In the Woods casting call
Project Overview

In the Woods is going to be a 5 minute (minimum) 2D animated Pilot episode for a student film project- I am both the animator and writer on this project.
In the woods will follow one of the main protagonists Jack Holloway, as he visits Ireland for the summer for a “better look at life” (his father’s words not his.). While staying with Tadgh- a family friend’s son- Jack makes friends and discovers massive paranormal happenings going on in the small town. With Irish mythology, kelpies, and a three year long mystery- Jack just wants to go home and sleep, he did not sign up for this.
Genre: Small town mystery, spooky, summer adventure
This casting will be held all throughout April and will be roughly animated/storyboarded while casting is going on. Finished animation will begin May and will be submitted at the end of that month.

A lead role
Jack is new to his environment in Ireland and it shows. He’s a sweetheart and loves to help his new friends, but he’s so tired and unsure.
Jack’s voice is monotonous yet curious, he always has an air of confusion around him.

a lead role
Akari has a warm and cheeky personality. She likes to talk back when given the chance and is good at it. Akari is a paranormal fanatic, it gets her in trouble a lot.
She has a bit of a raspiness to her voice and it always sounds like she’s keeping a laugh down.

A lead role
Tadgh is a closed off but very friendly hermit. He has this massive big brother energy and softness to him once he warms up to people, but there is an undertone of sadness and lonelines.
He has a deep and curious voice that has a warmness to it.
