This is a casting call for Season 1 of a fanmade audiodrama series of Legend of Korra called The Blood Bandits. This will take place in the middle of season 1 of the show, but please note that the series does NOT follow the show religiously and will have its own storyline. The story is as follows: Siri and Areida are two young girls who are bounty hunters known as the Blood Bandits. Siri is a skilled Earth bender and Areida is a water/blood bender. They head to Republic City for the Republic City Ball in order to steal Siri’s family heirloom.
As they prepare for the ball, a group called Akagi is making plans to initiate a second war to have the Fire nation in power. They plan to put Zorik, Azula’s grandson in charge. He’s accompanied by Uzeko, a talented chi-blocker, and Nika, a talented water/blood bender.
To participate in this project you will need to have a Discord and an email address where I can contact you. I expect this project to last a few years and I would like voice actors who can commit to a long-term project. Voice actors will have 2- 3 weeks to submit their assigned lines.
I have selected this as a non-paid project because it is a fan project. If anyone donates to the Ko-fi I will pay voice actors in order of importance to the series if funds do not cover payment for everyone. I enjoy working with people who are passionate about the project, not just voice actors looking for their next gig.
Note for the artist: I want someone who is passionate about my storytelling style and interested in being my long-term partner in creating audio dramas and potentially turning them into animations in the future. For this, I need someone trustworthy and knowledgeable about their craft. If this sounds like you I highly encourage you to apply. I am open to this being a one-time partnership for just this project but ideally, the artist is willing to work on other projects.
Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you all!

Hi everyone,
I've added some more roles to be part of the project such as Avatar Aang and Iroh. These are side character additions that are important to the project, I look forward to hearing your auditions!

Hi everyone,
I forgot to explain my process for voice extras. All are welcome to be voice extras. I have the voice extras audition in each episode to be part of the episode. They are given a script with lines and submit those lines and I select the best lines to be included in the episode. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that you will be used for each episode. However, I've found this to be an excellent way to have variety in the episodes.
I want to emphasize that I 100% need voice extras. They help spice up the episode and are an essential role.
Artist
Drawing scenes for the audiodrama. Please submit your portfolio of artwork via a link. I'm looking for someone who is very independent and has their own unique vision for how scenes in the audio drama should look. I also would like someone who can potentially lead a team of animators in future projects. Please see Alemondra for art references.

The avatar. Her voice is mid to low in range. You do not have to have an exact replica of Korra’s voice from the show. (Lead Role)
Maybe she flaked and is standing you up.
Asami, you and Siri, and Areida head outside with as many people as possible. Mako and I will find the chi-blockers.
*fighting sounds*
Voice Actor
One of the famous bending brothers. Mako’s voice should be mid to low in range. He is protective of his brother Bolin and is a fire bender.
Just between you and me, beyond the whole image around being the avatar, she’s just a regular person.
Awesome. Then it’ll be my pleasure to escort you to the Republic City Ball my lady.

Voice Actor
One of the famous bending brothers. Bolin’s voice should be mid to high in range. He is a goofball who loves to have a good time. (Lead Role)
That’s why she has us right? I mean you and Korra make a good team. You both saved me from Amon and took out chi-blockers last night too.
I hate to turn the conversation serious but have you heard anything about your sister?
*fighting sounds*
Voice Actor
Her voice is medium in range. I’m not necessarily looking for an exact replication of her voice from Avatar, but if you want to attempt it give it a go. I’m looking for someone who’s authentically themselves. Asami is the future lover of Korra and is a fierce fighter. (Lead role)
Can I go to one of your guys’ training sessions to meet her? Please!?
As a kid, you’re expected to be on your best behavior. When I turned 18, my father stressed dancing and socializing to find a husband.

Voice Actor
Her voice is mid to high in range. She’s a water and blood bender and is a descendant of Hama.
I caught a glimpse of one of the architects' plans for the city. It’ll be stunning before long.
Considering how essential we are to Akagi, I doubt that’s why. Have either of you considered that maybe we just didn’t have the information about tonight and that perhaps we aren’t as strong as we think.
*fighting sounds*
Voice Actor
Her voice is medium in range. She’s a chi-blocker who is level headed and likes to get things done the right way. (Lead role)
Hold your tongue Nika. If Denok heard you talk like that…
… if we capture Siri then her husband's useless family will be responsible for rescuing her.
*fighting sounds*
Voice Actor
His voice is low in range. It is in Denok’s nature to be dark and calculating. He is the regent of Akagi until Zorik is old enough and mature enough to lead the organization on his own. Denok is a powerful firebender whose family was in exile after the 100-year war.
It’s about time you three arrived.
I expect to be informed on all police activities from here on out directly. This city will be the hardest to occupy. Once the equalists take out Beifong we need a plan of action.
Good. Now then, off to the ball we go. And remember, at the stroke of midnight a SotoMobile will be waiting.
Voice Actor

Not to interrupt your thoughts, but I thought you should know the Republic City Ball will be soon.
Try your best to stay out of trouble tonight Korra
On my part, I would like to know the truth of what happened to you Siri, the day you no longer showed up in society. And how you came to meet your friend, Areida.
Voice Actor
The leader of the Equalists and is a main villain in season 1 of the original series. His voice is open to low ranges.

*fighting sounds*
Voice Actor
Iroh is a spirit in this story who comes to the aid of the sages who are kidnapped.
Welcome sages of the 4 nations
The Avatar is aware of your plight. She will need rescuing actually. Akagi will kidnap her and hold her hostage as well.
Our first task is to find Tenzin or his daughter Jinora. They must be informed of what is transpiring.
Voice Actor
One of Tenzin’s children. Her voice is open to high ranges.
Oh please, it’s a classic enemies-to-lovers romance plot. It obviously has to work.
Can we borrow Korra for a moment?
You never let us listen to when you guys talk after dinner.
Voice Actor
One of Tenzin’s children. Her voice is open to high ranges.
Pretty please! It’ll just be for a moment.

Hannah! (cries) Oh Hannah!
Voice Actor
He's an earth-bending nobleman who was promised Siri as a bride before she ran away. He only appears in 1-2 episodes and is hell-bent on getting Siri back. (side character)
You think the Cha family is stupid girl?
Because legally you are my bride. The judge was easy to bribe into giving me a signed document.
(hiss) If you dare leave my presence again you will be killed.
Voice Actor
An arrogant probender who Siri is a big fan of. Korra and her friends are enemies with him. His voice is low in range.
Well well well, we got two fan girls in here today.
So where are you ladies staying? Perhaps you’d like an escort home?
*fighting noises*
Voice Actor
Wife to Tenzin and mother of the airbending children. She’s sweet and wise. Her voice is open to mid to high ranges.
That’s because it’s adult talk. When you are older you’ll listen in. But for now, it’s time for bed.
The children are resting now.
King Bumi wisely said there are many jings when it comes to fighting. Neutral Jing might be the key to beating Amon.
