Hotarubi No Mori E (FANDUB)
Project Overview
This was always one of my favorite short animated films and I was dissapointed to see there wasn't a dub for this sweet tale so I decided to put this together. If you haven't seen "Hotarubi No Mori E" I highly recommend you watch it on Youtube.
It is about a young girl who gets stuck in a Spirit forest and encounters a mysterious white haired male who leads her back out. From then, they keep meeting up and playing wih each other, talking, and get closer. I won't spoil anything but it's very good with great character developement, music, and animation.
Guidelines:
-Have a decent mic. (Doesn't have to be professional but please make sure there are no background noises.)
-When the audition line calls for you to yell, please yell. You will be more likely to be casted this way.
-Put emotion into your audition and recreate the feels this film made me and many others go through.
-Have fun with it, even if you don't make it.
I will type the translations and scripts for those who are scripted. You will not be rushed to complete them. Any other information will be given out afterwards.

He is a minor character but has a good amount of lines. Make his voice sound like any old-ish man around his 50's.
"Oh, the mountain god's forest.."
"We were so stupid back then."
"On summer nights, you could hear the river coming from the forest."
Cute, innocent voice with energy to it. Doesn't mean it has to be high-pitched. She does a lot of yelling.

(Relieved/Crying) "A human! Thank goodness, I'm saved!"
(Happy) "Thank you!! Ah!-" (Gets hit)
"Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with a thank you present! Goodbye!"
Gin is a laid back and caring character. He is almost the opposite of Hotaru, who is more spunky and energetic. His voice should be smooth and calm.

(Explaining) "If I don't wear this mask, I wouldn't look like a spirit."
(Sadly/disappointed) "It's okay if you forget about me. A body that's maintained by magic is very weak. If it touches a real human body, the spell will break and the body will disappear. It's a fragile thing. How long can you-" (Interupted)
(Teasingly/Lighthearted) "It IS a date."
Low voices that are ominous and mysterious.
Low
(Gently/Sadly) "Hotaru. Thank you. We wanted to be with Gin forever, but... Gin wanted to touch a human. He finally got to be hugged by a human."
(Scary) "Is that a human child? Can I eat it?"
(Warning her) "Don't touch Gin alright?"
More grown up voice but with energy and sound like a youthful teen. She will have many thoughtful and fun lines.

(Sad/Thoughtful) "Gin, I thought of you during winter. Even during autumn and spring. Gin, don't forget about me."
(Sadly/Distant) "Time might separate us some day. But, even still, until then, let's stay together."
(Emotionally) "I probably won't be able to look forward to summer for a long time. My chest will hurt. My tears will be overflowing. But this warmth in my hands and these summer memories will live on in my heart."
