I Sold My Soul to the Theatre (Minecraft Machinima)
Project Overview
Gravity Johnson gets into trouble. A lot. So when she drops out of Ravenwood Academy, her mother sends her to a school for the arts, claiming it will "help you focus on your musical career and keep you out of trouble." The thing is, Gravity doesn't want to be a musician. She doesn't know what she wants to do with her life, but she knows that she doesn't want to be controlled by her mother. Eventually she gets put into the Theatre Pathway: a supposed last resort for students who don't fit into any of the other boxes. But there's something different about this pathway...the students within it are cursed as soon as they sign on the line. We follow Gravity through a year with them, making friends, putting on fantastic shows, and even finding some romance. But that can't last for long...
I Sold My Soul to the Theatre has been a passion project of mine that I've been wanting to do for a long time. These characters have gone through so many transformations and I can't wait to see what voices you all will give them!
-This is a LONG TERM PROJECT, with at least TWO SEASONS. Please keep that in mind when auditioning.
-While this is the first time I've directed and produced a Minecraft Machinima, I have worked on many before and this project will be treated PROFESSIONALLY.
-You MUST be over the age of 13 and MUST have discord. I would prefer 15-16 and up since we have a range of ages on the server already.
-If you are a body actor, you must be able to run Java edition Minecraft with mods. There is a modpack.
-This is the second round of auditions. These characters are main-supporting cast characters.
-PLEASE be able to meet deadlines. There will be hard deadlines and if you cannot meet them, then you will be recast.
I am really excited to work with you guys!! This is something I have been wanting to do ever since I was 11 and watching old Aphmau Roleplay videos. And one last thing; this story is based around real life things that I have experienced and people and what not. Keep that in mind when auditioning. I hope to work with you soon!

A counselor at the school. She’s a mentor and protective figure for the theatre pathway, being the only other adult who knows about the curse. She has a mid-low voice.

Eliza is Gravity’s mom. She is clueless when it comes to her kid, but is very controlling nonetheless. She is a musical talent agent and that takes up a lot of her time. She wants Gravity to be a musician, to do what she couldn’t do in the musical industry. She has a mid-low voice.

Adrian is the tired theatre teacher. When they look for him, it’s like he disappears into a pocket dimension and pops up at random around the theatre and the school. He didn’t really want to be a theatre teacher, he wanted to be a philosophy professor, but here he is. The curse doesn’t seem to affect Adrian at first glance, but on closer inspection he has a slight aura about him and a glow to his eyes. Adrian wears clothing akin to an over the top and slightly slutty philosophy professor. His hair falls in his face a lot, so he usually ties it back in a messy ponytail or bun depending on the mood.

Ah yes, I have the email from Ms. Sanchez telling me that you would be arriving soon. Please come in, there’s an open seat next to Daniel up here at the front. My name is Adrian Harvey, you can call me Mr. Harvey or Adrian if you like. We don’t really do formalities in this pathway.

Tia is a little unhinged. She’s in the theatre pathway, on the college cheer team, on student council, in the school’s honors society, is a delegate between the college and the high school, and is in the AV club. She seems like an airhead, constantly “adopting” the younger theatre pathway kids and what not, but she’s extremely smart. The curse makes her have angel wings most of the time, but when she loses her temper they slowly turn into scaly dragon wings and her teeth start getting sharper and longer. She’s dating Alex and they have a very sweet relationship. Tia is pansexual and wears a lavender cardigan, white shirt, pink skirt, and black leggings. Her hair is brown with a light purple strip. She has a medium-high voice

Alex is a chill guy. Him and Tia met via cheer and Tia has always been super supportive of him. He’s one of the wisest members of the theatre pathway. He doesn’t like being involved with drama. The curse gives him little bear ears, tail, and elongated bear claws (not sharp, unless he wants them to be). Alex wears a long coat with the sleeves rolled up, black ripped jeans, a shirt with a band logo, and some fingerless gloves. He has short but shaggy hair that he usually has the front part up in a small ponytail. He is trans masc and he is black. He has a mid-low voice.

Annerose is one of Gravity’s childhood friends. She’s a little hot headed, always the one to stand up for her brother, James. Annerose and James are twins, and are complete opposites. Annerose is the type to egg you on, laugh when you mess up, and then make sure you’re okay. All in all, she’s a good friend, but she can overstep some boundaries and lash out when she feels like she’s being screwed over. Annerose and Madison are dating. Annerose is not in the theatre pathway. Annerose is a lesbian and wears a cropped black hoodie, high waisted ripped jeans, and a black and white checkered belt. She has short cropped bright pink hair. She has a middle level voice.

Madison is tall and quiet. She is very wise beyond her years too. She is also one of Gravity’s childhood friends. Madison was the one in the group to warn them against doing whatever stupid thing they were about to do, and then just sigh when one or all of them would get hurt. Madison is not in the theatre pathway. Madison is a lesbian and wears a black victorian-esque sheer shirt with a corset, a black skirt, black and gray striped leg warmers, and chunky black high heeled boots. She has long, black hair that has fades of red and green. She has a mid-low voice.

Hiroto tends to keep to himself. He’s on the quieter side, but pays attention to everything and everyone. He keeps track of relationships between people very well and is the go to guy for advice. He is gay. He has a mid-high voice.

It’s not easy. Sometimes I feel like I’m alone. People always confide in me, but it can feel like no one wants to hear from me. Then there’s Manny. He actually listens to me and is there for me. He understands me, no matter how much of an idiot he can be at times.

A little bit of a wild child, but very sweet and kind. He likes sweets and he unintentionally fans the flames in social situations. He is bisexual. He has a middle level voice.

She is straight. She has a high voice.
