Project Overview

HELL ABOVE.

Hell Above is a small Minecraft cinematic series that branches off from a Minecraft Multiplayer roleplay series I participate in. Being inspired to not only write an entire novel in the past that is also currently being adapted into a cinematic series but generally continue in other smaller projects such as this.

 

While this story starts out fairly simple it follows our two protagonists. Brennan and Bee. Within a fantasy world that takes on a more medieval-ish tone world. Estimated to be 5-10 episodes long. A short series.


Brennan, the protagonist we're first introduced to. Is under the pressure to make himself useful as a group he's been traveling with settles down in a town and struggle to pay for shelter. Chosing to go down within the mines only to be met with a group of raiders, the intent to steal from miners to get by as they pass through the area.


Bee, our second protagonist is introduced in late episode one - episode two. From a neighboring town that was previously raided by the group now pestering Brennan. Having followed after them with a group of idiotic teenagers from her village for "revenge." Only to end up separated and having to buddy up with Brennan despite his extreme annoyance with being responsible with a child.


While a short series, it follows an ongoing theme of cruelty. This isn't a modern civilized world and people will and have done horrible things to merely get by. Even our protagonists (with the exception of Bee, being that she is still fairly young) are no better than the raiders in the series. The story is only told through their point of view.


REQUIREMENTS.


Please be thirteen or older.


Have a decent sounding mic, I am not asking for something amazing but your voice is needed to be heard clear enough to be intelligible.


Have a discord for communication.

This is a casual project, there are no severe due dates nor do I really have any set. Generally all I ask is to have them within a reasonable time spand (preferably within a month)


This series in particular is targeted for a small community I've grown to be apart of and created story lines with, therefore no crazy traction is expected or anything like that.

Brennan. [MAIN]

  • Brennan is the main protagonist, nineteen years of age and suffering from unrelenting psychosis that interferes with his everyday life and critical decision making. Hearing, seeing, a feeling things are are not there.


  • A severely paranoid yet starry-eyed and childish character at times. Other times rough and distant. His mood able to change on the dot and becoming an entirely different person without warning.


This character is not a role entirely needed. If a proper VA is not found I myself will end up voicing this character, the reason I prefer not to voice him myself is due to the fact I voice his younger self heard within flashbacks throughout the show so a noticable voice difference would be preferable.


VA's voice can be feminine or masculine, it doesn't matter as this character is transgender.

  1. Bee is the second protagonist first introduced in late episode one - episode two. In her early-mid teenage years.

She's a persistent, starry-eyed, and snarky character. While not oblivious to the world around her she might as well be, hardly ever seeing a scrap of violence except the occasional affray within her town.


Although, She seeks to be anything but weak despite her inexperience. Having a talent for engineering that was pushed aside.


Otherwise she acts like any other teenager.

  • James is the raiders leader at first being introduced in episode two he isn't some big bad nor a good person.


Merely wishing to provide for those who follow him in efforts to survive. Oftentimes being seen as charismatic, protective, and friendly to those blind to his manipulative and aggressive interior. Truly doing anything to make sure his group survives.

She's resourceful and at times a little more careless than James, sharing the same goal to merely support the rest of their people and survive.

  • Sophie is in her late teenage years, one of this raider group members.


She always on edge and almost aggressive. While only a teenager she'll oftentimes find herself attacking unsuspecting miners in hopes to bring more resources to her group. Finding them as her only family since she was only ten.

  • Miles is teenager in his late teens within the raider group who unfortunately dies moments after introduction, therefore if VA wants to I recommend auditioning for a second role.


While short lived, Miles is an overly ambitious and rash boy. Making decisions on the spot and taking his role in the world as a raider to heart. Thriving in the hard times that forced them to become one to survive.

Constantly stressed out and fully aware of the weight of their actions. But it has to be done so he lets it slip from his mind. Being the somewhat caretaker like figure over the younger members.
