Jackpot Crash Course is a multi-chaptered casino-themed death game visual novel about crime, luck, and spectacle.
Against all odds, Eddie must take part in a game show starring only criminals and gamble against rival players to prove himself still worthy of being pardoned for his wrong deeds.

That’s the official summary of Jackpot Crash Course! A game developed by Studio Investigative (you may know them by their most popular games, Dead Plate and Elevator Hitch). I’ve been a fan of them for years, and now I wish to share this amazing story with more people through voice acting!
We will be dubbing all three routes and every free time event of Chapter 1. This will then be posted on youtube. (I would also like to do Chapters 2 and 3 when they release with the same cast. But we will cross that bridge when we get to it.)

Before auditioning, I would like to set out a few rules first thing:
Discord is mandatory for this project, as I will be communicating with the cast in a server.
Please do 2-3 takes per line in ABCABC or AABBCC format.
You must be 16+ to participate in this dub. So please do not audition if you are under the age of 16 (the only exception I will make is if you turn 16 before the due date of casting. That is it.)
These characters do not have canonical voices. I have written voice descriptions for what my interpretations of the characters are, but if you want to do something wildly different (ex. make Cecilia Southern, make the characters sound a little cartoony.) Go for it! Let lady luck be on your side! Who knows, maybe I’ll like it more than what I put down.
For audio quality, please have no background noise in your audition.
Please do not slate in your audition! I just want to hear your takes on the lines.
Poppy and Vega are not available to be auditioned for. I myself will be playing Poppy, and I have already found a voice actor for Vega. Every other character is up for grabs and will only be cast for people on this website. (No outside this website casting for any of the characters that have profiles.)

Voice Actor
Eddie is a highly analytical individual, excelling at his corporate job as a risk assessment advisor. However, his poor social skills and short temper often create friction which makes many find him intimidating. Eddie’s anger issues have been a persistent struggle, though he actively works on managing them by avoiding social interactions altogether. Not that he can avoid it now given the circumstance.

Voice Direction: Medium-Low male vocal range, I want a deep and standoffish voice, something awkward but logical and can be intimidating given the right moment. Eddie canonically has smokers cough and I would like a more gravelly tone of voice to represent that.

Note: Eddie is the protagonist of the game so you will be talking a lot if you are willing to take on such a big role.
(Confused) I uh.. really like what you did with your hair. It looks more... lively? I guess?
(Yelling, angry) Would you cut that out already!? Rubbing in how much longer I have to live. What's wrong with you?!
(Threatening) I won't wish you luck for interviews, but you should find someone who will. I don't know what you expect going around blackmailing people in a show where you're basically asking for a pardon.
Voice Actor
Benny is a daring and outgoing guy, constantly having a 'need for speed', so to say. He doesn't consider the consequences of his actions, deciding to be impulsive and act first before really thinking a plan through. He's a noncommittal person that is allergic to staying in one place and can't settle down. He refuses to let himself be held down by anything ranging from trivial matters to serious relationships, which causes a lot of strain on the people he's close to.

Voice Direction: Medium-High male vocal range, I want a bold and playful voice, something that sounds outgoing and cocky, Impulsive and daring.
(Mocking) Pfft- What? Want me to get on my knees and apologise? You signed up to be here, didn't you?
(Playful) Yowch, today really isn't your day, huh? Maybe if you joined me on the slots you can catch up. We can even share a chair!
(Serious, slightly annoyed) It's luck, buddy. Just like how unlucky I got to be stuck with some whiny asshole who isn't even my type. If it’s not on your side, you weren't gonna make it very far here anyway.
Voice Actor
Cecilia is a caring, playful, and optimistic person. She plays up the title of being a fair maiden before she shows more of her true colours. She’s very elegant with her presentation and speaking. She is willing to do anything and use anyone to advance further in the game.

Voice Direction: Medium-High female vocal range, I want a very elegant and sweet voice, light, soft and a little posh but can still have an edge to it in the more cold moments.
(Surprised but calm) Oh my, how surprising! Out of everyone, you seemed most likely to watch a show as barbaric as to incapacitate someone live on air like this.
(Concerned) He’s been in and out of sleep, but I don’t think there should be any long term injuries!
(Mask slipping from kind to cold hearted) You've got nothing to worry about. We got a Blackjack, we're safe! *a pause* You're not making any sense.. Maybe you got confused, is that it? We will stay Mr. Cupid.
Voice Actor
Sailor is a confident, caring person, he is also the only minor in the game. Sailor is childish, he can get very energetic but can get disappointed just as easily. He may be a bit naive, but he always tries his best to understand and get through whatever’s thrown at him. He heavily focuses on the well-being of his "crew."

Voice Direction: Medium-High male or androgynous vocal range, I want a very youthful and cheerful voice, someone oozing with confidence and whimsy. He’s also a very comedic character so don’t be afraid to be a little silly with it. British and Scottish accents are welcomed but not mandatory (You can even do the accent poorly if you want, he’s a kid being a pirate!)
(Excited) Now that we've formed the crew, it's time I've introduced everyone! I am Captain Sailor!
(Fondness) Reminds me of when the villains get punished in the old pictures me grandpa would sit around watching!
(Panicked) What the hell are you doing?! You’re gonna kill him!
Voice Actor
Rook is a proper and rather tight-laced, self-described "noble" person who is loyal to its friends but suspicious of other contestants' intentions. She seems to care for and trust Cecilia above everything else. Perhaps even ultimately above her own morals, when push comes to shove.

Voice Direction: Medium female vocal range, I want a very strict and upfront voice, a rule follower and very noble sounding person. (A voice akin to Tenya Ida or most impressions you hear for Rouxls Card but more feminine). She’s also a very comedic character so don’t be afraid to be a little silly.
(Worried) Hold your horses! What about the contestants that didn't win any chips? There was something mentioned about their time being cut short?
(Devoted and protective) I completely agree, my lady. Shield your eyes from this display, I wouldn’t wish for you to become faint.
(Confidant then shocked) Hmph! Speaking when your hair is covering your eye—an obvious miscalculation from your part. As you can see, it perfectly– Does not fit?!
Voice Actor
Maneki, as their role states, is quite enigmatic. Their personality is fairly unknown, but they seem to be a much more passive character that seeks fairness amongst the other contestants.

Voice Direction: Medium androgynous vocal range, Fun fact Maneki doesn't speak! And they are not going to speak. What I’m looking for is someone to narrate their actions in a calming, soft voice.
They hold up a fan with a bull drawn on it.

Maneki puts their hand behind their ear.

At first Sandbag seems to be a very aggressive and impulsive person, but don’t let his intimidating appearance fool you. This man has a heart of gold and is very protective of his companions.

Voice Direction: Low male vocal range, I want a rough, gravelly, intimidating voice that also has a more softer and protective side to it.
(Concerned, angry) Hey! I got paired up with a kid in there! What the fuck kind of stunt are you trying to play?
(Weak and in pain) Eeurgh… It's.. ...making it worse…
(Protected and pissed off, then awkward) Hey-! Were you the one pickin' on Sailor!? *pause* No..? Oh.. Uh.. Have a good.. day then..
Voice Actor
Cobyn is very considerate and caring, but also a little naive and oblivious. He looks out for everyone, even those they have not personally met. They struggle with social cues and often get sidetracked when he rambles about plant facts.

Voice Direction: Medium-Low male vocal range, I want a very calming and caring voice, something sweet with the best intentions in mine with every word spoken. He is also Irish, Irish accents are welcomed but not mandatory
(Worried) Sounds promising. But I'm more worried about any of us getting into some serious trouble for this, it'd be awful to see you two hurt.
(Disappointed but trying to look on the positive side of things) Well... we would've never known that unless we tried, so let's still see this as a win!
(Excited) Speaking of forgetting, did you know forget-me-nots are actually a genus of flowering plants called Myosotis-

Vick is a very opportunistic man with a very strict plan of how things should go for him. He has very high standards and often monopolizes allies to benefit himself. He constantly wants to have control of every situation he’s in and starts to lose it when that control slips away.

Voice Direction: Low male vocal range, I would like a very professional and uptight voice, someone who sounds like they are in control at all times and holds more power over everyone with a hint of venom.
(Authoritative) Word of advice, you really need to work on your negotiating skills. We'll take the compass and what you have for the kit.
(Matter of factly) Personally, I've never been one to get into fights. ... And God knows these two wouldn't be able to wrestle their way out of trouble.
(Yelling: Rage, he’s losing control of the situation) What the hell did you just do-!? Do you realise what you’ve just done! You’ve killed us, that's what you did!
Voice Actor
Bones is a flirtatious and charismatic character that likes to manipulate and charm others to get what they want. They often point out flaws and jab at characters they don't like. He has a tendency to try and provoke others as well, only to de-escalate things when they progress.

Voice Direction: Medium male vocal range, I want a raspy, monotone yet charming voice that carries a sense of confidence and aloofness. He doesn’t take things too seriously.
(Bored) I was starting to think we got another dud. So did you kill your partner in there or what?
(Mocking) You're a criminal, aren't you? Or are you one of those- 'I didn't do it! I'm innocent! waa, waa, waa! Where's my due process!? They've got me locked up for something I didn't even do!' types?
(Sarcastic) Aww, did you finally get charmed by me? Cut it out or you’ll make me throw up.
Voice Actor
Elise is a bit of a sadistic person that enjoys messing with the other contestants, sometimes lighthearted, sometimes cruel. They have no regard for anyone else seeing the death game as entertainment that he loves to mess with.

Voice Direction: Medium-High androgynous vocal range, I want a very energetic and youthful voice with a bit of rasp, this is someone who is a fast talker with manic energy jumping from one topic to another.
(Sarcastic) Maybe if you bothered to *win* against your opponent, you'd have earned it!
(Annoyed) What fun is a competition if they're willing to help the loser?! And *I* thought I was supposed to be the nonsensical one, HELLOOO?!
(Excited) It's obviously gonna be a hanging! Just look at all of the props! And the best part is that it's not the drop that will kill you, but the piercing of the spikes in your neck will! Hahahaha!

The host of the reality show Bet and Forgive. On camera Cupid’s a sleazy but energetic host. Off camera he’s a sarcastic, blunt and snippy person who doesn't like being questioned about his role as host. It’s just a job to him.

Voice Direction: Medium-High male vocal range, in the game he is described as looking like a “used car sales man” and I think it would be fun if he was given that kind of voice! I want him to have two types of voices, when on camera a used car sales man pitching the show to the audience, off camera a tired voice of a man just trying to get a pay check.
(On Camera, Charming): Welcome ladies and gentlemen to an "extra lucky" season 7 of Bet and Forgive! ... I'm your host Cupid King!
(On Camera, commentating): Woah now, folks! Looks like an outlaw’s lasso’d up one of his fellow contestants!
(Off Camera, Tired then annoyed): You’d have to ask production on that, I just have the call sheet. You know most people open a conversation with “Hi” or “Hello”, right?
Voice Actor
A bartender who is described as a person who "fills the room with negative energy". Many odd things seem to be happening behind the scenes of Bet and Forgive and she seems to be connected to it somehow.
