"Jo-Idols" is a song covering channel, inspired by the very popular manga and anime series, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Each singer will be portrayed as different characters (up to 3 for each) and covering songs from various different genres, and in various different languages. Each character will have their original, and their genderbend counterpart. We strive to be the best we can possibly be, and hope that Jo-Idols can bring each other together, to make something utterly beautiful.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Japanese: ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 Hepburn Romanization: JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken) tells the story of the Joestar family, a family whose various members discover they are destined to take down supernatural foes using unique powers that they possess. The manga/anime is split up into 8 unique parts, each following the story of one member of the Joestar family, who inevitably has a name that can be abbreviated to the titular "JoJo". The first six parts of the series take place within a single continuity, while parts 7 and 8 take place in an alternate continuity. The series is famous for its iconic poses, unique designs, frequent references to Western popular music and fashion, and creative battles centered around "Stands," psycho-spiritual manifestations possessing a wide variety of supernatural abilities.(ONLY FOR PART 3 AND ONWARD.) The series is licensed in North America by Viz Media, which has produced various English-language releases of the first four parts of the series since 2005.
NOTE: The staff here at Jo-Idols want this group to be as strong as we possibly can, and take pride in what we do. This is a LONG TERM project, so if you are unwilling to give Jo-Idols the passion it needs to strive, please don't audition.

"Where are we going to meet and communicate?" - This is a Discord EXCLUSIVE group. You NEED Discord to audition, to send in lines, and basically do everything. You CAN NOT get accepted if you don't have Discord.
"How will people get cast?" - You will be being cast depending on how your range, tone, timbre, and other vocal skills, and we will match your voice to the character. But please remember, if you want more than one character, you need to have a vast range, and timbre!
"Are we getting paid?" - This is a non-profit group, therefore no.
"How is this group going to be run?" - This group is run by SparkleChan713, and will be taken quite seriously, but the staff hopes all of us can bond over this, and have fun times, as well as serious times.
"What languages are we singing in?" - Language in this case, doesn't really matter, only you HAVE to be able to speak, talk and sing in ENGLISH. Any other language is optional.
"How long will this group last?" - As long as we are still able to post covers on social media, this group will last for quite a long time.

Before you audition, I have to lay down some requirements, and they will be listed below.

1. You MUST have Discord, and comment your Discord ID, under your audition. This is so we can easily communicate with you, and send you updates and scripts in the simplest way. If you get selected, you will be DM’ed on Discord, to a link to the group. Keep in mind if you don’t do this, your audition will be disregarded.
2. Record with a decent microphone. Any thing is okay to record with. Just please, (As long as it isn’t the literal definition of C R A P, that it would be good to use!)
3. Must be able to work with deadlines. Don’t worry, I’m not THAT strict. I tend to be moderate with my deadlines, so you have plenty of time to get your lines in. If you have issues with my deadlines, please let me know!
4. Please be dedicated to this group. It's very hard to recast for certain roles, so if you aren't up to work for a very long-term project, please don't audition. Also please give it your all, and put effort in your recordings.
5. Be respectful to those around you. Don't be a meanie! If you respect us, we will respect you back!

Jotaro is introduced as a rough delinquent, but he has a gentle heart, and is loyal to those he likes. He is highly perceptive, intelligent and quick-witted while keeping a perpetually cool or stoic, slightly neutral or disinterested attitude. Jotaro is an extremely cool and stoic individual, able to keep his composure in even the direst situations.
I'm looking for a baritone with smooth and thick vocals, that can easily fluctuate between mid and low notes.

Josuke is a savvy, confident and courageous teenager, and aside from his general goal of protecting Morioh from any Stand menace, is concerned by more down to earth matters, such as hanging out with his friends. Josuke is very prone to openly talk about his feelings, either expressing amusement, fear and anger, and etc. thus he appears as a goofy individual. His amiable and quirky personality makes him a very easy-going and kind person at heart. ...Unless you insult his hair, which he automatically enters a blind fit of rage regardless of the circumstances and people around him, and becomes much more rude and violent. So, no mentioning the hair, okay?
We are looking for an energetic and upbeat tenor, with a silvery voice that shows a lot of vocal expression.

A defining characteristic of Giorno, and shared among his peers through him, is his resolve (覚悟 kakugo); something that can be described as his ability to make important decisions without hesitation and seeing them through to the very end, even in the face of pain, sorrow, and tragedy. With others, Giorno treats people with the amount of respect he believes they deserve based on his observations of their beliefs and actions. He seems to have inherited both of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando's traits, with the former's being present towards peers and allies, and the latter's towards enemies. He has a good heart and wants to help out anybody who has demonstrated kindness to him or others. However, Giorno values life greatly and always seeks to never leave someone to die if he himself is able to help it, even putting himself in danger if another can stay unharmed. He believes that a "will of self-sacrifice", or giving one's own life for the sake of others, is not a part of what he believes resolve is.
We're seeking a tenor or baritone with calm and smoky vocals, and can easily blend with others, like a smoothie.

During Steel Ball Run, Johnny was burdened by depression and a subsequent lack of confidence. Notably calling himself a useless person, Johnny's bleak outlook of life stemmed from his youth. Johnny is still aggressive and forceful. However, after being taken off his feet by Gyro's steel ball, he also closely follows his words. Johnny is stubborn and strong-willed; he refuses to accept Gyro's claims that he stood up from his wheelchair as a reflex, and races despite his disability, being a paraplegic.
We are looking for a powerful and bold tenor with a sharp, but bold tone, who can show a lot of raw emotion.

The tentatively named Josuke Higashikata, aka "Gappy" by Jojo fans, is a quirky amnesiac determined to learn his true identity and his past. Gappy is relatively polite and has been shown to strongly value familial relationships. Being amnesiac, Gappy places a great emphasis on one's family and legacy, wishing to learn his own past. Every action he takes leans towards helping himself establish an internal emotional equanimity through the recovery of his identity and the protection of Yasuho. He acts extremely irrationally very often to pursue these personal goals, and his logical deductions never win out over his emotional desires.
We're seeking a tenor or countertenor, with a sharp voice, and slightly nasally undertones.

The female counterpart of Dio Brando/DIO. Delia is consistently manipulative and violently domineering, and has repeatedly shown a lack of conscience and empathy. Delia's most recognizable characteristics are her boundless ambition, her natural charisma, and her love of power. Abused by her father and having lived in the most miserable living conditions, Delia set for herself the goal of becoming the richest, then the most powerful being on Earth. To do so, Delia used anything or anyone that she could in order to further her goals, disregarding any kind of morality that would restrain the range of actions available to her. Using either manipulation, seduction, charisma, or plain violence, Delia constantly sought to become more and more powerful.

The female counterpart of Kars. Tarja is intelligent, ruthless, and single-minded in her dedication to obtain the Red Stone of Aja. She was stated to have been a genius among the Pillar (wo)men, having been the original creator of the Stone Mask. With the advantage of her resilience and immortality, Tarja is a methodical and patient individual who can infiltrate human society, or observes a room to strike all its occupants in one move. Despite her stern, no-nonsense exterior, Tarja possesses a murderous and sadistic nature. She has stated that a life without an enemy is boring, and has shown to enjoy fights occasionally. However, she only really appreciates seeing her enemies being in a weak position and panicking, appreciation the expression and cries of despair on Joseph when he was the Ultimate Lifeform and often licks her lips in anticipation of their demise.
I'm seeking a strong alto or mezzo soprano with a slight gravelly tone, and can belt with out an issue.

The female counterpart of Diavolo. The biggest personality trait Diavola shows is her obsession with erasing any trace of her history and keeping her presence a secret from the world, a compulsion she tries to fulfill by any means. As she believes the mistakes of the past or simply the past itself is something to be defeated and destroyed in order for human beings to grow, she is exceptionally anxious about her past, linking it to fear, and being apprehensive of anyone learning of her. Diavola has a violent tendency to hunt and kill those who try to uncover any kind of personal information, or are merely susceptible to lead her enemies to her, as shown by Diavola herself, will to kill even her own family if it means keeping her identity safe.
I'm looking for a deep, and smoky contralto* (lower than alto), that can really bring out their lower register.

The female counterpart of Doppio Vinegar. Doppia is Diavola's alter ego in which is a separate soul that share the same body. Doppia is a much more regular person in contrast to Diavola: friendly, honest, and a bit cowardly. Doppia regularly hallucinates random objects as "phones" with which she talks with her alter-ego, not knowing that they share the same body. Doppia mostly behaves like a good-natured person and is by default a friendly and polite individual, but whenever attacked, Doppia automatically reverts to a state of true fear and submission, often choosing the safest option such as comply with her aggressor's demands. Even with the bridge of personality to personality, however, she is entirely unaware of their co-inhabitance and considers herself Diavola's underboss and, furthermore, an entirely separate person.
We're looking for a sweet, and energetic soprano, with a youthful nature and timbre, and honeyed vocals. NOT A LOLI.

The female counterpart of Enrico Pucci. The nun, Enrica Pucci is a fanatic committed to a heretical notion of God's will and to DELIA's plan. Even though Pucci is a nun, she is completely treacherous, wicked and slightly insane in her own way. She will do anything she can to accomplish her goals, even kill and manipulate others, because she really believes it is for a greater good for everyone. Originally good-hearted, she became a vicious fanatic due to Delia corrupting her, developing her belief that humans are unable to fight against the ruling forces, such as God's will and fate. Pucci desires to make sure everyone knows about their destiny and have them accept it. Pucci is mostly reserved, but over the course of the story, she becomes increasingly common to become massively joyful to her successes.
We're looking for a mature and distinguished sounding alto with velvety and rich vocals.

The female counterpart of Funny Valentine. Fancy Valentine is a dignified but immoral patriot, militant in her will to accomplish what she thinks is best for the United States. President Valentine is determined to obtain the Corpse parts by any means necessary, but her favorite tends to be militaristically sending out her men to kill and steal the parts from anyone who obtains them. Her ruthlessness might derive from the strong sense of justice she acquired at a young age that she carried with her into adulthood. Valentine has also demonstrated that she is an absolute patriot to her country, as her motive to get the Corpse parts is deflect any and all misfortune in the United States to a different spot in the world and ensure that the United States is the greatest country on Earth.

The female counterpart of Diego Brando. During his childhood, Diana was a good-natured and resourceful kid. Her mother raised her with love and taught him to keep her dignity in even the direst situation. At age five, witnessing her mother sacrificing her hands so that she could be fed, Diana developed a resentment of everyone around her for allowing that to happen, and an insatiable ambition. Since then Diana has been driven to climb the social ladder in order to get back at everyone who wronged her in the past. Diana possesses a strong misanthropy, describing humanity as a "flock of pigeons", and resents humans as a whole for the death of her mother. Thus Diana is naturally solitary, never looking to bond with anyone, and in case she has to cooperate with someone, she will keep a certain amount of separation between them. Diana sees human life as worthless and will sacrifice anyone to further her goals without hesitation. Oh, and let's not forget that Diana turned into part dinosaur, after she was controlled by Dr. Ferdinand to get the left eye of the Saint's corpse.

Now for this, I know there ARE going to be some people who wanted to audition for characters that weren't on this casting call. So I decided to open a freestyle audition, for you to audition for any major character of your choosing! Genderbends are included! So go ahead, if you wanted to audition for let's just say Noriaki Kakyoin, go ahead! We aren't here to stop you. But we are limiting it to only Main Jojos, Villains, and MAIN JOBROS. No minor characters will be accepted. (Meaning no 9 Glory Gods of Egypt, or La Squadra, etc.) Also, please note. We are only accepting THREE PEOPLE for the freestyles. This is just to make it fair. But...have fun! Just go crazy with it!
