Project Overview
Fluentwise is a language learning app that teaches Spanish through interactive grammar lessons and short stories.
This project will not use any AI generated assets in the final product.

Note that the voice over in the videos are AI text to speech but thats only for prototyping. Final product will only use human assets.
I only used generative AI in the past because I thought it was my only option with my budget but something didn’t feel right so started looking for alternatives. The irony is that Ai (ChatGPT) brought me here. lol.
I wasn’t expecting much support when I came so I’m deeply grateful for all the positive responses I’ve gotten.

I don’t have a budget but I also don’t want you to work for free unless you want to.
I know you are very talented and deserve to be rewarded for your effort.
So I would like deferred payment depending on the success of the project.
You will still own the rights to the unpaid audio , video, illustration you produce and will have the right to remove your assets if you wish to.
However I know that with your creativity and my technical skills we will become the most powerful force in the universe. 😎
And I will be able to eventually buy the rights from you at a fair price within one year from now.
Im also not interested in a one year license but a perpetual (forever) license.
I will also create a credits page in the app with your name and your contribution / work. Even a small bio if you want.

Generative AI

Even when I buy the rights I will never use the assets for training AI models or cloning and it will be stated in the license agreement.
Im not against AI when used ethically. But I’ve come to realize that the generative AI industry is corrupt and breaking copyright laws for profit and I don’t support it.
Please note that although the digital assets in app will be protected with encryption it is impossible to prevent someone cloning your likeness or work using an external recorder like a camera. And they only need 15 seconds of your audio or video to clone you. As most of us are on social media we are all already at risk. 😥 In the unlikely scenario something like this happens I cannot be held responsible.
Sorry to end on a negative note but I just want to address some of the questions I was asked.

The main character / language teacher is a warm, friendly, smiling and expressive character.
The work is mostly voice over with at least one introduction video. The more videos the better.
You will be explaining Spanish grammar rules in an easy to digest manner.
American accent preferred but British accent is also good. Most ideal would be American accent with a hint of Spanish/Latin accent. But not so strong that it makes it difficult for user to understand.
I admit that I underestimated how difficult it is for non natives to pronounce Spanish sentences 🙂 so would would prefer someone with some Spanish experience.
We will only record one chapter before publishing a beta demo app for testing. So it’s not that much work.

A noun can be a person place or thing. So it can be a boy, train station or a table. Adjectives are words like big, small, good, bad, etc. They are used to describe nouns. So in the sentence "the big dog”, dog is the noun and big is the adjective.

Looking for an illustrator to create illustrations for some short stories.
Your illustrations don’t have to be perfect or detailed.
But I will need a consistent style and color scheme.
So if black and white stick men is all you can do then we will roll with it. lol.
I’m a fan of quirky, abstract, exaggerated shapes style of illustrations.

Looking for an editor / proofreader who is a native Spanish speaker.
Ideally you should love writing and speak Spanish fluently. You also need a good understanding of Spanish grammar.
You will be checking for grammar errors in translations and improving written work.

Looking for a writer to write micro stories. The stories should be around 50 sentences to 70 sentences max.
The stories will be translated into Spanish.
Im looking for people that are truly passionate about story telling and want to express themselves creatively.
There will be no way to tell if your stories were generated with ChatGPT. But please note our brand is strictly against the use of generative AI for creative work. Generative AI has broken copyright laws in order to train their models and this hurts true creatives like you and me.

Voice Actor
Looking for a voice actor who can pronounce Spanish sentences well or at least near native level.
If you’re not Spanish speaker you should be willing to practice with google translate or any text to speech.
I admit that I underestimated how difficult it is for non-natives to pronounce Spanish sentences. 🙂So would prefer someone with a Spanish background but if you think you can do it then give it a shot.
Also some Spanish natives were able to point out the poor grammar in the scripts. I really appreciate such feedback as Im not a native speaker myself. 🙂
You can be male, female, senior, young, deep voice, high pitched voice . Looking for a diverse range of voices.
