Project Overview
Enough time has passed.
Kagurabachi deserves a fan-dub before its release and this is just the project to join if you feel the same way. This Dub will mostly cover of the events of the manga as well as extra bonus content from the author. Also really wanting to do some other fan Kagurabachi comics or silly videos. A young swordsman consumed by vengeance after the murder of his legendary swordsmith father. Quiet, disciplined, and intensely focused, he rarely wastes words, letting his actions speak for him. Beneath his calm, stoic exterior burns a constant anger and grief, but he tempers that rage with a strong sense of justice inherited from his father. As he hunts down those responsible, Chihiro struggles to balance his desire for revenge with his determination to protect innocent lives.
Default tone: Low, controlled, and reserved.
Emotional undercurrent: Grief and simmering anger held tightly beneath the surface.
In battle: Calm and deliberate rather than loud or reckless; intensity comes from conviction, not volume.

Growing up in his father's workshop, he's earnest, hardworking, and endlessly fascinated by the craft of forging blades. He asks plenty of questions, admires his father deeply, and approaches the world with warmth and optimism. Though still immature and occasionally stubborn, his strong moral compass hint at the disciplined swordsman he will eventually become.
Tone: Genuine and energetic without being hyperactive.

A former elite sorcerer and a longtime friend of Kunishige Rokuhira. After Kunishige's death, he takes on the role of Chihiro's guardian and mentor, guiding him through the dangerous world of sorcery. Shiba is laid-back, witty, and fond of teasing those around him, often using humor to lighten tense situations. Beneath that carefree demeanor, however, is a seasoned veteran with sharp instincts, unwavering loyalty, and a fierce determination to protect the people he cares about.
Tone: Casual, confident, and conversational, with a relaxed charm.

A legendary swordsmith whose enchanted blades once helped bring an end to a devastating war. Despite his fame, he is warm, humble, and surprisingly goofy in everyday life, preferring the quiet comfort of his workshop and the company of his son over recognition. As a father, he is patient, encouraging, and deeply devoted, teaching Chihiro not only the art of swordsmithing but also the responsibility that comes with creating weapons. His belief that swords exist to protect people becomes the moral foundation that shapes Chihiro's life.
Tone: Warm, approachable, and relaxed, with an easy, genuine smile in his voice.

The leader of the Korogumi Yakuza organization, which maintained control over an area outside Tokyo through violence and intimidation, and who were supported by the Hishaku.

A member of the secretive criminal organization responsible for the theft of the Enchanted Blades and the murder of Kunishige Rokuhira. Calm, calculating, and utterly ruthless, he carries out violence with chilling composure rather than open fury

Video Editor
We're looking for video editors who know how to edit motion comics! You'll need to know how to mess around with the panels directly, such as isolating specific panels, adding black borders to panels, whitening out words, etc. I want the videos we put out to stand out visually, and I want the visual flair added to be just as much of a reason people want to tune in, on top of the amazing voice cast. Things like a bright light flashing if a laser is shot, the screen shaking when there's a heavy impact, engaging transitions between panels, etc. If you've got examples of work when you've edited things similar to what I just mentioned, you'll definitely be considered. Several people will be chosen for this role to make the visual editing process as efficient as possible. Since the IDW comics can be very dynamic and chaotic with its paneling, especially during action scenes, we're looking for people who know what they're doing when it comes to comic editing specifically. Each editor will typically get one issue per batch, and around 2-3 months to work on said issue. If an editor is given two issues the payment will be doubled to reflect that. Extensions are allowed as long as it's communicated to me first that said extension is needed before the deadline.
