House of X (X-Men) Comic Dub - Round 4 Casting
Project Overview
Hi Everyone!
This project will be a comic dub of the House of X/Dawn of X series. I would like to continue this series throughout the Dawn of X run so I ask that if you audition, you are interested in a long term project! These comic dubs will be uploaded to youtube.
Due to the need of many characters throughout the series, I am casting now for the 2nd and 3rd issues of the Powers of X. Description of the 3rd issue below:
“The Uncanny Life of Moira X” is one of the most radical X-Men comics ever in terms of the magnitude of the retcon being introduced and its implications for all future X-Men comics, but it’s also a bold narrative move so early in Jonathan Hickman’s tenure as the lead writer of the franchise. After two issues of setting up several major plots across four time periods, he’s stepping back from all that to focus on the origin story of Moira MacTaggert, a supporting character who was killed off nearly 20 years ago. Moira – a brilliant scientist and former lover of both Charles Xavier and Banshee – was always understood to be a human ally of the X-Men. In this issue we learn the truth: She’s a mutant with the power of reincarnation, and the Moira that we have known all along – and the Moira who appeared in Powers of X #1 last week – is the tenth Moira. It’s not an X, it’s a 10.
The issue tells the story of Moira’s many lives, and how living through different timelines gradually radicalized her and set her up for her proposition to Charles Xavier in her tenth life, which she has been led to believe could be her last. Much of the story deals with Moira’s learning curve in figuring out what to do with her extraordinary circumstances – she spends much of her second life coming to grips with the odd experience of reliving your life from the start, and what happens when she deliberately changes events.

Cursed with a berserker fury, the violent mutant known as Wolverine has a reputation of both as an outstanding super hero and as a lethal killer. Born as James Howlett to a wealthy Canadian family at the end of the 19th century, he was forced to abandon his family after the tragic manifestation of his bestial abilities of accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses and bone claws in each hand. Adopting the name Logan, he wandered the world, living a long life filled with blood, war and betrayal, having vile Sabretooth as his archenemy, and the Japanese warrior Ogun as his sensei. Unfortunately, by acting as a lone wolf, Logan was an unwitting subject of the Weapon X Program and had his bones coated in indestructible Adamantium, becoming an even more lethal asset. Rescued and assisted by Mac and Heather Hudson, he joined Department H as a Canadian government operative known as the Wolverine.
Later, Logan was invited by Charles Xavier to join the X-Men, a team of heroes fighting for peace between humans and mutants. Proving to be a challenging addition to the X-Men due to his aggressive behavior, Wolverine was constantly in conflict with his fellow teammate Cyclops. However, he has gradually grown fond of the X-Men, considering them to be his new family. As a recurrent member of the X-Men, Wolverine has also become a noteworthy member of the Avengers. Moreover, he has been tasked to run the secret mutant strike team known as X-Force to protect mutantkind's interests by employing lethal force. Wolverine was also responsible for reforming the Jean Grey School after parting ways with Cyclops and leading his own faction of X-Men.
When all mutantkind was granted asylum by Professor Xavier on the mutant-exclusive nation of Krakoa, Wolverine was one of the first of its residents.Although currently suspicious of the cost of this apparent safe place for mutants,Wolverine still works as the field leader of X-Force, which evolved as an intelligence organization in charge of special operations to counter-attack assaults against Krakoa.

Well. That's too bad. They were both good soldiers. Question is, did they die for nothing? Or was it worth it?
We'll have to fight our way in - hold them off while we get the thing - and then fight our way out. It's a suicide mission. You understand that, right?
The Librarian was a member of the Man-Machine Ascendancy, the regime that arose to fight mutantkind during the Human-Machine-Mutant War which saw the rise of Homo novissima, successors of humanity, and the near-extinction of mutantkind. The Librarian kept the few remaining mutants in a Preserve.
Once the Homo novissima prepared to assimilate with the Phalanx, uploading their consciousnesses into the Phalanx hiveminds at the cost of the destruction of the Earth, the Librarian began to have second thoughts as to whether "life" as part of a machine consciousness was desirable.
He visited Moira, one of the last remaining mutants, in his Preserve and informed her of what was to occur, contemplating whether or not to kill her and reset the timeline or go through with his plans and arrange for her to taken off-world while he merged with the Phalanx, preserving his knowledge forever. While taunting Moira, he told her that mutantkind had been blind to the rise of the Homo novissima as they had been focused on the Sentinels, who had only existed to buy mankind time to master technology and its own evolution, allowing them to surpass mutantkind.

We are losing them... and there's nothing I can do to prevent it.
Are we done with them? Can we ever really be done with the past? After all, that's what a legacy is...
It's no one's fault, Nimrod.
Visually impaired from birth, Irene Adler was born to a wealthy family in Salzburg, Austria in the mid-to-late 19th century. Her precognitive powers activated when she was thirteen. To cope with the nearly overwhelming visions, she transcribed what she saw into a series of diaries over the next thirteen months. By the time she was finished, she was completely physically blind.
A few years later, Irene hired Raven Darkhölme, a consulting detective, to help her make sense of her diaries. The two found that they shared a desire to use their powers to change the world. Not long afterward, they became lovers. Although the pair deeply cared for one another, they parted periodically, took up other lovers, and even raised separate families
Destiny, leader of the Brotherhood, interrogated Moira. She warned her that if she ever moved against mutantkind in any of her future lives, Destiny would see it coming and stop her, just as she would if Moira tried to kill her. She told Moira her only path forward was to embrace mutantkind and use her talents for her species' betterment. She also told her she would live at most 10 or 11 lives, depending on her choices. To ensure Moira remembered what she had told her, she ordered Pyro to slowly burn her to death.

I can see the world bending around her - the edges of change rippling out - but she is just... an absence. A hole where there shouldn't be one.
Listen to me, Child. My mutant name is Destiny, and I have the power to see the future.
Such a gift, knowledge. And yet here you are, using it to betray your own kind.
St. John Allerdyce is an Australian mutant born in Sydney. Though his powers manifested at puberty, he did not make use of them for years save for emergencies. Unable to employ his abilities for profit, Allerdyce drifted from job to job, until he became a journalist for an Australian wire service, covering Vietnam and Indonesia. His experiences and travels inspired him to start writing novels (though he also wrote torrid romances). Although Allerdyce's novels were despised by renowned novelists and critics, he found a wide readership throughout the English-speaking world. Eventually, under unrevealed circumstances, Allerdyce met the mutant known Mystique and joined her rebranded version of the terrorist Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, under the name of Pyro, the man who controls the living flame.
When mutantkind relocated to the mutant island-nation of Krakoa, Charles Xavier developed a process to allow mutant resurrection. Pyro was one of the first mutants to be brought back to life, being part of the early experimentations with the protocols. Upon learning he served as a guinea pig, he planned to steal a boat and cause trouble. He inadvertently infiltrated Kate Pryde's ship and fell asleep, which caused him to be drafted into the new Marauders by Storm's invitation. Pyro assisted the Marauders in defending a gate to Krakoa from a group of Russian soldiers and teamed up with Lockheed to defeat the attackers.

Wear a sheet and get beat, ya racist clowns!
They just whip knives at each other's faces. No wonder the Brotherhood never finished off the X-men.
AH HA HA HA!
Abandoned as an infant due to his gray and blue skin, Apocalypse was found and raised by a deadly band of raiders, who gave him the name “En Sabah Nur”. Growing up as a fierce warrior, he adopted the philosophy that only the strongest survive, while the weak are destined to perish. Eventually, En Sabah Nur took the name “Apocalypse” and became a conqueror, waging war against the pharaoh Rama-Tut.
At some point during his ancient conquests, Apocalypse found his way to the living island of Okkara — the predecessor of Krakoa, which the X-Men have called home since 2019. He even had a wife, Genesis, with whom he had four children: the original Horsemen of Apocalypse. However, once Okkara was torn asunder by invaders from the hellish dimension of Amenth, Apocalypse stayed behind on Earth while his family departed to hold back the Amenthi forces. Genesis left her husband with a single request: to act as the judge of mutantkind, guiding them until they became strong enough to defeat Amenth once and for all.

Comfortable is an... inadequate word, but yes, I am comfortable. Krakoa knows me, and I, Krakoa.
For centuries, I have fostered war and conflict, in all the hopes of mutantdom finally asserting dominance over this world.
And should forever end, let me die in battle, surrounded by my fallen enemies and with blood on my sword.

Of course not, Nimrod.

No, really, I'd rather you keep talking to yourself.
I apologize. It's been a costly day... and I'm tired.
