Kingdom Hearts: A Voice in the Dark
Project Overview
A Voice in the Dark is a fan-made Kingdom
Hearts audio drama that focuses on the character of Naminé and her origin
story. The project so far has amassed tens of thousands of views and a loyal
following on its host channel Skywardwing.
VitD is a fully dramatised audio book, accompanied by illustrations which appear on screen, so may be enjoyed as either a purely audio or audiovisual experience.
The project is divided into episodes of about 30 minutes long and is updated monthly. We are currently up to Chapter 12, and are about 1/3 of the way through.
URGENT: I need to recast one of the main characters (Lumaria) after
his actor became unable to continue in the role, this is very urgent.
CASTING CALL: The rest are supporting roles and will likely
appear in only a few episodes. They will only have a handful of lines for each
chapter. As this is an audio drama which complements the canon story-line of
Kingdom Hearts, voices close to the originals are preferable for the sake of
the audience's immersion. That said, do not be afraid to make it your own.
TIME MANAGEMENT: Main characters will be required to turn in lines on a monthly basis, while minor characters will have sporadic appearances and fewer lines. Please only audition to a role if you feel able to make the required time commitment.

VitD is in part the story of Lumaria's descent into the character we know as Marluxia, from good to evil. His character is dark and mysterious as in Chain of Memories, but he also has a strong sense of justice and is intelligent, calm and composed. He genuinely cares for Namine at this point and his reasons for betraying the Organisation may not be as selfish as we are lead to believe.

IMPORTANT: This is a recast. The original VA had to drop out because he could no longer keep up with the monthly turnaround of lines. Lumaria is a main character, the second most important character, and has many lines in nearly every chapter. Please only audition if you can commit to submitting lines this frequently. As we will be hearing his voice a lot, decent mic quality is a must.
