Jimmy N’ Pals Episode 5(Halo Reach Machinima) Voice Actor Call
Project Overview
This project is a Sci-Fi Action-Comedy heavily inspired by machinima classics like Red vs. Blue. It blends high-stakes military sci-fi firefights with deadpan, character-driven comedy, bizarre office politics, and lingering questions about soldier loyalty.
Episode:
Following their latest findings, Jimmy and Frankreturn to base to debrief and begin a full reconnaissance sweep of the sector. While managing the ongoing confinement of their prisoner, Dave, the duo discovers an undocumented underground sub-level containing a functional teleporter and anomalous floating technology.
As they talk about the news and check out the base's vehicle bay, they remain completely unaware that they are under surveillance. High on a nearby cliffside, an enemy scout named Darrel is actively tracking their movements and preparing to relay their position back to hostile command.

Role Type: Supporting / Recurring
Character Bio: Kai is a casual, cynical guard who has seen it all and has absolutely no patience for melodrama. She is highly sarcastic, deadpan, and strictly focused on results. While she answers to the Overlord, she clearly considers herself superior to the field goons. She treats dangerous sci-fi situations and life-or-death proximity like a boring 9-to-5 job, completely brushing off Goon 1's near-death trauma with a smirk.
Voice Type: Sarcastic, deadpan, and unbothered. Think of a relaxed, cynical female soldier or a tired supervisor. Her tone should be sharp, witty, and completely unimpressed by David’s complaints.
(Sarcastically)sure you did pal
Did you get tossed off a cliff into a river?
Whatever, man. Did you actually find anything before your little swim?
Character Bio: David is the brains of the henchman operation, though he still gets stuck doing all the dangerous field work. He handles the technical equipment—like scanning for volatile anomalies and decrypting hidden coordinates—but his intellectual vibe doesn't save him from getting thrown off cliffs into rivers. He is high-strung, easily irritated by his less-intelligent peers, and incredibly defensive when his near-death experiences are brushed off.Voice Type: Nervous, analytical, and fast-talking. Think of a stressed-out scientist, researcher, or tech expert who is completely out of his comfort zone in the field. He should sound intelligent but highly expressive and prone to panicked, high-energy shouting when frustrated.Age Range: 20s–40s
(Panicked, highly defensive shouting) "YES, I DID! Hey, fuck you! I almost died!"
Analytical, focused) "Alright, according to the scanner, this is the exact place that's throwing off that weird anomaly energy signal."
coughs water up violently* WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT GUY !?!
Voice & Character Profile: Goon 2
Voice Tone: Deep, gravelly, and dripping with arrogance. It needs a heavy, imposing presence that makes him sound like a high-ranking threat, not just a random grunt.
The Return Effect: While he starts out sounding like a tough, living mercenary, his eventual comeback will feature a distorted, un-alive soul effect. Think hollow, echoing, slightly metallic, or digitally corrupted—the chilling voice of someone who has crawled his way back from the grave.
Delivery Style:
The Condescending Boss: When dealing with Goon 1, his delivery is impatient, lazy, and superior. He talks down to others because he thinks manual labor is beneath him ("Just don't take all day").
The Overconfident Predator: In combat, his voice shifts into a dark, mocking snarl. He takes slow, deliberate breaths and takes his time taunting his prey when he thinks he has the upper hand ("Any last words...?").
He has the lethal combat skills to back up his massive ego, but his arrogance is his fatal flaw. Oil taught him a permanent lesson about checking his six—but in this universe, a missing body means death is just the beginning of his vendetta.
Done ,now take care of that damn anomaly
well go head inside see what's the anomaly about after you see what it is, I’ll report what you found back to the overlord when your done
Any last words, you pathetic excuse of a spartan?
Crimson is the team's resident medic, which unfortunately means she spends 10% of her time patching up bullet wounds and 90% of her time babysitting a team of chaotic, reckless mercenaries. She is highly intelligent, blunt, and permanently exhausted by the sheer stupidity of the people around her. While the guys are running off on wild adventures or accidentally blowing up base equipment, Crimson is the sarcastic voice of reason trying to keep the base from burning down. She speaks with a deadpan, "I don't get paid enough for this" attitude, but deep down, she still keeps everyone alive. Voice Type & Direction:
Tone: Mid-to-low range, calm, deadpan, and dry.
Delivery: Sarcastic and blunt, but natural. Think of a tired nurse, a stressed corporate worker, or characters like Raven from Teen Titans, Mai from Avatar: The Last Airbender, or Tex / Carolina from Red vs. Blue when they are thoroughly annoyed.
Note for Voice Actors: Avoid sounding completely robotic or monotone. She isn't an AI; she is a real human who is just deeply, emotionally tired of her coworkers' antics. Let her sighs and annoyance sound genuine!
Gregory, I don’t get paid nearly enough to keep track of those absolute morons.
Yep. Oh, by the way, that prisoner Frank has locked up in his little closet-base thing? He's actually a tech tech guy. He could probably fix that tower before the whole grid shorts out.
Deep, painful sigh) Fantastic. More manual labor. Just what I went to medical school for.
Age: Adult / Mature
Character Traits: Cold, calculating, authoritative, serious, unbothered (until actual stakes are raised).
Vocal Style: Deep, calm, and stoic. Think of a military commander or a high-ranking sci-fi villain who never needs to yell to control a room. Similar to the Arbiter or a serious Spartan commander.
Character Description:
Nick is a high-ranking leader within his shadowy organization, overseeing massive holographic data streams and high-stakes operations. He is highly pragmatic and doesn't easily panic over standard operational leaks. However, he is fiercely protective of his network security and encryption codes. When he realizes a genuine threat is gathering—like Jimmy linking up with Fireteam Nomad—his calculation turns into cold, aggressive intent. He wants problems dealt with quickly, quietly, and permanently
Cold, monotone) "What is it?"
Slightly dismissive, ) "We don’t need to panic over standard personnel files. If they leak, they leak."
stern and demanding) "He's gathering a crowd. Send whoever is closest to deal with that moron and his new pals."
Role Type: Supporting / Recurring (With potential for temporary/backup vocals cover)
Age/Appearance: Adult Spartan armor, sleek and combat-ready.
Voice Type / Accent: Australian or British/London accent (rugged but clear). Mid-to-deep register.
Character Description:
Coby is a reliable, sharp-witted operative fighting alongside Fireteam Nomad. He’s skilled in combat and handles his business under pressure, but he’s not above some lighthearted banter or getting competitive with his partner, Oil. He can get caught off guard by a enemy ambush, but he stays quick on his feet and knows how to keep his composure in a firefight.
(Keep in mind you will be covering for the vocals of this character temporarily)
(And you are always welcome to step in if the Va is unavailable)
I need to let the others know about this... You should always check your surroundings, mate."
Coughing a bit after a hit) "Hey, I had him! Fine, you can have this one, okay mate? Anyways, let’s get Jimmy down here."
Hey, you're the guy Frank locked in a pocket-dimension closet, right? ...Oookay. Anyways, the name's Coby, and our team leader is Gregory."
