Lakeside Sleepaway School is a Minecraft Roleplay about four friends who enroll at a boarding school in California. They enroll together to get away from their old school that was in a bad spot of town and not very good for their mental health. On arrival, they find a beautiful school with loads of things to do. It's right on a lake, there are lots of activities to do, many opportunities for their futures, and many new friends to make. But a few days into the school they realize there is something else going on that isn't so great. I intend for the RP to be very dramatic, but in a more eye catching way. I will be playing one of the four lead roles, so there will only be 3 other "leads" in the cast.
The way this school is laid out, instead of whole dorm buildings, there are smaller "cabin" like structures with a handful of students in them and a leader of the group. Each group will have a color assigned to them. These groups will be very competitive will one another, and will hardly talk to anyone out of their group, as it is looked down upon to do so. The four friends are going to get separated into four different groups and be outcast-ed for talking to one another. This will be a major plot point. :)
The fourth friend is not in the casting call because that is the character that I will be voicing. His name is Jonah Hillbury and he is in the green group. He is a great singer and was always the best in the choir at their old school. The old school didn't have a theatre program, so now he has a whole new opportunity. He is very outgoing and patient, but doesn't mind sticking up for his friends. The whole group looks out for each other.
Requirements:
- Must be 14 or older.
- I encourage you to use an actual microphone instead of your phone microphone or laptop mic, but I don't really care as long as it sounds clear.
- Must have a Java Edition Minecraft account, and a PC powerful enough to run a few mods and the server map that I spent forever building. (it's detailed.)
- Please be responsible, turn in your lines on time, help body act when you can, be respectful to the other cast members, etc.
- You must have discord for communication.
Things to know:
- Having a lead is going to require quite a lot of you. I want at least 15 minute episodes and I want about 20-25 of them in this season. (subject to change)
- In between episodes we might play games or other fun activities to have something to upload in between episodes. Should be good fun!
- The goal is to have everyone who is cast body act. If it doesn't happen, I guess it doesn't, but that's the goal.
- Every video we make will be uploaded to YouTube.

Bryce Gardner is a brilliant artist who came to the school with his friends to get away from his old life. He's a very cautious person. He chooses his words carefully and always has everyone's best interest in mind. He's not shy by any means, and loves to talking to people he knows, but he's a little quiet and usually doesn't start conversations with people he doesn't know. He tries his best to stay positive and keep everyone else positive. Everyone has there own demons, and Bryce keeps all of his problems hidden underneath so keep a very happy front. He cares a lot about the people he's close to, and the only time hes ever mean to someone is if they hurt his inner circle. He's sensitive, but you would never know what you said bothered him.
*clearly offended* "You know I wouldn't say that about you! You're taking years of memories and disregarding them because of a dumb rumor? "
*cheerfully* "It's gonna be okay! We'll all get through it, together!"
*lovingly* "Don't worry about me. I'm just fine! What matters is how you feel."
Lily Totorano is a loud, extroverted, sometimes obnoxious girl. She is very athletic, and very strong. She's got a bit of temper, but only because she really cares about her friends and feels the need to protect them. If someone tries to mess with her friends, she's going to be there and put an end to it, most likely with her fists. She's hostile, yet very friendly. She has a soft side, which only comes out in very specific scenarios. She's in every school sport she had time for. Softball, football, wrestling, soccer, she does it all, and shes the only girl on most of the teams. She's very passionate in everything shes does and is a great person to be around- just don't make her mad.
*bold* "Looks like you struct out. Again. Who's going to win? Let's guess! The girl with 2 home runs or the girl who's struck out twice... I wonder.... *mean laugh*"
*loud and aggressive* *emphasis on YOU and I* "YOU better get out of here before I do something i'm going to regret."
*quiet and small* "I'm. stronger than this. Please... just go. I... don't want you see me like this."
Raegan Johnston is extremely smart and quiet. She only talks to her very close inner-circle of friends, and gets very nervous around people she doesn't know well. She will completely run out of the scenario if someone she doesn't know tries to even shake her hand. She spends most of her time hiding from the public and studying for her school work. She's very practical and when a problem arises, she will take a step back, evaluate the situation, and problem-solve accordingly. She is calm is high stress situations, and is rational when other people are not. The only problem is she is to shy to be a leader, so she quietly tells her friends what to do and they tell everyone else. She's incredibly intelligent and gets everything done correctly the first time.
*disgusted* You're going to a party? Why? What's so fun about being thrown into a room full of people you don't know and doing stupid things you know you're going to regret?"
*quiet and small* "I can help you with the problem, if you want..."
*loud, complaining* "I don't wanna go! I have work here I could do, I have fun things to do in my group building. No need to meet new people. I have all the people I need right here!"
The Principal has a very elegant, kind, and loving front, but has a very sinister underneath. The Principal will be voicing the entire teaser, so the Principal will be cast earlier than everyone else.
(yes that is foreshadowing. if you get cast for this role, you're playing an evil character.)
(There is no picture because the gender of the principal will be decided by who is cast for the role.)
*elegant and comforting* "Hi! Welcome to Lakeside! I'm your principal, and I'm always available if you need me. Whether you need help with school, or just a friend to talk to, i'm here!"
*angry and insane* "Well, no one is going to know about this, because if they do, you might just get hurt. *laugh*
Drake is a member of the Green group, and is becomes friends with Jonas shortly after he gets to the school. He is a very good actor, but can also be very dramatic.
*dramatic* "Why did I get this role? (sobs)"
*proud* "I'm gonna be famous someday. Just you watch!"
Katie is the principal's daughter. She is very charming and very fun to be around. She befriends almost everyone in the camp, but sometimes ends up betraying them in order to give The Principal information or aid. She loves all the people she meets and it pains her deeply to betray them, but she doesn't have any other options. She's very intelligent, and in order to get the best education she can get, she is a member of the whites.
*comforting* "Hi! I'm Katie! I'm so happy we met! You are just so pretty! Aww, this school year is going to be great!"
*quiet and sad* "They're starting to get on to you. But please, don't hurt them... they're really nice!"
Leader of the pink group. She is very strong and people fear her the most. She's very playful if you're her friend, and loves playing sports with the boys. She's better than most of them, too.
*giving a speech to the group* "Welcome to the school, pinks! You have no idea how great it is to be a pink. We are feared in the entire School. They wish they were us."
Lora is the white group leader, and is also the head of the math teachers in the math district of the campus. She is insanely smart, which is the reason she is so highly ranked in the district. She may seem kind of cold and straight to the point when you meet her, but she is a very caring women and loves her students, especially the whites. She treats them like her own children.
Giving a speech to the whites* "Welcome to the school! I hope you're happy to be here, because we have loads to get done! They expect a lot from us whites because we are so intelligent!"
Ryan is not only the blue group leader, but he is also the art teacher of the school. His group consists of the artists in the school, and they think hes great. Hes a great guy.
*Giving a speech to the group* "Hey! Welcome to the school! I can't wait to see all of your creativeness! We're going to be a family!"
Charlie is the leader of the green group, and is a well respected drama teacher at the school. He is very musical, and loves putting on shows.
*giving a speech to the group* "Hello! Welcome to the school! I hope you're just as dramatic as I am, because our shows are would be great! You guys seem like a great group! I can't wait to hear your voices!"
All of the extra characters. Little lines from random students, random teachers, etc.
