal range to be good enough, or simply want a larger part to play (without a Main Cast role), then feel free to try your hand!

David Madsen is a Veteran of Afghanistan, and now the former Head of Security at Blackwell Academy. 


Madsen comes across as rude and agressive, as well as showing signs of PTSD from his time in the US Army. Old wounds linger, especially with Chloe, but hidden beneath his gruff exterior is a man trying to make amends.


A soldier turned sage. The ultimate wild card in a race against time itself.

Mark Jefferson, photographer and former teacher at Blackwell Academy, is currently the subject of an ongoing investigation into The Dark Room Conspiracy.


The main antagonist of Life is Strange (2015), his is an  American serial killer and kidnapper who abducted and murdered multiple teenage girls in the Arcadia Bay area over an approximate eight-month period in 2013, with Nathan Prescott as his accomplice.

Jefferson’s erratic “protégé,” Nathan struggles with precision in their crimes and ultimately becomes a victim himself.
