Humanity's King (A Medieval Minecraft Machinima Series)
Project Overview
SUMMARY
The Series is called Humanity's King. A three season project.
Following a young prince named Riley, his sister, and his best friend. He is only a kid, still as childish as one can be living out his childhood like any kid should.
Till that all comes crashing down, his mother dying under mysterious circumstances. Being informed his father was traitorous after having him killed right in front of him. Riley's father was sent a threat, the rest of the royal family dead or war.
A neighboring kingdom's prince had died within their walls, the grieving king blinded by the loss resorted to anger despite the royal family having nothing to do with it. Taking it out on them.
Being crowned king Riley would be forced to grow up in such a harsh environment, forced to lose what childish innocence he had, forced to carry the weight of the entire kingdom on his back, forced to fight in war. His best friend still oblivious as ever, happily following him into war in an attempt to cheer him up. Unaware of the horrors that lay ahead. His sister growing distant with the sudden loss, still grieving.
This is only the beginning of the story.
Humanity's King has a lot of representation in it, not only poc and LGBTQA but also mental illness. Portraying it as the monster it truly is.

Have at least an OKAY mic, it can be a little iffy but we need to be able to hear you and not have a ton of background noise.
We are open to newbie voice actors!
There is SOME profanity. They don't curse like sailors.
Keep in mind when applying for the main cast, unless you have a wide vocal range there are three seasons. This mainly goes for Season 1 and 2, there is a time skip between the two. Most of the main cast is 13-14 season one and ends up being 16 in season 2, therefore auditions for them will most likely open again because there is a significant change in their voices.
Trailer will most likely be redone to properly credit VA that have taken position of those who have previously stepped down from the role and to show an official date once episode one is finished. Also fixing the slight generation loss and overall better quality. Previous VA will still remain in description as honorary mentions.

Riley in season one sounds rather young. As expected from a fourteen year old boy. A little cracky or raspy, also expected from a fourteen year old boy.
Struggling to live up to expectations and constantly being put under pressure Riley easily cracks. Faltering. Being just a boy he searches for the love of others, just wishing to be enough for others. Growing severely attached to those he has around him.
His role requires at least some emotional range. Being a rather emotional person at times.

(Dismissive)"They're a royal guard, knight, whatever they are."
(Scared + Guilty)"Hey, hey, hey, look at me. Look at me. Olivia, please, please, I'm so sorry!"
Ori is a ambitious and childish towns-kid who grew to know the prince when they were merely ten years old, now being thirteen and following him out to war only to truly understand how horrible the world is. Slowly starting to develop visual and auditory hallucinations while their paranoia and fear worsens as time goes on.

[Excited] "Common! Live a little!"
[Dismissive/Sheepishly] "I uh, I don't know. I can't remember what happened."
He or "it" is not real. Merely the auditory and visual hallucinations that haunt Ori starting mid season 1. Slowly worsening overtime till it starts to eat away at that hopeful and playful demeanor he holds so tightly.
The way this is portrayed in some scenarios is far from the theme Humanity's King shows. Sometimes being shown in an animatic scenario to truly portray the horror it is and the weight of it all.
It has a scratchy voice, almost always dull and lifeless. Making the very few times it may speak with emotion memorable
Still human it may be, it's mannerism is what truly haunts.
You do not have to lower your voice or try and sound ominous at all. Again, it's only human. The portrayal wants it to seem as human as possible, enough to believe that this voice is just any other guy. While the character is seeing it as the opposite. A monster.

Olivia being Riley's brother struggles with her own confidence despite often being looked up to. Suffering from the immense pressure of trying to mentor and protect her little brother while still trying to be a kid herself.

Garret is a young royal-knight. Given the duty to protect royalty. Being trained since early boy-hood for this role he is skilled in doing exactly what he was conditioned to be. A protector. And a killer. Numb to the violence around him.

(Slightly irritated)"They shouldn't be out here, yet insist. They're only sheep to a wolf, they'll be slaughtered like the rest of them."

Anais being the mother of Riley and Olivia spends most of her time sorting issues sign her husband Jessie. Though still accommodating for her childrens needs she is a little stressed out and wary.

(No tone) "No. I was actually thinking of teaching him how to play the piano."
(Mildly irritated) "Be more gentle with your brother. He's.. fragile."
Bay is a teen cadet, pretty average in all aspects. A little snarky and grumpy at times. Unaware of what they were getting themselves in for when joining the war.

(Slightly irritated) "No I haven't, but the general won't get off my ass about it."
(Numb/Shocked) "I don't know, I don't think Rowan made it. It was.. It was very chaotic and I think he was caught in the fire."
Rowan is a hot headed and defensive cadet. No preference in voice.

(Slightly bragging) "Nah, my big brother was apart of the cadets for awhile before leaving. He said it was too brutal, what a pussy this is easy."
(Serious) "Don't you dare touch me with that I'll be fine."
August is a cadet with a good heart. Unable to accept to harsh reality of war and constantly going against it until it comes back to stab them in the back.

(Nervous) "No, I just feel like what we're doing is a little wrong. I mean those people didn't ask to go to war did they? Well, at least not all of them. Right?"
(Shocked) "Are you kidding me? You didn't actually kill him did you?"
(Casual) "Yeah, I'll get to that later. I have a lot on my plate right now."
Blue is a stubborn teenager that is easily offended. Being rather spoiled they tend to expect the highest from everybody else around them, though they joined the cadets unaware of the harsh treatment it would give them.

(slightly irritated/teasing) "Buzz off! It's not like having some fun is gonna hurt!"
(Numb/Nervous) "I uh, I don't think.. I don't think I want to be apart of the cadets anymore."
Spencer is a overly serious adult unable to see any good in the world. Forever corrupted by the red lenses he sees the world through.

(Slightly unnerved) "Get the general. We need him."
(Pissed) "Go on, I want to see you try and swing a sword correctly."
Bailey only wishes to get by in life, trying to make it better for those who fall in the same line they did once they were younger.

(Casual) "Tsh, course not. I'm not here because I wanted to do good fighting for this kingdom. Who do you think I am? Just trying to get by."
(Teasing) "Wa wa wa, all I'm hearing is complaining! That's not gonna help you get better at archery is it?"
Otto is a bitter warrior seemingly always in a bad mood.

(Aggressive) "If you are not going to take this seriously you'll end up dead like the rest of them."
(Neutral) "Blue! Get your ass over here."
Boris is just a servant wishing to keep his terror of a child under control while he does his job.

(Apologetic) "Sorry your majesty. I've been a bit ill for the past couple of days, I'll make sure to be quicker."
(Disappointed) "Are you serious with me? Causing such a fuss? You know they are already being so nice by letting me take you to work."
(Numb) "Right. We have a letter for you, regarding the Reverian Kingdom."
Autumn is a perfectionist servant who seems to care more about keeping things clean than actually having them be usable to those she cleaned them for.

(Commanding) "Drop it! I don't want to even see you touching that I just cleaned it!"
(Neutral) "Would you like some tea? Or possibly water? I haven't seen you drink much."
Junior is just a guy that got this job as a servant out of pure luck. Might aswell have fun while doing your job, right?

(Tired) "Autumn it's the damn floor you can't avoid walking on it can you? Give me a break."
(Surprised) "Bloody hell, it's a mess in here! If you're father didn't put your room up a set of ladders Autumn would be here 24/7 trying to keep it clean!"
(Casual) "Oh of course not, the only thing I've done the past week was dust some vases."
