What Is This???
Interstellar Studios is a small multimedia studio, creating both fan-made and original projects!!! This specific casting call is for our fan made projects.
If you are applying to be a Body Actor, or a Body Actor as well as Voice Actor, you must own a functioning VR headset & controllers OR a laptop/PC able to run VRChat. If you are only applying for Voice Actor, all you need is a decent mic. All must have Discord, as that will be the main form of communication.
Body Actors must either have improv skills or be willing to learn.
If accepted, you will receive a Discord friend request. My username is spookest_of_souls
All actors will receive an outline that will be provided to you ~5 days before each recording. In some instances you may receive a separate outline specific to your character's perspective.
Some fandoms may end up receiving some fully scripted episodes, but the majority are improv.
THIS IS A LONG TERM COMMITMENT, PLEASE DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU WOULDN'T BE WILLING TO COMMIT FOR 1-2+ YEARS.
We're hoping to eventually be able to expand, but as of right now we're covering 5 fandoms:
- Five Nights At Freddy's
- Kirby
- A Hat In Time
- Welcome Home
- Poppy's Playtime (specifically the Smiling Critters)
Submissions will be selected if you fit a specific character we need, and you may be selected for more than one. If you don't think you fit any of the characters, try out anyway! I might decide I like you for a character you don't expect!! :)
All submissions must include:
- What mic/headset you use
- Your age
- Your Discord Username
- What you would like to be called in the credits
BODY ACTORS must also include:
- Your VRChat username
How Will I Be Compensated?At the moment, I do not have the funds to pay anyone. However, if/when the time comes that I do, I will make sure everyone is paid appropriately. For now, all I can really offer is experience.

I mean come on, 61 TOTAL AUDITIONS??? That's nuts!!!
Don't worry if you're not selected NOW though, there may be a time in the future where I need more cast members!!! I may come back to this!!
I will continue to update here about episode recordings and releases for the foreseeable future.
The 15th is upon us!!! Auditions are due by 4:30PM EST. Anyone accepted will be contacted by the end of the 16th.
Also, we are still very short on Body Actors!!! So, if you can, it is HIGHLY encouraged that you audition for that!!! (also, to answer a common question I've gotten, full body tracking is NOT required. Owning a VR headset isn't required either, just encouraged. All that's required for that is a PC or laptop strong enough to run VRChat and decent mic quality.)
If we end up missing some voices, we can arrange something for that. But we cannot follow through with this project without enough body actors.

Happy to say that progress has been continuing to go smoothly!!! Everything will be all set for things to begin before auditions close!!!! People will begin receiving scripts and outlines ~2-4 days after being accepted to prepare for recordings!!
Side Note:
We have not gotten many if any Body Actor auditions, and it is so very important that we have that!!! So please, if you can, share this casting call with as many people you think might be interested, on socials, wherever you can!!
I can't wait to finally be able to talk more about this without spoiling the plot(s)!!! I'm so excited! (I may have done some ramblings about it on my socials.. which are linked in my profile btw if you wanna go check!!)

I'm wrapping up on writing the outlines I still need to get done right now and I now have a general idea as to what this year should look like. Happy New Year by the way!!!! I'm so excited :)
Thumbnail concepts and titles are also almost done, I've had each series' logos done for a LONG while, plus I've got the general plot/premise for them done (I did not originally have a plot for all of them! Some of them were just going to be silly little adventures! One of them still is kind of like that??? But for the most part there's also overarching plot(s) and it's very cool and I'm very excited.
Also I could yap for hours about character dynamics, they're all so silly.

Submission link should lead to a Google Drive folder containing proof you can run VRChat (so like a screenshot or video) and an audio file with the info requested in the role details (if you decide to do a video you can say what you'd say in the audio file during the video instead).
