Witches Are Idiots | Gacha Club Animated Series [CLOSED]
Project Overview
STORYLINE:
“Witches Are Idiots” follows the story of 7 different individuals going through their final years of Darling Witch & Wizard’s Academy. They’re all very unique and have their separate storylines.The crew is tired of society calling witches and wizards a disgrace and a danger to their world. So, they do what feels needs to be done and try to earn the trust of everyone to stop the unthinkable but possible. They go through portals and adventures to collect everyone they need to stop everything from going wrong.”

I created a draft for this upcoming Gacha series in Christmas 2019 and I will finally be able to bring it to life! Witches Are Idiots is a series where it is kind of like a school anime (kind of like little witch academia but my twist), yet it still can send the right messages without actually harming anyone. Of course, the setting isn’t only the school, the portal realms and the anime world but we also get to see “their reality” and how everyone judges or perseveres one another. The series deals with LGBTQ+ struggles without making the characters ONLY personality being LGBTQ+. It also deals with mental health, social struggles, and many more! The main purpose isn’t only dealing with these problems but also showcasing fun moments between the characters, as well as they all have their unique personalities and storylines.

How Many Episodes Will This Series Have?
I plan to make at least 5-7 episodes for the first season and possibly a second if the series gets received well.
How Many Leads Will Be Needed?
I will need around 6-8 leads alongside many supporting roles.
Is Discord Required? What if I don’t have it?
Discord is a requirement. If you are unable to have it, then I’m sorry but I will unable to work with you as communication would be too difficult. Unless you can provide an email or you send me your auditions through CCC. Twitter or Instagram isn’t available for my internet unfortunately.
Is The Script Finished?
By the time I have my team filled, that's probably when the 1st-2nd episodes will be done with scripting. So, you will receive what you‘ll be needed for voice acting/art/animation when you’re hired.
Note: The series won’t only be animated, but some episodes will also be drawn in an anime style and references to popular anime’s.

Our lovely anti-hero and semi-antagonist, The Rabbit. The Rabbit does not have a Gacha character as they will be hand-drawn instead alongside with a few of the other characters for a reason. Their tone may come off as creepy, but quite mature and serious.
Personality: Condescending, serious and quite entertaining.

Adam is like the cool tall guy down the hall who would give you cookies then tell you about his shower thoughts. He serves in the Wix’s student council and takes the role of being Head of Public Relations. He organizes and handles all public relation events on behalf of the Council. Cecilia and him have been close friends since they were eight and are always happy to have each other’s company. Adam understands that Cece isn’t always fond of communicating with others but he’ll always be there for her no matter what happens. Both of them have never once seen each other as future romantic partners, more as buddies per say.

🌩 - Emilia is what most goth girls/witches would like to be like. She’s clever, adores frog, sympathetic and very chill. She doesn’t practice black magic or anything, she’s just a witch who happens to be goth. As she does have her own fair share of flaws, she takes accountability and tries to fix her mistakes. Close friends with Charlotte and Mari.

Andrew is the faithful rabbit that helps around the Academy. He’s actually very powerful compared to his peers. However, he doesn’t really use his magic unless it’s to protect people. He tends to help Charlotte around with her mechanical issues yet they still keep a close friendship.
Personality: Quick-witted, charming and nice.

Mia is the barista that works in the humans cafe. She’s half human and half-witch. She goes to the same school as the rest of our main characters do and she plays a semi-main role. She’s one of the only few witches who can disguise themselves in the human realm. Charlotte and her are quite close friends and they have a good trust bond.

Personality: Sweet and hard-working. Very kind, but absolutely terrifying if you dare to mess with her.

Mari is the school’s Gardner. She makes sure her plants are healthy and under control. She’s a supporting character as she also helps the crew with opening portals and such. Emilia and her have known each other since they were in primary-training so she’ll always be there for them.
Personality: Kind-Hearted, bubbly and clever.
Accent: She was raised in England by her two mothers, so she requires an English accent.

Zuko is the Potions and Music teacher. They take their job very seriously but still is very kind. They’re the only teacher that doesn’t play favorites because they actually understand how harmful it can be to a student. They are happily married to their spouse, Adrianna.
Personality: Strict, sympathetic and charming.
Vocal Range: Zuko sounds a bit feminine but also gender-neutral. Medium.
Happy: [neutral] It’s alright to be sometimes down on yourself, everyone is. But constantly degrading yourself for mistakes you make is not gonna magically fix that.
Sad: It’s truly a tragedy..

Emily is the younger sister of Emilia. She plays a minor role in majority of the episodes. However, she has a leading role in more of the side story episodes. Both her and Emilia have a healthy friendship and don’t find that very often. She’s currently learning to become strong as her family’s expectations are.
Personality: Hyper, scared-easily, and competitive when she needs to be.

I’ll need around 3-5 storyboard artists to help me with the episodes, creating scenes and such.
