Hey Voice Actors!

We are a  two-member team of indie game developer from Germany & looking for a voice actor, who wants to be part of our next small indie game! Newcomer are also welcome.
You only need a good/high quality audio recording device, or a recording studio in which you can create the sounds we need. You should also know, how to use sound effects on your recordings.

Since we want to use the project in certain different ways, we're not able to tell so much about the game, officially. Here is what we can reveal now.

Language: English (no accent)
Facts: 3D, PC game, single player
Genre: serious game, survival horror (psychological horror)
(More info below & later for the voice actor we will take)

Your Job:
You will record some words & short phrases in a ghostlike whisper style, that is supposed to be the inner voice of the main character.
(Here is a short example of the background sound we will use, which your voice acting should sound similar to: https://audiojungle.net/item/ghost-voices/20753969   )
Therefore you will need to edit the sounds to the ghost style version afterwards.
This will be the only  speaking part, so this voice plays a really important role in the game.

What will you get?
Since we are student indie game developer, there wont be a payment, BUT you will be credited in the game, what gives you a really good reference and experience. You can use this for your demo reel
& in case we will win the contest in which we want to take part of, you will get 100$


Casting Call:
Send us a version of your ghostlike (inner voice) whisper style with own phrases + one version with only the following words/phrases:
"move", "hold on", "hide", "watch out"
Info: Make it sound like a good mix out of mysterious, omniscient voice & a slice of ghostly scary horror. Speak the words & phrases from a incomprehensible pronunciation to a clear one.

Listen to your very different and interesting auditions was really inspiring.
It wasn't easy to choose the one who will do the recordings with us for the game. So we've made another decision.
We've increased the voice acting part and decided to take two of you talents. So there will be two main parts in one, now.

After the announcement, you will all receive a link to the preview of the current state of the game (which is still in progress).

So, now the audition winnerrrrr!

  • Short Advise

    Hey Talents! Pretty nice auditions so far! Be careful not to overdo the volume or to record it too softly, so that it hits a good quality level. If so, just redo the audition to make sure, that it shows the perfect version of your voice acting. Aki
