High School Musical - Comic Dubs
Project Overview
EDIT 9/3/19 - Apologies, I had to deal with a lot of stuff the past seven or eight months, family losses and other serious stuff. I now have time to continue the project, and so everything is back on schedule! I'll now be catching up with all the fantastic auditions the lovely people here have left and adding more characters, thank you for that!! :)

For those wondering, these are official comics, already completed and released, so the only delay from recording to upload will be editing. There are eight issues of the comic; six in the main storyline, and two extra "special" shorter issues that I intend on doing. Ironically, there's no singing in the comics, so no need to worry about that.
I'll be listing the characters in terms of importance to the story, just so you know what you're getting into. After I have everyone casted, I'll work on sending off digital copies of the first issue (plus a script with everyone's lines in it, because the format of the comic can be a bit confusing at times) and editing and all that jazz.
For contacts, I have Discord and Gmail; you're likely to get a quicker response via Discord, although I do check my email fairly regularly. Hoping to post the video for the first issue in April, at the latest.
As for the voices, I'm not expecting perfection or anything silly like that. It's just a fun project I'm doing out of love. For more prominent parts (e.g. Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan), sounding somewhat like the original actor/actress is definitely a plus; but again, not something I'm directly demanding. As is with most projects, the higher quality the mic, the better, but I'm not too worried about it.

Gabriella is the sweet, new girl at East High. She is known for being one of the smartest girls at East High, even taking college courses at Stanford University before finishing high school; for her musical talent, such as in the musicals with Troy and just singing in general; and for being the girlfriend of the popular basketball star of East High, Troy Bolton. She's one of the six main characters.
For Gabriella, I'm looking for someone sweet, but not forcefully so; she has a distinct laugh (which is in the audio clip linked above), but if laughing isn't your thing or whatever the case, we can always work around it. Something similar to Vanessa would be ideal, but not mandatory.

Sharpay Evans is the main antagonist in the trilogy, often plotting against Troy and Gabriella's rise to popularity with her brother, Ryan.
Underneath the Queen of Queens facade, she is just a dreamer. Sharpay has been working towards becoming a star since birth. Out of all the classmates at East High, Sharpay and Ryan were the only two who actually yearned for a career in acting, rather than just starring in a play for a hobby.
As for Sharpay's voice, obviously she goes from sweet to nasty in a second, so someone well versed in intense mood changes would be great. She also has a distinct scream, but I can't recall if she ever screams within the comics; if you can't do it, I can always use clips from the original films, it's not a make or break thing. She also gets angry quite a bit, which you can hear towards the end of the sampled audio.
[sweet] Oh, hi Troy! When's the big basketball game? ...Oh, last week? Well, with all the performances I do, it's pretty hard to keep up with others.
[rude] I don't have time for people like you, between my musicals and running the drama department.
[nastily] Look, I don't know what they're up to, and that's why I have you, so get to the bottom of this... [sweetly] for me?

Chad Danforth is one of the main characters. He is the best friend, co-captain and fellow basketball teammate of Troy Bolton.
Not looking for anything super specific with Chad, other than something sounding somewhat similar to the original. He screams the whole "WHAT TEAM?? WILDCATS" thing quite a lot in the films (which is included in the audio clip), and I assume in the comics as well, so I'm gonna say that's a requirement.
Look, Troy. You're our captain, and whether you like it or not, we need you for this.
What is it with that Evans girl? She treats everyone like her subjects, and drags her brother around like a dog.

Taylor McKessie is one of the six main characters of the High School Musical series. Taylor is the best friend of Gabriella Montez, and also captain of the East High Scholastic Decathlon Team.
Just like with Chad, not looking for anything incredibly specific, just something similar to the original.
Listen, just because Troy's a nice guy doesn't mean he's immune to boy disease.
Troy, do I look like Gabriella? If you need to talk to her, just do it, don't come to me.

Ryan Evans is one of the main characters of High School Musical. He's co-president of the Drama Club with his fraternal twin sister Sharpay, with whom he's co-starred in seventeen school productions to date.
As with all the others, just looking for something similar but doesn't have to be identical.
Sharpay, no matter how hard you try, you're never going to be Gabriella.
Sis, relax. We've got the pool, the entire club, and the whole summer to enjoy it.
