Juno vs the Web
Project Overview
A world distant from Earth with super abilities. Sounds cool right? But, did you ever think what a world would look like if everyone had a power?
A world called Juno, where everyone has a unique ability that runs smoothly through evil means. The ruler of this nation keeps people in check. There is no “true love” here, people are put together by ability to make stronger kin for the empire. Citizens' abilities are used to strengthen Juno. Anyone who uses them against it will be executed, as well as anyone whose abilities are not required.
A group of outcasts, after hiding from execution in Juno, find a way to come to Earth. Meanwhile on Earth, 19 year old Nick and his friend Kofi discover they have abilities.
Both Nick and Kofi run into the group of outcasts and learn that although each has contrasting stories, they aren’t so different. Can they team up and fight back against the empire of Juno for the freedom of uniqueness? Then again, is a world where everyone is free with power really better than a controlled one?
Remember that for a narrative-style podcast story, there are no visuals. so be sure to be as recognizable and unique as you can for your character!

MAIN CHARACTER
(He/Him/His)
Nick is ultimately the villain of this story– however this story is told from the beginning, where he is fighting alongside the Web. Nick has a soft spot for Kofi, despite Kofi being his supposed enemy. Nick is hesitant to join the Web, but is powerful once he accepts his fate with them. He builds the team up and makes them stronger than before. He learns from them and fight on their side. Eventually he becomes their leader and is courageous and determined to bring them to victory against Juno.
INTERESTS- Billiards, chess, photography
ABILITY- TELEKINESIS
VOICE- This part is tricky, considering Nick has three parts. In the beginning he is smart, courageous, friendly, and slightly nerdy. Near the end he is deranged, unbalanced, and maniacal. And finally, after years in jail in the future, older Nick (who narrates the story) is calm, reserved, and apathetic.

(Older Nick, Narration) But part of you must know deep down that this isn’t going to work out. The part of you that knows that there is no way this will have a happy ending, and you’re right, it doesn’t. I was foolish to think me and seven freaks could change a whole world, yet you? Why do you persist? Why do you continue?

Kofi is Nick’s best friend. He is sly and evil as he haunts the story, however in the beginning and at times throughout the series, Kofi has a soft spot for Nick. Very playful in the beginning.

VOICE- Funny and playful in beginning, stoic and sly later.

(Surprised, Annoyed) Woah! Woah! Woah! You don’t KNOW?? What? You just took us through the middle of NOWHERE just to “not know” where we were headed?
(Running, sarcastic) God, Nick, never a dull moment with ya. I fell off a roof, stole, burned my house down, held fire, oh and I can’t forget spending hours on foot just to end up at this shit hole!

Milo is courageous, especially shown through the use of his power, however he struggles to trust people and closes others off. He doesn’t trust Nick in the beginning and is harsh to him, however he warms up to him eventually.

(Ending argument) Yeah well… maybe you're willing to take that chance, but I'm not. I'm not gonna be in danger again when this time… this time I have a say.
(Offended) What’s that supposed to mean?

Jagger is badass and courageous. He cares about his friends in the Web and would jump into a line of fire without a doubt to protect them. He is very intelligent and makes wise decisions for the group. He is extremely powerful, yet humble. Before Nick, he was the leader of the Web. He doesn’t mind being shut out of Juno for being hybrid as much as Rocky, and claims that being hybrid is what makes him “badass” and that he wouldn’t have wanted Juno’s support anyway.

(Serious) Smoke has witnessed the worst of Juno. Don’t take advice from her.

Smoke is joyful and a wild-ride friend. She is willing to do whatever as long as she gets to have a good time. Accepts Nick immediately into their group. She’s a yolo, live on the edge kind of badass, however feels deeply about her power being a failure to Juno. Therefore, enjoys her carefree lifestyle of no attachment. However, she learns that a life with friends is possibly better, and that sometimes attaching yourself to others, although hard, is a far better way to live.

ABILITY- SMOKE
VOICE- Deeper voice, eager, energetic, raspy, always this way-even in serious conversations she doesn't sound serious.

Heather is ready to fight for her team, with her sister on her side. She is social and extroverted, ready to take on anybody. Brave, courageous, and loyal to her team till the end.

See, Juno believed that just because our power was shared, meant it was divided. But that’s not true! In fact, together our ability is doubled! So we’re stronger than any other transport group in Juno!

Jess is ready to fight for what is right, yet is scared when it comes down to hurting others. She hopes that everyone (even enemies) can see the good in each other. However faint-hearted, she is not a coward–she is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her sister and friends. She worries about Heather being friends with Smoke. Jess disagrees with Smoke’s "unattached" lifestyle and believes that attachment is what makes people stronger. Jess is protective, yet not overly. She's a big fan of “agree to disagree”.

We actually don’t know. Blue’s not big on talking about the past. Or sharing anything really.
Mhm. He can create portals to other places and planets, and create forcefields for defense or camouflage. He’s even rumoured to be able to see different realities and futures. He’s the strongest person I've ever met leaving Juno.

Blue doesn’t talk much at all, stays silent and keeps to themselves. Is a part of the Web simply because “there is power in numbers” but they claim not to care about any of the members. They are reserved for most of the story, yet they care in mysterious ways. Only really talks to Heather. Blue is reserved and unsociable because of a lack of trust. Like Milo, they do not trust people after what happened to them in Juno. Blue stayed in Juno as a child and was told that a missing limb would not be a problem, just to be shut out as futile. Now they are the ones shutting others out.

Rocky is very dumb. He is confident in answers and ideas that make no sense. He is aware that he is not the smartest, but claims that his other heightened senses make up for it. Lovable and is the glue that sticks the team together. Is highly self-conscious about his intelligence, and, however appearing unbothered, Rocky is highly insecure about being a hybrid. He latches onto Jagger for support, knowing he understands.

JUNO IS THE MAIN ANTAGONIST
Juno is psychotic, but is heavily convinced her actions are justified and that nothing she has done is wrong in any way. Her mind manipulation is how she created the empire of Juno and drove the original inhabitants of the world out. Her weak point is she can now only control one person at a time, and even that takes a lot out of her. Although not letting it show, the overuse of her power to create her nation damaged her, and she is now slowly losing her ability. Nobody in the Web or in Juno knows what Juno’s ability is, nor that she is losing it.

Hooded man is powerful, and helps the Web. He is more of a rumor in the early chapters, but he will appear later.

(Warning, calm) No experience, nor seniority will prove to be the strongest factors. There are many ways this will play out, and I cannot guarantee you will make it alive

Cyrus is hooded man, however we do not find out until later on in the story. Cyrus is eccentric, yet serious and attempts to help Nick in the final chapter of season one. Cyrus had exhausted his ability, therefore is not able to use it much. His ability is also greatly limited by mental strain.
