"Let our dreams collide!"
Kaleide (from kaleidoscope; pronounced 'Collide') is an upcoming English Love Live cover group who will be covering songs from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club (Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai). All nine of the main idols (Ayumu, Kasumi, Shizuku, Karin, Ai, Kanata, Setsuna, Emma, and Rina) are open for auditions, however, I will taking one of these positions when it comes time to make casting decisions. Future members, such as Shioriko, will be cast at a later date once Kaleide has been established.
For this audition I have written English lyrics for the song TOKIMEKI Runners - please follow the timing guide (which can be found here) and sing the lyrics that are written in the role sections below. TOKIMEKI Runners will not necessarily be Kaleide's first cover, and is just an example for this audition to be used as a blend test. As such, it is important that you match the timing and tuning of the provided guide as closely as you can and submit your lines completely raw. Optionally, you can include within your audition a small sample (30-45 seconds) of yourself singing one of the solo songs of the character you are auditioning for. This sample may be in English or Japanese, raw or mixed, and would only be used to hear your voice in the context of the character you are auditioning for.
In terms of staff, while there is a chance that I will take on some of the staff roles myself, I have opened auditions for timers, mixers, sprite editors/artists, and animators, which can be found below the vocalist auditions. Please follow the guidelines listed on the respective roles for these positions.
Guidelines (for vocalists):
- As stated previously, please try to match the timing and tuning of the provided guide as closely as you can. Please also do not sing harmonies or adlibs within your audition. This said, please only audition if you are comfortable with singing harmonies and adlibs in general.
- USB/XLR mics only please! Auditions submitted using phone or other mics will not be considered on this occasion.
- You may audition for as many roles as you would like.
- Please submit your audition completely raw (with no effects) and acapella (with no instrumental).
- Auditions from vocalists of any gender and voice type are welcome, however, auditions that more closely resemble the original characters' voices are more likely to be successful.
- As this is going to be a long-term group, please only audition if you will be able to commit to at least 1-2 group covers and 1 solo cover per year (in terms of upload frequency).
- As group communications will be through Discord, please be willing to create, or already have, a Discord account (no need to include this in your audition).
