Le Clair Obscur is a story about Venus, heir to the Dark Clan throne who is set to marry the strange leader the Red Clan, Arturo. However, all is not as it seems and Venus finds herself in the Light Clan helping a small gang.

A witch who lives with luxury because her parents are the emperors of their empire. She’s snobby, a wild child, and a total bad ass.
Line 1: (Arrogant) Me sweaty? Oh no honey, I don’t sweat, I shine… Unlike you dear, Artemis (insert arrogant laugh)
Line 2: (Sad) I-I broke it… I broke my only memory of her (insert cry) This is all because of you!
Line 3: (Outraged) Is this really what you call honour?! How dare you treat those people like that! You are no different from those bandits…
Medium-High
She is a black cat and sibling to Demetri. She’s bratty and teases Venus and despite being a cat, she is friendly towards Neptune.
Line 1: (serious) I do not like that girl for you Demetri, she literally smells like trouble…
Line 2: Demetri you take care of it, I’m too sleepy to move… Now, now no need to frown, you’ll do fine.
Line 3: I think it’s a good idea, what do you think Neptune… Neptune? Neptune come back!
Medium - Low
She is Venus’s mother and Jupiter’s wife. Her and Jupiter are the current emperors of the Dark Empire. She’s what a mother should be; a perfectionist and bossy, specially to her husband.
Line 1: (Innocently) Jupiter, darling, do not disagree with me, you know what they say, “Happy wife, happy life”
Line 2: Venus, you are soon to be ruler of this empire, in other words start taking responsibilities or you’ll never be ready.
Medium - Low
She is Venus’s 300 years old granny, she may be 300 years of age but she looks like she’s in her 20’s (thanks to her magic). She is an asset to the Black Empire, as she is the seer. This lady is serious but less serious than Minerva, she’s pretty much the cool granny.
Line 1: (serious) I think this is the first time I’ve seen you argue like that with your brother, you children are too old for baby fights… Now apologise to you brother.
Line 2: (Casual) Is this your boyfriend? Have you done the deed? (sigh) You kids keep me young.
Medium - High
Florence is Venus’s personal maid, her “BFF”, but she hates it, she has always dreamed of being a royal but unfortunately she was born in a modest family, so to have a taste of royalty she became Venus’s maid, even though she hates Venus. Florence might hate Venus but inside she cares for her.
Line 1: (Neutral) Your bath is ready my lady, should I bring you your cheesecake?
Line 2: Now, now my lady that isn’t very proper.
High
Artemis is Venus’s cousin. Now, that girl is a straight up b*tch. For her germs equals ugliness (obviously a germaphobe). She hates her cousin, as she wants the power all to herself. She will do anything to have what Venus has. Artemis is obsessed with dolls. She loves dolls so much that she goes so far as to dressing like one.
Line 1: (insert scream of annoyance) I hate Venus! She obviously doesn’t have what it takes to be the next empress! I should be the next heir, I’m more powerful, more responsible, more intelligent, AND more beautiful! This isn’t fair!
Line 2: (insert arrogant laugh) Finally that dumb bimbo is out of our lives! This is it, now I can prove to uncle Jupiter that I should be the next heir!
Medium - High
Arturo is gay AF, he is the perfect example of this thing we call “Stuck in the closet” (I just made that expression up I think XD). He’s the Red Empire’s emperor. He is one ruthless leader that’s for sure. Arturo wants power, and in order to have more power, he is obliged to marry Venus.
Line 1: Karlisle, darling, if he’s that much of a nuisance to this empire, then “Off with his head”!
Line 2: What beautiful white hair you have dear Venus, you do live up to your name, did you know that Venus is for Aphrodite? The goddess of Love and Beauty. Although with that frown of yours, you’ll soon have wrinkles and you’ll look like an old witch.
Line 3: Me? Gay? Now, Venus aren’t you exaggerating? Maybe you’re a lesbian!
Medium
He is Katrina’s brother. Demetri is the precious bb boy, that everybody loves. He is literally an angel, as he was born in the White Empire, the empire of angels. This boy is the most precious being living in this universe. He is shy and only wants what is best for all the empires. He wasn’t a royal or rich, he was an orphan. Since he’s very shy, he didn’t have that many friends, in fact he only had four Katrina (his sister), Marcellus, Ace and Jax, they call themselves the Fallen Angels.
Line 1: Uhm miss are you alright? (pause) She isn’t moving, Marcellus she isn’t moving! We need to help her.
Line 2: I’m s-sorry Venus but I’m not looking for that kind of relationship
Line 3: Everyone says I’m a weakling, a pushover, but they don’t even know me for who I am.
Low
He is Venus’s father and Minerva’s husband. Jupiter rules over the Black Empire with his wife (but mostly his wife). He follows his wife everywhere, listens to her every requests, obviously he is the submissive one in this marriage. He may be the submissive one in this marriage, but he is the authority to his subjects.
Line 1: Minerva, honey, don’t get mad at me for what I’m about to say, because I have nothing to do with it but (pause) Venus disappeared.
Line 2: As your emperor you have to obey me or else.
Medium
He is the joker of the gang, Marcellus’s third in command, Demetri’s teaser, and Ace’s VERY good friend. Jax will be the first person to break an awkward silence with a more awkward joke, as he is the outgoing one, the funny one, and of course the kid of the family. He is an orphan but that didn’t stop him from being happy.
Line 1: Come on Ace! Live a little! You know if you stay serious all the time you’ll never truly taste life.
Line 2: Well, what do we have here? Is our little Demetri becoming a man?
Medium - Low
Ace is the serious one of the gang, Marcellus’s second in command, Demetri’s listener and Jax’s VERY good friend. Ace is the voice of reason, the responsible one, but the debbie downer. Here’s another orphan, but somehow he is more educated than the others from the gang
Line 1: Marcellus, Jax will you stop it? Let Demetri do what he must, I believe in him.
Line 2: If you think this is funny Jax then you are very wrong… Do I look like I’m joking?
Medium - Low
He is a white dog and Venus sibling. Neptune is also the voice of reason, he tells Venus what’s right from wrong, calms her down when she unleashes her wrath, the shoulder to cry on, the good listener, what a good brother should be.
Line 1: Venus this is not how you handle things, what you are doing is wrong… Do you think he’ll like you more if you did that?
Line 2: Cats and dogs don’t mix, I’m sorry Katrina, there are better cats like you who are more worthy of your love.
Line 3: Demetri isn’t the right man for you… He’s not even a man yet!
Medium - Low
He is the leader to the gang. Marcellus is also an orphan unfortunately. That is why he took Demetri, Jax, and Ace under his wing. He was a natural born leader, he was the strongest of the gang, he was the popular one, the one that everyone wanted to hang out with.
Line 1: Look you punk, you say one more bad critic about my friends and you’ll never see the sun shining again.
Line 2: She is so beautiful, from her face to the tips of her hair… Demetri you talk to her very often right? You have to hook me up with her!
