Project Overview
WELCOME TO THE HEAT HAZE
Please make sure to read this entire description before auditioning!
For those who are unfamiliar with me I am known as Kai✮, and if you have found your way to my casting call then that must mean you have an interest in the Kagerou Project series!
This is a long running project that I wish to start to find other people who love the KagePro series as much as I do, and it is something I've been wanting to start for months - and I finally have the opportunity to do it!
So what is HAZE?
HAZE is a chorus group which will cover the songs from the Kagerou Project vocaloid series produced by Jin. Members will be expected to be able to both sing and voice act, as I am aiming to plan some voice acting projects as well as creating vocal covers.
The Audition Process
This chorus will be made up of members who voice characters from the KagePro series, and auditions require you to sing one song related to that character, and voice act one line of dialogue in Japanese. You are free to audition for a main role, a minor role (if you would like a minor role in addition to a main role then let me know), or to be a mixer. Feel free to audition for as many roles as you want to ^^
I have already casted myself as Konoha, so the main roles available to audition for are:
Kido
Kano
Seto
Marry
Momo
Takane/Ene
Shintaro
Hibiya
Ayano
If you would like to audition for Ene you will be voicing both of her forms - Ene and Takane.
The minor characters which are available are:
Azami
Hiyori
Shion
I will also be needing artists, mixers and animators for this project. This is a big project and I'm gonna be needing all the help I can get!!
How will this chorus be organised
Everything will be organised in a subsection of the Kagerou Daze discord fan server, so please make sure you have discord if you want to be part of this!
If you wish to join the server regardless of whether you would like to audition or not just use the link below - we're always happy to get new members! The KagePro fandom may be dead most of the time but some of us still continue to express our love for the series regardless so please do join us!! Audition Deadline
The deadline will be August 15th [because I felt like that was appropriate ehehe]
I may cast a couple of weeks before this deadline if an audition is exceptionally fitting for a character, but otherwise KagePro day will be the day I allocate vocalist roles to people.
Illustrators, mixers, and video editors, however, may get cast pretty quickly after sending in auditions!

Kido is the leader of the Mekakushi Dan. She has a very cool and responsible exterior, and takes her role as leader extremely seriously, but she cares very deeply for her Dan members and is actually very cute. Her voice is low, calm, and usually pretty reserved.
*explaining* Tou yuu koto de, oretachi wa omae na nouryoku wo senyou dekiru you ni naru you tetsudatte yarou to omou
Sing either Mekakushi Code or Shissou World
Seto is a pure sunshine child. He is scared of a lot of things, and finds his eye power, which allows him to read minds, hard to deal with sometimes, but he can be brave when he needs to be and cares a lot about those he is close to. He speaks in a genki tone, and uses the sentence ender "-ssu".

Sing either Imagination Forest or Shounen Brave
Kano seems like a goofy mischief maker, but he is much more than that. His playful personality is actually hiding his pain. He always seems to know a lot more than he lets on, and is good at manipulating people. He tends to speak in a playful tone and enjoys teasing the other members of the Dan.

Sing Yobanashi Deceive
Marry is a cute, fluffy girl who loves cute things. She grew up scared of the outside world, but is very at home in the Dan. She has a cute, high, calm voice, and is pretty timid, but she can be extremely brave when she needs to be.
Un! Seto ga mukainikite kureta no! Ano toki ureshikatta na~
Sing either Imagination Forest or Marry no Kakuu Sekai
Momo is an idol who hates having all the attention focused on her. She is very genki, and very easily goes with the flow of whatever is happening around her. She is determined and optimistic, always ready to do whatever is needed of her.
*genki* Soukka... iya~ nannara onee-san ga annaishite agetemo ii yo!
Sing either Kisaragi Attention or Otsukimi Recital
If you audition for this role you should be able to voice both Takane and Ene for this chorus.
Takane is a tsundere who doesn't know how to convey her feelings. She seems very snappy and ill tempered but is actually very caring, she just doesn't know how to show it.
Ene is who Takane later becomes. She is a very high energy AI who lives in Shintaro's (and later the rest of the Dan's) electronic devices. She is very mischievous, cheeky, and playful, and enjoys seeing Shintaro become distressed.
Your voice doesn’t need to change much between these two forms, but Ene should be much more energetic than Takane.

Sing either Jinzou Enemy, Headphone Actor, or Yuukei Yesterday
Shintaro is the doutei hikineet who hasn't left his room in 2 years. He is Momo's older brother and Ene's "goshujin-sama". Shintaro dislikes people and doing things and lives his life on the internet (sasuga hikineet). He's the one who is done with everyone's shit and is pretty tsun. His voice is low and lazy and he can sound pretty snappy sometimes.

Sing either Toumei Answer or Lost Time Memory
Hibiya is an angsty 12 year old who is obsessed with his childhood friend, Hiyori. He is a bit of a brat, and a massive tsundere. He is easily embarrassed, but also extremely determined and will stop at nothing to find Hiyori after she becomes trapped in the daze.
*done* Shiranai sonna no... tte yuu ka, mou ii deshou? Boku hayaku ikitai dakedo
Sing Kagerou Daze
Ayano is the original founder of the Mekakushi Dan, and the older sister of its original 3 members, Kido, Seto, and Kano. She seems to be a happy carefree girl who cares deeply about her siblings and friends, however she is also hiding a lot of pain. She enters the Kagerou Daze of her own volition in order to try and put a stop to the plans of the snake of the clearing eyes. She has a calm voice, and is always trying to make other people happy, perhaps due to her nature as an older sister.
*encouraging* Takane-san wa motto jibun ni shoujiki ni narubeki desu.
Sing Ayano's Theory of Happiness
Azami is the creator of the Daze. She has been alive since the beginning of time, and has gone through the world facing violence and fear from humans. She has had everything she loves taken from her, and this led her to create the Daze. She speaks with a calm and wise tone of someone who has wandered the earth for many years.
*calm but emotional* Dokoka de kidzuiteta no da... watashi ga iru kara dame da to...
Sing either Shinigami Record or days
Hiyori is a [kinda bratty] 12 year old who seems to think that the world revolves around her. She has a crush on Konoha and orders Hibiya around like a servant. She speaks as if the entire world is beneath her, but acts cute whenever Konoha's around.
*sarcastic?* Nani yo? Nanka monkuaru dake? Ima sugu kaette morattate ii no yo.
Sing Kagerou Daze
Shion is Marry's mother, and she cares a great deal about her daughter. She is kind and loving, and will do whatever she needs to in order to keep Marry safe. She has a calm and soothing voice, and a maternal aura about her.
*wistful* Zutto jikan ga susumanai sekai ka... soko ni ittara donna kanji na no ka na

Link some examples of your mixing - preferably samples where you have mixed 2+ voices.
Due to the songs we will be covering you will need to be able to mix multiple sets of vocals. Some songs will only require mixing in 2 sets of vocals, but others might need you to be able to mix in up to maybe 9 sets of vocals altogether, so we really do need at least 2-3 dedicated mixers who can help out with this!! Also make sure you let me know what your discord ID is with your audition!

You will need to be committed to the chorus, but since this a long running project (and hopefully we'll have multiple people working on videos??) deadlines will most likely be spaced out enough for you to be able to try and fit this in with the rest of your schedule.
