Katanagucci - An Abridged Series
Project Overview
Hey y'all, I'm Aquaerano! I voice act and make videos! On today's menu is a Katanagatari abridged series.
Katanagatari is a 12-episode anime that takes place in ancient Japan. Togame, a strategian from the government seeks the aid of Yasuri Shichika, a world renowned fighter, in order to collect 12 Deviant Swords across Japan. This abridged series will contain large amounts of joking and banter, injecting plot details in between swear words and loud noises. A new antagonist is encountered every episode, so this casting call will be updated as those roles become relevant.
I am looking for high quality microphones (free of popping and background noise, you know the drill), but high-quality acting is equally important. I will be happy to clarify if you are unsure of the voice you are using, or how to read a line.

A very diverse voice is needed for this role. While you will have few lines (a narrative at the beginning of the episode and a narrative at the end), some bits are serious and others... not so much. Please read the first line in the tone and voice of an old, wise woman. For the second line, kick it up a notch or 8, drop the old woman facade and get excited.
Note that this role is filled for Episode 1. If cast, you will not be asked to work on this role until Episode 2.
This is the story of a journey made centuries ago, spanning many regions of ancient Japan, their diversity matched only by the strength of the men and women who shaped this land. However, before we continue, it must be made evident...
That SHIT. WAS. FUCKED. After an intense rebellion against the Shogunate, THIS dumb asshole is the only guy keeping alive the ancient technique of being fucking invincible. Check it.
Togame is a cocky and manipulative strategian who works for the shogunate. She is weak and no good with a sword, but what she lacks in physical strengths she makes up for in brilliance. She has a way with words and is known for creating brilliant strategies. She mistakenly uses "Cheerio!" as a catchphrase. In this series, she'll be a bit more of a basket case. Go for a high-pitched voice and proper tone for this gal.
