Ansem is, thus far, one of only three Heartless with human-level intelligence, the others being Sora's Heartless and Scar. His knowledge of the worlds and hearts shows that Xehanort's keen intellect has survived the transition into a Heartless. However, the few shreds of humanity which remained in the researcher have been obliterated. Ansem is cold, calculating, and utterly ruthless. He treats people and their hearts as either tools to be manipulated and disposed of, or as cattle for his ravenous Heartless legions. He reveres power and knowledge above all things, and he despises ignorance.

The doctor is an extremely irritable, grouchy old man. He has a passion for inventing, though showing no skill at inventing whatsoever, shown by the following things: Sally was obviously not supposed to be a "good for nothing girl," and the heart, the potion, and the experiment all turned out wrong. In addition, he has somewhat of an ego, repeatedly insisting that his designs and inventions are flawless and finding ways to blame his failures on others, such as a shortage of ingredients for the artificial heart or a need of better assistants to construct The Experiment.
"Where is that good for nothing girl!?"
"NOOO, my experiment!!"
"I need you to find Sally and bring me her memory. That is the last ingredient we need to make a heart."
All three of the kids (Lock, Shock and Barrel) are mischievous, rude and rascally children with no respect for their superiors, taking pride by wreaking havoc and chaos whenever they can. Although they take orders from Oogie Boogie, they obey him out of fear, and are generally content to merely perform pranks unless threatened by him. Although Lock is the nominal ringleader, Shock's cunning and bossiness usually put her in charge. When they get in trouble, both of them are happy to throw the hapless Barrel under the bus and blame all their misdeeds on him.

"Let's tell Oogie Boogie!"
The Mayor has two split personalities, happy and sad (which is shown by his "rotating face"). He usually plans Halloween with Jack every year and he looks up to him as the town's hero. He is also quite unreliable and cowardly since he can't stand up to the Heartless by himself and asks Jack to get rid of them, even making an excuse that he is only "an elected official".
"And now, allow me to introduce the master of terror, the king of nightmares... Jack Skellington!"
"We've got to find Jack! There's only 365 days left until next Halloween!"
"Jack, please, I'm only an elected official here, I can't make decisions by myself!"
The White Rabbit is very unorganized and usually seen in distress. As a result, he is often late when it comes to fulfilling his duties and talks to himself aloud as he struggles to get to his destination on time. Although he is quite a nervous and unorganized character, he is very loyal to his Queen. This could easily be out of fear at the thought of making her upset which would cause him to lose his head.
"Her majesty, The Queen of Hearts!"
"Court is now in session!"
"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!!"
Maleficent is a scheming, manipulative, and cunning sorceress who seems utterly determined to take over the dominion of Kingdom Hearts. She is mostly seen in a cool, calculated manner, easily manipulating Riku into helping her aims, whilst she pretends to care about helping him find Kairi. In Kingdom Hearts II, she is determined to avenge her previous defeat at Sora's hand. She doesn't tolerate failure, as shown when she berates Pete for his attempt to take over Kingdom Hearts without her.
"My dear boy, you're like a son to me.""How dare you challenge me!? ME, THE MISTRESS OF ALL EVIL!!!"
"Will it be he who will conquer the darkness or will the darkness swallow him.. Both ways he will be quite useful.."
Ursula is scheming, manipulative, deceitful, and devious. She only cares for herself, and her "poopsies", Flotsam and Jetsam. She is a highly skilled manipulator, twice deceiving Ariel into helping her under false pretenses (she persuaded her that she only wanted to help). Unlike the other villains, she cares about her minions, the "poopsies", treating them as almost like sons or beloved pets. She is very protective of them and becomes enraged and vengeful if they're killed in combat, to the point of a psychotic hate.
"My dear, sweet child, that's what I do! It's what I live for. To help unfortunate merefolk like yourself!"
"YOU FOOLS! I RULE THE SEAS NOW!"
"*evil laugh* The trident is mine at last!! I couldn't have done it without your help, my dear."
Unlike the other residents of Halloween Town, who are innocent, good creatures whose job it is to scare, Oogie Boogie is the only resident of Halloween Town who is truly evil. Oogie Boogie's most dominant emotion of his personality is obviously fear. Whether it's scaring the daylights out of others, or being terrified himself, Oogie is always involved with fear. He also is shown to be considerably more dull than the other villains. Although he does seem to have his smart streak every now and then. Oogie also shows a love to gamble and to play games.
"Ooh. if it isn't Jack Skellington!"
"HEARTLESS!! Only two?! How dare you not obey me!!"
"I'm the Oogie Boogie man!"
The Doorknob is not particularly helpful, caring only about getting sleep. He is lazy, quite obviously, as a short cutscene is always played when approaching him that shows the Doorknob snoring. He does, however, offer some help, as he tells Sora that he is too big, and that he will need to drink the potion. He is also rather acerbic, as shown when Goofy offers a pleasurable "G'mornin" in Kingdom Hearts and he bluntly says, "Goodnight! I need a bit more sleep."

The Queen of Hearts is a foul-tempered monarch who is very quick to judgment at the slightest offense. She is very demanding of her subjects and more so of her soldiers. The Queen of Hearts is emotionally dynamic; she is happy and playful one moment, then rude and annoyed the next. However, she does display an unexpected level of competency, as well as some awareness of otherworldly affairs, when she decided that dealing with the Heartless threat was much more important than continuing Alice's trial after the Final Keyhole was unlocked.

Sebastian is very strict when it comes to following rules, especially when the rules are given by King Triton himself. He is also very loyal, albeit afraid, to his King and will do anything for him, even when asked to stalk Ariel, as he reports to him periodically on the ocean's state and Ariel's behavior. He also cares deeply about Ariel, often reminding her how bad the human world is and will try everything to stop her from getting there. In the original movie, Sebastian followed Ariel to the human world to try to save her. He can also be seen as Ariel's "conscience". He is very passionate about music and is often trying to lift up the undersea creatures' mood by singing or conducting an orchestra. He also has a tendency to let things slip out of his mouth.

While his name might insinuate that he is simple-minded and unintelligent, it is a misnomer as oftentimes Goofy has shown to be the voice of reason for Sora and his companions, and is also amazingly calm and cheerful, retaining his composure when Sora and Donald are completely undone. One example is in the beginning of the Traverse Town section of the original Kingdom Hearts, Goofy states that Pluto might lead to where they need to go, but Donald blows him off when in reality, if they had followed Pluto, they would've found Sora much earlier than they did. He has also proved on occasion to have more common sense than Sora and Donald; in the Land of Dragons, when Sora and Donald mistake Mushu's shadow for a Heartless and try to attack him, Goofy tries to stop them. Goofy also tends to notice things that Sora and Donald do not, such as when they met Mulan and he was the only one of the trio to first notice she was a girl.

When Sora first meets Leon, his personality is that of a withdrawn and quiet loner. Eventually, he opens up to become a more caring person, as seen as when he is worrying about Sora, Donald, and Goofy's safety in the aftermath of the Battle of the 1000 Heartless. Although appearing as sullen and brooding in Kingdom Hearts, after returning home to Hollow Bastion in Kingdom Hearts II, he seems to be more cheerful, is seen to be smiling more often, and also has a friendly rivalry with Cloud. Leon has also good leadership qualities which he displays throughout both games, as he leads the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee and is the only Final Fantasy character in the group to have originated in Final Fantasy VIII.
They'll come at you out of nowhere.
And they'll keep on coming at you, as long as you continue to wield the Keyblade.

Kairi is caring, kindhearted, and not afraid to speak her mind. However, she is determined and courageous when someone she cares about is in danger, often risking her own safety to help that person.

Sally is an extremely kind and thoughtful person. She is also very intuitive and smart, always looking ahead and solving problems. She is restless, though. She has never liked being held back by Dr. Finkelstein and often tries to escape. According to Dr. Finklestein, she has always been a worrywart, which is proven by how she often has a bad feeling or worries about nearly all of Jack's choices. Also, she is compared to Kairi by Goofy because they have similar personalities.

Alice is a daydreamer first and foremost with a large imagination. However, Alice's quick temper and eagerness to show off her knowledge often proved to be bad qualities in Wonderland, and landed her in many precarious situations. However, she is a kind-hearted, polite, and honest young lady. Notably, Alice possesses a intense curiosity about things and an adventurous spirit.

Yuffie is hyperactive, but tires out easily due to her high energy and quick movement. She is hard-working and determined, set on repairing her home of Radiant Garden and aiding Sora in his campaign against the Heartless and other foes. She is usually friendly, cheerful and mischievous.
The Keyblade chooses its master. And it chose you.

Aerith is upbeat and joyful, and several times in Final Fantasy VII attempts to cheer up her fellow party members. Aerith possesses a carefree and naive nature. She has a gentle, high voice.
He was studying the Heartless. He recorded all of his findings in a very detailed report.
Once the worlds are restored, they’ll be separate again.
No matter where we are, our hearts will bring us together again.
