Dead Mans Questions is a short story/one-shot manga, written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki
The story follows the day to day life of a mysterious vagabond spirit, trying to find happiness in his life by performing assassination requests

The vagabond spirit is the now deceased Yoshikage Kira, the main villain of JoJo Part 4, with no memory of his past life after being taken away by Moriohs alleyway

Yoshikage Kira was the main antagonist of Diamond Is Unbreakable. After being dragged away in Reimi's alleyway, this story portrays him after his death. He is now a ghost. A wandering ghostly assassin with no memory of his past other than what his name is. He has a calm, focused demeanor but gets stressed and panics easily under stress or the possibility of failure.He is also shown to be prone to getting over excited about finding stuff he can read or take to ease his own boredom, such as a large collection of books or silverware. His only goal now is attempting to find happiness in his afterlife, wanting desperately to find a place to live and enjoy a quiet life, much like his past living self, while killing people as a ghostly assassin for a monk.
[You're getting slightly panicked as the time limit on your current job approaches, unable to find a way to call who you're after]
"...I've finally found the location and cell number...If I could just speak to him my job would be over. What to do..."
[You've just noticed a dog, despite having checked that dogs weren't allowed in the building, something that can see ghosts and have no time to react]
"They actually had one..."
[It runs right at you]
"IT SEES ME!!!
"UWWWWOOOOAAAAAAA!!" [Pretty much just yell in fear or panic go wild I wanna hear your best yelling]
[You're lost in thought as you contemplate your past life and lack of memories, only feeling that you were a bad person]
"My name is Kira Yoshikage, I can't remember when or how I died. But one thing I can say is I feel certain that I will not go to heaven."
This unnamed woman is portrayed to be impatient and easily panicked. She appears for the first half of Chapter 1.
[A man has showed up at your door about a package despite you having not ordered anything]
"You said Mitsumaru Department Store? That's strange...I don't remember buying anything there."
[You finally caved and opened the letterbox to look outside but seen absolutely no-one there, as if the man had vanished]
"What was that? So creepy! Plastic model? I'm glad I didn't open the door! The way he spoke was gross..."
[You frantically call for your partner as your dog is going wild about something in the closet, a knife laying on the floor that hadn't been there before]
"Dear! Dear! Inside the closet! S-some..something's there!!"
This character shows up at the very end as Kiras target and is clearly portrayed as mentally insane. He is a child murderer has evaded police with his several disguises and has gained both a huge ego and an even more crazed mental state.
[You're laughing insanely, a deranged man thinking of his crimes and how he's gotten away with them]
"PFFFFFF! PFFFAHAHA! UKKKHAHAHAHKKKHKK! Paha..ha..haHAHAHAUHK! HEE-HEEHKK!"
[You're rambling manically to yourself in both nervosity and amusement]
"It's imaginary. Uhhkkhh...it's always imaginary..yesterday is imaginary.."
[You're at a peak of madness, going on and on about how nobody can ever catch you, thinking you're invincible]
"PFFFFFF! Ahaha...hAHAHAHAHA! PIGEONS OR POLICE OR WHATEVER! TRY TO GET ME IF YOU CAN!!"
The monk that Kira works under for his ghostly assassination's. She provides exposition on the last arc in Dead Mans Questions and appears to be the only person Kira has regular contact with. She is a serious yet mysterious character. Her motives aren't explained in detail other than wanting to put a stop to several deaths in a mansion.
[Serious and inquisitive, as she is about to explain an important story point]
"do you know what a ghost mansion is?"
[she is curiously asking Kira for his motives behind staying in the mortal realm]
"I've always wanted to ask you something..why do you remain here...instead of moving on to the spirit world?"
[she is explaining why she needs Kira to do her next job with an air of urgency yet casual tones, as if this is a normal day for her]
"I want you to find a reason why and put a stop to it."
A whiny, young child who is yelling to his mother about wanting ice cream.
[Whining about wanting ice-cream to his mother]
"MAMAAA! BUY ME ICE CREEAAM! I WANT ICE CREAM!"
[The childs hand is being gripped by the unseen Kira and beginning to force him to take off his show and cram it in his own mouth]
"Ma..? Mam-aaa...Ma!? MAMMAAA!! UGGHH!"
The mother of the whiny child. Is very calm when dealing with her child and with the conductor until the end of the scene.
[Mother is calmly replying to her whiny child about his requests for ice cream]
"Aren't you still eating your sweets dear? You'll make yourself sick."
[Mother is witnessing her child shove his shoe in his mouth]
"Y-Yoshiki!? What are you doing!?"
