A teenage girl, Mauna Lei, unknown to her parents, is connected to the Ninjago universe. Touching her first toy, a black ninja plush, she connects with the Master of Earth, Cole, and brings his subconscious into her universe, before Ninjago exists as a TV show. But there's a catch, only she can see, feel, and hear him. To everyone else, he doesn't exist.
Explaining Mauna's abilities: So if there's a Minifigure(or a plush, etc) and Mauna is touching it, whatever the Minifigure(plush) is from Ninjago, she can connect their subconscious to the Miraculous universe. Only Mauna can see, feel, and hear whoever. If she is no longer touching it, then the connection breaks. Mauna is born in 2000, therefore, Ninjago does not exist in her universe yet. And until that time 1 year in Miraculous is one night in Ninjago. When Ninjago airs, then it slowly changes. 1 day in Miraculous is 1 night in Ninjago(vice versa).

She is nervous around unfamiliar situations and is occasionally self-conscious of her blindness. She generally keeps to herself and doesn't like conflict.

In "Lady Wifi", after Alya gets suspended from school because of Chloé, she is akumatized by Hawk Moth and becomes Lady Wifi, a supervillain whose powers come from her smartphone and its Wi-Fi signal.
