A Weekly Short Sci-Fi Comedy Series (Unpaid)
Project Description: Short form sci-fi comedy podcast/audio drama called Hello Earthling.
Concept:
A low-ranking HVAC mechanic (Elmer) wakes from cryosleep as the only human left on a deep space ship. The ship’s AI has been taken over by a polite alien parasite (Max) who is now stuck in the system's AI core. Every week, they send increasingly unhinged voicemail messages to random Earth phones. Think short, silly, and character driven with lore drops and reoccurring gags spread throughout. Episode Length will be around 3 or 4 minutes each.
Release Schedule:
One episode per week (Friday)
Roles Needed:
Elmer Walton (Lead) (FILLED)
Late 20s to 30s Southern/American country accent
Grouchy, paranoid, blue collar everyman with loads of chaotic energy
Lots of rambling, conspiracy style rants
Max (Lead) (FILLED)
Calm, polite, slightly British/AI voice
Dry humor, patient, and gently long suffering
Benevolent alien parasite stuck in the ship’s AI core
Magi (Lead) (OPEN/FUTURE ROLE)
No spoilers, but need a female lead for Season Two (Season One is already written and recordings are in progress)

Remote recording (you record your lines and send files)
Episodes are short, so time commitment is very manageable
Ongoing series; I'm looking for consistent actors who want to grow with the characters

I'll be up front, this is my first time attempting an audio production, so I'll be learning as I go, production wise. Season One scripts/storyline are complete and both main characters are being recorded. I still need female extras and a female lead for next season.
Again, this is a passion project, but I promise you'll love the characters and storyline.

Great news!!! Both lead roles (Max and Elmer) have been cast! Very exciting. We are finalizing Season One's story arc, retooling scripts, drafting a couple scripts for the remaining episodes, and polishing things up before we begin recording. Stay tuned, Earthlings!!!
