Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Fandub Volume 1
Project Overview
I'm beginning a fandub of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run on my Youtube channel where I currently have a fandub of Homestuck. If the series does reach a point where it makes money, I will be able to pay for services. There is no real deadline, just included it because I had to.
The creation of this series is mainly done through discord, so if you don't have an account, make sure to make one, then either list it alongside your audition, or private message me it.
If you audition, please use a decent quality microphone.

Voice Actor
Johnny Joestar is the protagonist of Steel Ball Run.
Johnny is a young man of slim to medium build. He has light eyes, and light, shoulder-length hair curling upwards at its ends.
Johnny Joestar is a depressive ex-jockey, who clings to his hope of regaining the use of his legs throughout Steel Ball Run. Disregarding the risks or the consequences, Johnny focuses on his goal and puts it above anything else. Several times, Johnny endured severe wounds to reach his goals; despite his repeated failures, his determination didn't waver. Inversely, Johnny has no qualm about being violent or killing his opponents reach his goal. Gyro Zeppeli has mentioned that Johnny had, "dark determination" in his eyes, indicating a ruthlessness that would make Johnny kill in cold blood.
Johnny's voice should reflect his hope and stubborn determination, while acknowledging his inner sadness. Reversing Gyro, Johnny should be reserved, and often shocked or surprised.

This story is the tale of me starting to walk. Not in the physical sense... but in an adolescence to adulthood sort of way...
(Proud and excited) You ran well. Old horse, you've gained a lot of experience from this race. Riding on the rough ground, going across that forest, and rushing downhill with no errors. And despite how much you've been sweating, you can still keep on going...! Your legs are in perfect shape! Your breathing is also in good spirits! We're only at 40-50 horse lengths away! But he dashed ahead too early! He'll be tired! Let's surprise this Gyro Zeppeli!
(Sad and crying) It wasn’t supposed to be my brother, it should have been me who was taken. I should have been the one to die… That’s why I had to pay the price. Someday, Fate would catch up with me.

Gyro is a main character and ally to Johnny.
Gyro is a man of average to above-average height and medium to athletic build. He has hair that reaches mid-back, light eyes, square patches of facial hair lining his jaw, and often painted lips. He either wears grills or prosthetic teeth reading "GO! GO! ZEPPELI".
Gyro initially appears as an aggressive contestant in the Steel Ball Run race. Unlike other competitors, Gyro looks to seize the first place above all else, rushing ahead of everyone then fending off anyone who challenges him. He also has a tendency to take dangerous shortcuts. Gyro is a rude man, deriding the vast majority of those he meets with insults and mocking commentaries. Even with his closest friend Johnny, Gyro doesn't mince his words and sometimes argues with him. Moreover, Johnny only made a lasting impression on Gyro through his dogged stubbornness and otherwise looked down on him during their first meeting. Gyro's overconfidence extends to his fights, during which Gyro is prone to mock his enemies in some way or say something brash.
Gyro's voice should reflect his cocky, brash, and flamboyant nature, with a breathy confidence even in hardships. Do not be scared to be goofy and yell.

(Warning and Confident) Do you know the leading causes of death? The first is a sickness carried by mosquitos. The second is getting kicked by a horse and dying. Do you plan on changing the ranking?
(Serious and Just) That boy... I will take the place of my father who has put his pride in the family line. This job is my duty... and that will never change... It hasn't in the past and it won't change from here on. But I just want consent! I want to make this duty the pride of my heart! Guilty or innocent! There needs to be consent! Pride and honor cannot exist without consent! I will put my life on the line for pride and honor. Isn't there a way? Not all laws are justice! I cannot agree with putting that boy to death!
(Goofy and Sing-songy, followed by a laugh) Pizza mozarella, pizza mozarella, rella rella rella rella rella rella rella rella Nyo ho ho!

Lucy Steel is a primary ally.
Lucy is a fourteen-year-old girl of average height and build.
Lucy is an intelligent, gentle and courageous girl despite facing many dangerous situations.
Lucy isn't shown interacting much with other people besides her husband, Steven Steel, usually being rather withdrawn compared to Steven's bombastic public persona. However, she is the only one who knows about his moments of doubt and sadness and during them encourages her husband. When interacting with other people, Lucy usually acts polite and rather meek. Although she is prone to nervousness, Lucy is also an extremely resourceful girl, being adept at tricking people or performing other tricks to escape notice. She knows lip-reading and is a competent actor, which in conjunction with her status as the main promoter's wife, allows her to access several usually secure places. Even on the brink of capture or worse, Lucy can think of ways to escape using all available tools and allies. Despite her gentle nature, Lucy also doesn't hesitate to attack her enemies, showing a hidden ruthless side to her.
Lucy's voice should reflect her shy and meek side, with a fierce resolve when needed.

(Confused, but sure) I was covered in light... and it talked... The light talked... He said that I would bear it... Not by you... Not by the president... It told me that this was inevitable...
(Relieved and happy) For happiness... It was for happiness that I crossed this continent... and came here.

Pocoloco is a secondary character.
Pocoloco joins race inspired by the news given to him by a fortune-teller of his peaking luck. Through sheer luck, he becomes one of the fiercest competitors of the race.
Pocoloco is a black man of average to above-average height and slim or medium build.
Pocoloco is cheerful and carefree. He is introduced in repose, counting clouds, before expressing his elation at the recent news of his peaking fortune, as told by a fortune teller. His elderly co-worker perceives him as idle and naive.
Pocoloco develops incredible faith in his luck, realizing it where acts that would have otherwise been unfortunate end up saving him and lending him improbable advantages during the race. Thus, he often makes expressions of amazement and joy, including variations of the exclamation "UH OH!".
Pocoloco is very clearly inspired by Outkast's Andre 3000, especially the song Hey Ya!

Sandman is a native american secondary antagonist.
Sandman comes from a Native American tribe in the Arizona desert. Despite being ostracized, he hopes that winning the race will earn him the money to buy back his ancestor's land and becomes one of the fiercest competitors in the race thanks to his running technique.
Sandman is a Native American with a singular and cynical outlook on the world but who is also loyal to his tribe. He is introduced as an open-minded member of his tribe. Sandman is critical of his fellow tribesmen, highlighting to his sister their outdated views and their misconceptions. Nonetheless, he is ready to take the risk to participate in a continent-spanning horse race to give back his tribe's stolen lands to them, showing a great degree of loyalty for his tribe.

(Calm and collected) The white man is the enemy. But, protecting yourself by understanding the enemy's culture is another way. Our tribe's way of thinking won't work in these times. Everybody thinks we're being hounded from our ancestors' lands. But the white man's basic concept is money. There is no such thing as the ancestors' land anymore. This place belongs to the person that holds the money.
(Pity and justified) I need to buy back my ancestors’ land. For our tribe to survive the changing times, we need money. I feel sorry for you two, but I do not feel guilt. That is what your people have established for yourselves. Money above all.
Sandman? That is a name which was mistakenly given to me by your people. The actual name is Soundman. My tribesmen call me "He Who Creates Sound" in our native tongue.

Steven Steel is a secondary ally and promoter of the Steel Ball Run.
Steven Steel is shown to be an anxious character despite bearing a bold facade as the organizer and host of the race. During most of his life, Steven Steel has cultivated a bombastic and eccentric persona, becoming a performer, sportsman and other jobs in the center of the stage, but would find his calling as a promoter for various events. Despite the ups and downs of his career, Steven has managed to always rebound to success. Steven also projects the image of a stern and confident promoter who tackles any problem with calm and authority. Privately, Steven is full of doubts and only dreams of a modest amount of fame.

(Vulnerable and happy) Lucy… as long as you’re here beside me… I’m content with leading an ordinary life. I don’t need anything else. Well, I guess it makes me a little happy to see my names in the papers… even if those papers are going to be in the trash by the next morning. It can just be in the bottom corner. In tiny letters. “Produced by Steven Steel”. That’s fine with me… Just for that, I’ll put my whole heart and soul into this race…
