We are hiring 5-10 actors.
Roles you can audition for:
Twilight- Villain, Sister of the main character
Lawyer (2-3 people): Lawyers for court, with one main lawyer which has a main role throughout the play.
Police/Prison Guards (5 people): Some guards have large parts, some don't. We need at least 1 male for this part.
If you sign up you will probably get a part.
You MUST have a MIC.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SING!!!!!

There are other roles, but these are the roles you can audition for.
There may be a second round (Call-backs).
If you have an innocent voice/good at acting nervous I suggest you go for Twilight.
If you are slightly more serious and good at adding weight into your voice I suggest you go for Lawyer.
If you don't fit into the other categories go for Police/Prison Guards.

Weighted character, one of the main characters. Stressed most of the time however a believer.
Piece 1:
Lawyer: No Thank you your Honor.
Judge: Defense, you may give your closing.
Lawyer: May I begin your Honor?
Judge: You may.
Lawyer: Your Honor, I would like to state that if Cactus had entered from the back window there would have been no way for her to close the camera power supply that had been plugged in from the inside. The only place where Cactus could have turned off the power supply was from the main door power box that would have turned off the power from the whole room. However the guards stated that they did not see anybody. Along with that, there were no cables destroyed at the scenes and no possible evidence that the cables were destroyed. Your honor, therefor, it is impossible for Cactus to be the murder. Your honor we plead your verdict of innocent.
Piece 2:
Lawyer (sigh): Badly. If we can’t buy time the detectives won’t have enough time. And we probably only have one hearing left.
Second Lawyer: What does cactus think?
Lawyer: She’s not in a mental state to figure out anything right now. If we can’t get her out after trial we’re going to have to find some kind of evidence, even if it’s fake.
Second Lawyer: We’ll be as bad as Twilight if we provide fake evidence-
Lawyer (Snaps at Second Lawyer): Your morals don’t matter right now. We’re trying to get someone falsly accused of murder out of a death sentence. And if you think your morals are more important than Cactus you might as well join Twilight’s team. You understand?
Second Lawyer (Slightly taken back): Y-Yes. Yes I understand. (Awkward silence) Sorry.
Lawyer (Sigh): Sorry it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that, I’m just- stressed, like all of us.
Second Lawyer: Hey it’s okay, I understand. (looks at starbucks shop) Hey, let’s get a coffee.
Lawyer (Short exhaled laugh): You’re the best.
Bubbly lighter character and supports alongside Lawyer 1. A higher voice but with weight.
Piece 1:

Chris gets a romatic relationship with the Main character. Soft, kind, but wants to do stuff right.
Chris enters from right
Chris: Hey! Stop It!
Prisoners run away, Chris is alone with Main.
Chris: Hey, you okay?
Chris offers a hand to Cactus.
Main (grunts out): Yeah. Th-Thanks.
Enter Prison Guard
Prison Guard: Hey Chris what you doing?!
Chris: Nothing, they were just beating her up. I-I just stopped the fight
Prison Guard looks at Main
Prison Guard: Hey isn’t she meant to be on floor duty?
Chris: Yea-Yeah, I think so.
Prison Guard: Tell her off then.
Chris: G-et GET TO WORK.
Chris and Prison Guard walks out.
Many different personalities. Make sure you know how to fake laugh.
Police 1(female): Miss Natasha? We have a warrant for your arrest.
Natasha opens the door
Natasha: My arrest? I haven’t done anything.
Police 1: Right this way.
Natasha: But- But I haven’t done anything?
Police 1: Ma’am we have a warrant for your arrest.
Natasha: I understand but-
Police 2: Ma’am we have a warrant for your arrest!
Pause (animation)
Note to animator: Top shot with angle (not too high not too low), Natasha is wearing a tshirt with trousers. Medium hair in pony tail. Two police stand side by side by the door while Natasha stands the opposite side of that door.
Police 1: Right this way.
Scene cut.
Scene cuts to lunch in the guard room
Prison Guard 2 (friend of Chris): Somebody’s got a crushhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Chris: Shush
Prison Guard 2: Cmonn, everyone knows about it by now
Chris: No they don't.
They sit down
Prison Guard 2: What was her name again- something beginning with N?
Chris (not loud): Shut up.
Prison Guard 2 (teasing): Don’t tell me to shut up, I have a higher rank than you.
Chris: Oh my god leave me alone.
Prison Guard 2 (teasing): You better tell me or I’ll get you on some extra dutyyyyyyyy
Chris: Actually shut up.
Prison Guard 2: No
Chris (shouts): I HAVE A CRUSH ON HER OKAY.
The whole room hears
The room gasps
Chris: sh*t (bleeped)
Comforting, not too evil. Soft voice and quite a high voice.
Main: I know who committed the murder.
Main gets out of the prison
Main meets Twilight in an alley.
Main puts a hand onto Twilight.
Twilight (Gasp): Wh-What are you doing here?
Main gets closer to Twilight
Main: You know exactly what I’m doing here.
Twilight: Ho-How are you here, how did you get out, wha- how?
Main: Aren’t you happy that I’m out?
Twilight: Y-Yes of course I’m happy you’re out, bu-but you’re going to get a longer sentence if they find you.
Main: They won’t find me if you don’t tell them.
Main gets close to Twilight
Twilight: Wha-What are you going to do to me?
Main: I wouldn’t do anything to you, but check your pockets.
Twilight checks their pockets. They gasp.
Twilight: Wha, where did you get my-
Main: Looking for this?
Twilight: G-Give that back right now.
Main: Or what? You can’t plot the fake evidence?
Twilight: How dare you accuse me of plotting evidence! I wasn’t plotting anything!
Main: You sure about that?
Twilight: Um, Look. What if I did kill our father so for the money, put you in jail so that I could take everything?
Main (gasps): H-How could you, how could you do such a thing?
Twilight: Because I have bigger dreams than you! I want more than you ever will. Morals don’t matter in my world, Cactus (place holder for Main). Because you will never be anything like me, and I’m going to get my money, get my life and you will stay tortured in that massive prison of yours. So make yourself home.
Main: Twilight, you’re my sister? H-How could you do such a thing.
Twilight (low growl): Because nice gets you nowhere, Cactus. You should know that by now.
Police Guard: Hands up!
