LCaBC Podcast Episode 1
Project Overview
Hi everyone! My name is Kiana, I'm the creator of the podcast Last Call at Bluebell Cafe, and we are looking for the cast for our pilot episode! The podcast is being produced under the Goose Thunder network. It centers on an enigmatic Barista who uses their supernatural powers to meddle in the lives of their human customers. The pilot episode follows the Barista as he attempts to help one of his customers summon the courage to ask out his longtime crush.
Casting will be done by early March, and lines should be submitted by the end of March. Because this is an episodic show, there will be a new cast every episode; if you audition for this and aren't cast, keep an eye out for future calls! Also, I may offer you a role in a future episode; if you accept you will have a later deadline, to be determined based on which episode you're cast in.
We're not looking for super high quality sound, as long as you have a decent mic (not a laptop or phone mic) you should be fine! Please clean up the audio before you submit it, there should be little to no static and the sound should be clear.

Ryan is just a guy trying to study for his super hard psychology final. That plan falls apart when his crush, Kaya, walks into the cafe he's studying at. Poor guy's awkward and oblivious, but in a charming kind of way.

I- I- uh… Actually I just remembered, I have to- uh- meet a friend! Yeah I totally forgot, hahaha.
Yeah. that’d save you like ten bucks for the ticket. And you could watch it from the comfort of your own bed. (he falters) Or, um, you know, your couch, or- or, your car, even! Any place you could sit!

Kaya is planning to study for her important upcoming psychology final. The cafe she chooses to study at just happens to be the same cafe that one of her classmates is studying at, and she attempts to kill two birds with one stone: study, and finally ask out the guy she's had a crush on the whole semester. It might work if he would stop being so dense.
We did that group project a couple weeks ago! (falters) Did you forget?
(disappointed) Oh. Well, have fun! I’ll just get back to studying then. (murmuring) Alone.
Yeah, it always helps me do better when I study with someone else. But I don’t wanna make you stay if you have something else to do.
