Let's Voice Act Final Fantasy IX
Project Overview
Please read this entire project description before auditioning.
Welcome to Let's Voice Act: Final Fantasy IX!
This project is a live dubbing playthrough of Final Fantasy IX. Rather than recording lines separately, we'll gather together and perform scenes live as the game is played. The game will be streamed in a voice channel on my Discord server, allowing the cast to experience the story together and voice their characters in real time.
Sessions will take place every Friday at 10:30 PM CST, starting at the beginning of July.
What to expect:
Live voice acting sessions while the game is streamed.
A friendly and welcoming environment.
Beginners are absolutely welcome.
No camera required.
If your assigned character does not appear during a session, you are not required to attend. However, you're always welcome to join and help voice NPCs or simply hang out with the cast.
Do NOT audition if:
You're a line hunter ("Can I join when my lines come up?" / "Can I leave once my lines are done?")
You're not interested in being part of a community.
You're not genuinely passionate about Final Fantasy IX and the project itself.
Medical conditions, work, school, or other scheduling conflicts make reliable participation impossible.
This project works best when everyone is committed to showing up regularly, supporting one another, and having fun bringing one of gaming's greatest stories to life.

The kind-hearted yet sheltered princess of Alexandria. Curious about the world beyond the castle walls, Garnet is gentle, intelligent, and compassionate, but possesses a quiet inner strength that grows throughout her journey. Voice range can be medium to medium-high, with a balance of regal poise and youthful warmth.

Though often stubborn and overly serious, his devotion to his kingdom and those he cares about is unquestionable. Voice should be strong, authoritative, and capable of both comedic bluster and heartfelt sincerity.

Voice should be commanding and regal, capable of shifting between cold authority, explosive rage, and fleeting moments of maternal emotion.

Voice should be warm, energetic, and charismatic, with strong comedic timing.

Voice should be smooth, refined, and expressive, capable of shifting from charming confidence to explosive arrogance and fury.

Together with Thorn, he serves as both comic relief and a loyal servant of the crown. Voice should be exaggerated, energetic, and playful, with a flair for dramatic delivery.
