Homeward (a Minecraft cinematic)
Project Overview
Summary:
Homeward follows three friends as they try to end a war they started. They struggle in a new, dangerous (medieval) world and their friendships and loyalty are put on the line. They must go through unstable islands, boating explorations, bounty hunters, and war. They need to get home, but can all three of them make it back together?
This is a Vanilla Roleplay series (very little mods) that will be posted to YouTube. We are striving to create our own "vibe" of Minecraft Roleplays, and you can be part of that! If you wish to partake in this project, you must have MINECRAFT JAVA! Please take note of your auditioned role in case that role requires good video recording.
General:
- everything is done in ENGLISH
- this is for ACT 1 of the series
- you will be given your rightful credit at the end of every episode (you will decide how you want it shared)
- we are relatively flexible with timezones (we are USA EST centered)
- we meet over voice chat (Discord) at least once a week
- this will likely take a full year to finish recording all the episodes (mainly for main characters)
- there will be tabletop reads/playthroughs before actual recordings
- you may be asked for additional lines
- for supporting roles, you may not act right away (please be patient with us)
- we are here to have fun and support each other!

An older teen, around 16 years of age. Compared to the men in his age range, he has a deeper voice and speaks with confidence and vigor. His burdens are carried silently on his back as he protects his friends, and his speech and vocal patterns reflect this.

A chipper young man, a little younger than Celo. He’s always eager to help his friends, but can be quiet around those he doesn't trust. Generally, an all around friendly guy.

The eldest of the Dread Knight creed. He is the closest to Valoren’s age, being 24. He is dedicated to the cause he serves, and his deep voice sparks morale into his allies and fear into his enemies. He is a fierce but fair man.

The second oldest Dread Knight. His brilliance is unmatched compared to his brothers and sisters, and he knows it. His ego is his greatest weakness, and believes everyone to be beneath him. His speech is very serpent-like. Low and seductive, almost a snarl, but not quite. He is arguably the most twisted of the Dread Knights, and will not hesitate to kill to achieve victory.

The fourth oldest Dread Knight. Discipline and integrity are the most important attributes to Nukan. His training and mastery of all forms of combat puts him at the top of the knights in the arena, but puts him at the bottom in everything else. He lacks critical communication skills and social awareness in favor of his excelling strength and cunning tactics. His voice is strong but less mature. A voice of a younger man with passion, but without the knowledge to convey it.

The third oldest Dread Knight. As she came of age, she took the mantle of warrior to protect the only living family member she had left, her brother Nukan. She carries the burden of protecting the one thing she has left with her, silently carrying out whatever missions she is tasked with. A determined soul, protecting her family’s legacy wherever she goes. She does not fight, she does not quarrel, nor does she waste time with things for self-pleasure. The only thing that matters is her brother’s safety. She doesn’t speak often, but when she does, a soft, comforting voice breaks the silence, if only for a moment.

The youngest Dread Knight. Only 16 years old, this young girl trains to become the warrior her siblings want her to be. She stresses with study, combat training, and tactical learning. With all the tasks given to her and the insurmountable expectations, she finds happiness in small growths. Day by day, she grows stronger, even if they mean nothing. Her voice is quiet. She is calm, collected. She continues to impress even Valoren with her feats, and is prepared to fill his shoes if he dies.

Then we sneak onto the island to use Valoren’s inventions. Use a diversion and get him on the other side of the island.
