Ill Will
Project Overview
Hi, everyone! This casting call is for our first visual novel Ill Will. This story takes place in a high school where a spirit carries out the ill wills of people in the school. Can you discover the spirit and stop their actions? Or will this story simply end in tragedy? This visual novel has already been released for the NaNoRenO 2021 game jam but we would like to create an updated version of the game with voice acting. This project has had a casting call prior, however one of our voice actors dropped out so we are looking to fulfill 2 character roles. The two characters are both supporting characters.
All roles are in the English language.
This is a free project as we do not have a budget.
Voice actors will be credited in the game’s ending credits, the game’s about section, the text file in the game’s folder, and on the game’s itch.io webpage.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is July 31st, 2021. This is not a hard deadline and it may be extended.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
We are in no rush, so please take your time and enjoy yourself! We don’t want anyone here to feel burdened or stressed out. However, the sooner you could get this done, the better it is for the project and all of us.
Since this project is a visual novel, all lines of dialogue must be recorded or arranged into separate files. Not every line of dialogue will be one sentence, some may be two or three sentences. All files will be sent over discord or to our email address.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a small, new game team called Frost Berry and this is our first game. We’ve done this visual novel in a month for the NaNoRenO 2021 game jam and had an amazing experience. We are looking forward to meeting new people and to participate in future game jams!

Ira is a dark, brooding character. He is quick to anger and is intense with his voice.
"She’s disgusting. A cheat. You don’t even deserve her."
(Ira's voice is full of hate.)"S-Someo-one… kill… t-this… monster..."
(Ira is on the ground clutching his stomach after being kicked multiple time, barely able to utter his lines.)"You don’t just… beat me and take the rest of my brother away from me… and LEAVE."
(Ira is enraged, screaming at another character.)
"I just enjoy the subject and want to pursue biology in the future."
(Lucidus is standing in front of the class, talking about a book the teacher referenced casually.)
"I didn't think it would last this long, but he's really been holding this grudge against me."
(Lucidus says this with a troubled expression, unsure what to do in this situation.)
"If they’re not after me, I’m not sure how much I can help you."
(Lucidus has a more serious tone, explaining a life or death situation.)
