Monica isn't afraid to tell the truth, even when it's difficult to hear, and she frequently helps Katy navigate the complicated situations in her life.

She serves as an emotional support character and trusted confidant throughout the story.

Emma is kind, intelligent, friendly, and easy to get along with. Unlike a typical romance-story rival, Emma is not a villain. She genuinely cares about people and forms a real friendship with both Jack and Katy. Her relationship with Jack unintentionally creates emotional conflict for Katy, but Emma never intentionally hurts anyone.

Emma's role is important because she represents the life Jack might have chosen before realizing where his heart truly belongs.

The Audio Editor / Sound Engineer will be responsible for helping bring the world of "It Was Always You" to life through high-quality audio production. This role involves cleaning and balancing voice recordings, reducing background noise, adjusting audio levels between actors, and creating a polished final listening experience.

The editor may also assist with sound design, including adding ambient sounds, transitions, phone call effects, city ambience, airports, rain, and other environmental sounds when appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and edit voice recordings

• Balance audio levels between cast members

• Add sound effects and ambience when needed

• Assist in final mastering and episode production

Requirements:

• Experience with audio editing software (Audacity, Reaper, Adobe Audition, etc.)

• Ability to meet deadlines

This is one of the most important production roles and will have a major impact on the overall quality of the audiobook.

Role Description:

The Music Composer will create original background music for "It Was Always You." The story features a mixture of romance, friendship, heartbreak, emotional reunions, and dramatic moments, and the soundtrack should help enhance those scenes without overpowering the dialogue.

Music may include piano pieces, orchestral themes, acoustic tracks, ambient background music, and character motifs. The goal is to create an emotional soundtrack that supports the story and helps immerse listeners in the world of the audiobook.

Responsibilities:

• Create original music tracks

• Produce emotional themes for important scenes

• Compose opening and ending music

• Collaborate with the director on the tone of scenes

• Deliver audio files suitable for production use

Requirements:

• Experience composing music

• Ability to create emotional and cinematic pieces

• Good communication and willingness to take feedback

This role is perfect for composers who enjoy creating music for storytelling and character-driven projects.

Role Type: Production Team

Role Description:

The Character Artist will help visually bring the characters of "It Was Always You" to life. Artwork may be used for promotional materials, project thumbnails, social media posts, character references, casting updates, and future story-related content.

Artists should be comfortable drawing characters based on written descriptions while maintaining consistency across multiple illustrations.

Responsibilities:

• Create character reference artwork

• Design promotional images and project thumbnails

• Draw scenes from the story when requested

• Work with the director to establish character appearances

• Maintain visual consistency across artwork

Requirements:

• Ability to create digital artwork

• Experience drawing original characters

• Willingness to communicate and collaborate on designs

• Portfolio or examples of previous artwork preferred

Whether your style is realistic, semi-realistic, anime-inspired, or stylized, all artists are welcome to audition as long as they can capture emotion and character personality.
