About Kiss Him, Not Me
Kae Serinuma is a Fujoshi, a female Manga and Anime geek who loves reading Yaoi material and imagining men together in romantic relationships, both fictional and real. When one of her favorite anime characters is killed off, Kae is so shocked that she locks herself in her room for a whole week. When she eventually comes out, she discovers she has lost a lot of weight. She becomes a beautiful girl that catches the eye of four boys at her school: Yuusuke Igarashi, Nozomu Nanashima, Hayato Shinomiya, and Asuma Mutsumi. Despite learning about Kae's bizarre tendencies, the four boys, along with another fujoshi girl named Shima Nishina, all fall for Kae and begin competing with each other for her affection, much to Kae's frustration as she wants them to fall in love with each other.

Kae was first shown to have small eyes that were covered by her over-sized, circular glasses and dark hair that ended just a few inches below her shoulders which she often put into low pigtails. Her most noticeable feature at that time was her overweight body. Unlike other girls and her best friend, Kae had a rather rounded figure, which was said to be like a 'cushion' by Nanashima, and a similar shaped face.
However, after the death of her favorite character, Kae shut herself in her room for days and refused to come out, not even to eat. Because of this, she lost a lot of weight. Kae gains an eye-catching figure and is shown to have notably large breasts, which seemed to have come from when she was chubbier. She starts wearing her hair down and her blue-green eyes are revealed when she stops wearing her glasses. This results in her becoming extremely beautiful. Surprisingly, Kae seems to have a good fashion sense, often wearing cute and fashionable clothes whenever she is out

*being awoken by her brother and mother* "Alright, you win. My hair's all oily anyway. I guess I'll take a bath."

*Kae moaning and drooling looking at the guys, slurring while drooling,* "Oh yeah. That's good. Look at those delicious men just so perfect!" *slurps of the drool* I could spend the rest of my days watching them just like this."

Mutsumi's personality matches his expression perfectly. He's usually very calm, aside from the few times he's become flustered or angry such as when he held Serinuma's hand, when he teamed up with the other boys against Serinuma's cat-callers or when his older brother began to pursue Serinuma. He is very intelligent and has a methodical mind as seen when he realized Serinuma had been kidnapped.
Because of his quiet nature, some to most of his dialogue is overlooked in conversation and the others will carry on without his views being acknowledged in the heat of the moment. Still, he is usually the first to try to calm a heated moment and if he feels others' attitudes disturb Serinuma he immediately calls them on it and discovers a way to diffuse the tension amicably. When he was truly angered even Igarashi shuddered at his cold words, hard tone and frightening expression.

*Approaches Serinuma.* "What happened to your face?" *Serinuma explains* "I can see that. Are you alright?" *Serinuma responds* "That's good. I'm glad."

*tending to his wound, sees Serinuma walking in, makes a gasp like sound. Serinuma asks what happens.* "On my way to school, I saved a kitten that was stuck in a tree. Dug it's claws in and wouldn't let go. " *Serinuma responds* "I'm glad you're back in school, Serinuma."

He has a competitive personality when it comes to sports and specially when he's trying to win Serinuma over. She has described him as kind and good-humored. But when he gets alone with Nanashima and Kae, he becomes a kind, affective and smiley person. Igarashi had shown to be jealous whenever there is a romantic scene with Kae and one of his rivals. He isn't fond of the idea when Kae is alone with someone else other than him. Due to Nishina's statement of how he only love Kae for her looks which is why he started to develop feelings toward her, Igarashi disagreed with that statement. However, he began to question his feelings toward Kae more especially after Kae became large again after the Valentine's Day arc. His feelings for Kae were put to the test and wondered more about his attraction to her. However, after spending time with her on the roof, Igarashi realized that regardless of Kae's appearance, Kae is still the same kind hearted beautiful person he fell in love with. This causes him to accept her large physique and fall in love with her once again. People think of him as a kind yet tricky guy, having two "sides".

Fun-loving, lackadaisical, and easy to get along with, Nana is well-liked by pretty much his entire class, and considered one of the most popular people in school, especially when paired with his best friend, Igarashi Yuusuke. He has a playful attitude and likes to roughhouse. He also tends to have no tact when speaking, and has been rude on more than one occasion without realizing it. Igarashi is usually the one to scold him when Nana goes too far, and Nana often relies on Igarashi to be the "nice guy" to his "bad boy."

*Collides with Serinuma* "Wake up! You're fine, right?! Snap out of it! *Serinuma gives her 'final' words and passes out. Nana makes some noises* "Don't you die!"

*Igarashi addresses Nana* "What do you want?" *Igarashi explains, Nana grunts* "Uh.... sorry about that." *Serinuma responds.* "Heh, you're like a human cushion so I walked off without a scratch!"

Shinomiya is really a tsundere guy. Upon meeting Kae again after she lost her weight (in response to Shion's death), Shinomiya immediately developed a crush on Kae. He was shocked when Mutsumi-senpai revealed his crush is actually Kae, feeling surprised and disbelieving. Regardless, he maintained his crush on Kae. Due to his desire to gain Kae's affection, he immediately accepted into helping whatever situation Kae is involved in. Like Nanashima and Igarashi, he continued to be constantly surprised by Kae's otaku dedication to anime/manga especially BL romance.

*pulls curtain* "Pardon me, Serinuma. If you're feeling better now, please stop hogging the bed. We have a student that's actually ill." *Serinuma starts leaving* "You seem fine. I hope you aren't faking."

Nishina is a rich and multitalented high school student, who is extremely popular among girls. Moreover, she is a mangaka whose group has been making a well-known manga series; a fujoshi and an otaku, who has a library filled with books, novels and comics; a figurine collector; and a cosplayer who makes her own costumes for cosplaying.

Takurou is rough to his sister like how he calls her "Chubby" or "Fatty", but he doesn't mean it in a bad way, he still loves his sister, because when the other guys visited her, he came in and played the big brother who protect her and warned them about it. Nonetheless, he can be a bit mean to her, such as when he showed Kae's male friends her yaoi collection despite her attempt to hide it from them all.
